Apparently I am too meticulous (LOL!). I always format mine in the e-mail, along with making the changes necessary to gear it towards the particular job. The only difference for me and my resume-sending technique in the MT world versus the real world is that my cover letter is short and sweet, only a few sentences long, and adds nothing to my resume as far as job skills or why I am qualified for the position.
