The equipment IS crap. Breaks down regularly, and when it's not broken down lots of the reports are hard to hear, and when it's an ESL dictating you might as well forget it. And since you're living in fear of so much as putting a comma in the wrong place that's not good. I don't know if it's true but I heard that now they don't even pay for down time, and the down time due to technical problems is no one's fault but theirs! So you sit there and suck it up, making nothing, hoping someone figures out what's wrong with the system today? I don't think so.

To Diskriter's credit though, for what it's worth, the QA people are very nice (one of them, NS, was a psycho who never addressed her emails, never answered questions, and was a good buck-passer, but I think they got rid of her from what I've heard talking to people who are still there). Not to mention looking through doctor list after doctor list trying to identify a name that someone mumbled into an inaudible recording. ugh

There are very nice people who work there, but maybe they're too nice because the hospital rules them with an iron fist and they don't seem like they know how to stand up for themselves, much less for the MT's who end up bearing the brunt of all of it.

It's a classic example of "give the hospital an inch and they'll take a mile".

It's too bad.
