If you're suffering financially from not having a child, and you likewise cannot afford to pay for IVF, then YOU CANT AFFORD TO HAVE A CHILD. Insurance doesn't pay for raising children.
Getting pregnant is NOT a necessary part of life. It is an emotional desire, and for some it is seen as a religious duty. But necessary to sustain your own life? Nope.
Medical insurance is not about compassion, it is about protecting yourself from financial ruin due to UNFORESEEN circumstances that are out of your control. Your appendix bursts, you have a stroke and require rehabilitation, you are in a car crash and break several bones, you need CABG in order to stay alive.
If having a child was a mental issue for you, than your insurance is best used on psychological therapy to learn how to live your life when you don't have complete control.
Having a child is elective. Some choose to have them, some choose not to have them.
Did you die from not having a child? Nope, you're still here. Same as you were.
