Word 2007 help

I had the same problem when I switched from Word 2003 to 2007 and had problems with my invoicing due to the docx files. I contacted the person who created MP Count what I use for my invoices, and he said to to open up word and click on the icon in the top left hand corner and scroll down to save as, that will open up other options one being save as Word 97-2003 and from then on everything you save a document it will be saved under doc.file and not docx.file. Hope this helps. FYI I still do not like 2007!!!

Word 2007 help

Can someone out there with more knowledge please help?

I have Word 2007 and my doucments changed from doc.file to docx.files and I have no idea why. I have had word since 2007 so this is not new to me.

I am also unable to email a document from the Word 2007 home page. I have run a Word diagnostic and cannot seem to find any problems.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks!

Line count in MS Word 2007
Does anybody know how to get their line count when typing a regular office note in Microsoft Word 2007?  This software is so new to me.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Applied at Transcend but they do not allow Word 2007

and Microsoft quit selling Word 2003 in June of this year, which means they will quit supporting it soon, too.  I hate to pay $187.00 for an outdated piece of software for working.  I have a new computer and specifically requested Windows XP but did not think about Office 2007 not being usable.

Is Dictaphone EXText compatible with Word 2007?

LOL, they still aren't compatible with Vista or Word 2007...

If one is making 7 cpl in 2007, and they were (sm)
also making 7 cpl in 1977, how does that add up to more money? Only if one works oneself into an early grave.
Here it is 2007, and I WISH I could make $35,000! (sm)
This year I'm gonna be lucky to hit $18,000. :(
Have 2007 BMW, before that 2002 BMW, now
that is is almost 2008, well will just have to see what my better half wants to do. He buys me these, surprises me. I do not know what it cost, what he pays each month, don’t care- He says he wants me to have really good drive and he sees that I do.
Yep, I worked for them in 2007
I used to live in VA Beach and they were the only at-home company that would give me a chance since I had only worked in house and only had 1 year's experience. I did QA of transcription from Indian MTs and the pay was low for quite a bit of editing, but at least I got my foot in the door. As soon as I had enough experience, I went elsewhere for more pay. The owner is a really great guy that is very understanding if any personal things come up and he always paid on time. Their IT people were really great too.
I worked there from 2007-08 sm
They people were great.  The platform really just utilizes word and copy and pasting demographics (which you get paid for) and then you upload back to the company.  The pay is on the low side, but my accounts were pretty easy clinic work, so it evened out.
The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
Anything new on Probity? Last info was from 2007 (nm) TIA

Has Spheris improved any since 2007? I saw an add SM

and was thinking about applying. I worked for them before all the changes happened.

Thanks.

You should take the post of 3/7/2007 off about similar posting
just a suggestion. Again, nothing bad was said by poster, but it does have the phrase over and over again.

I apologize for not knowing that you are not interested in what happens on other boards.
Been there since 10/2007. There are still slow issues. I do not think they are that flexible..sm
I've been MT for > 10 years. They are better than the evil Q, for whom I worked for 8 years, but I am sure there are better companies out there. The acct specs are no problem, but the platform definitely still is. I have cable Comcast, so slowness issues are not on my end. IT works with it, but not well; there are issues. They will not give me time off--less than a week--to accompany my sister when she picks up the baby she is adopting because I have been there less than a year...Email me if you have specific questions. I would say think carefully before accepting their offer. Make sure you tell the recruiter if you think you will need ANY time off in the next year or you may not get it. I did not think to mention last October that I would need time off this May. Mistake.
I did. On page 3 post from 2007 says no current
x
They were bought by Nuance in the spring of 2007.
And apparently they feel that stating that fact makes them sound more respectable, I guess.  Nuance also owns Dictaphone and Escription.
small to medium company that works in Word or Word-based program - email me. nm
nm
Post here in Jan. 2007 said they have mandatory overtime. Is this true?
s
Medware..There hasn't been anything on this board since August 2007...(sm)

Does anyone who works for Medware care to share their opinion about the company in regards to steady work, flexible schedules, platform, benefits, etc.?  You can e-mail me if you wish.  TIA.

I just filed 2007 taxes for gross income of $52,341.
NM
They offered me 9.5 cents a line in August of 2007
I don't think that is very low.
ExText is integrated with Word. Auto correct is a part of Word.
ExText is a Word based platform. When the page opens for you to type the document it will be just like you are typing in MS Word.
anyone work for Oracle - do they use Word or a Word-based program - e-mail me nm
nm
Just wanna work in Word - need company that works in WORD! nm
nm
Their program works with Word and does not change how Word functions. sm
You use your own expander. Overall I feel it is user friendly and I like it.
Use the Google box search for MTStars at page top. A few posts from 4/2007 come up.
.
They started looking in 2007. No promises. Now it is a reality and yes, they are paying half. sm
They always come through. Why do you tell lies on here? They are the best out there and those of us that are there and have been a while know that.
Cbay systems layed off 32 employees via conference call on 12/21/2007
Anyone here affected by this?  I am so sick over this.
Terry..check the archives..you posted this back in 8-23-2007. See inside.

Does the Emdat platform use Word or is it Word-based? nm
nm
Word for Word Medical Transcription
Pros and cons please.
In his ad, he's asking for Word Perfect, not Word, if that matters. nm
s
The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
Now I wish they would just call me back......no word no word and
What is up with these MT companies that advertise. They don't even answer. I have a great resume, tons of experience. I'm confused.
word for word company
does anyone know about word for word transcription company?  how are they to work for, platform?  thanks in advance!
I was told I could use word pad since I don't have word

I have 1 computer to speak of that I did not buy personally.  the company has their own platform and their own computer to be rented.  I would not be typing in word.  I have never had a problem testing this way before.  I am not saying certified is better.  I was explaining my circumstance.  I have my own personal computer ordered for my use and I wanted to test fast without waiting. geez.

"overtime" is not a generic word. "incentive" is a generic word. Over time means time

In Word..
Select the tools menu and then Autocorrect. Then check the box next to capitalize First letter of sentences.

Are you using Word? sm
If you are using Microsoft Word you can change the background to something that suits your eyes and the text to a lighter color.
One word - RUN!!!!
Owner is not all there, if you know what I mean. There are better places to work. Let them hire overseas. Perhaps those workers will put up with their garbage treatment.
Everything is done in Word
plenty of samples though, and she pays per gross line, not 65 characters.
Word
I have Word 2003 and it works just fine
A (only one word)
nm
One word? Looks like 6 to me.
nm
word for word
I worked for them and they can be fair, which is hard to find these days with others. I was a new MT and they gave me a chance that no one else would consider doing. good luck
Same here...no word nm
nm
The new word for lay off.

The new word is idle, used as a verb.  I doubt that the MTs will remain idle for long.  What terrible writing, and what a terrible deal for MTs.  I wonder whether Ormond will be happy when people from another country are transcribing his family's medical records.

Meanwhile, the company issued a federal layoff notice this week that it will idle 102 workers in its Heartland Information Services medical-transcription unit. Seven employees are in Toledo. A company spokesman said the cuts will occur in early July.

Toledo Blade.

Still no word.....sm

Patience is not one of my greatest virtues! lol  Anyway, if someone gets a response from Editors Wanted, could you email me please?  Thanks!

Take MY word for it, -
I simply must disagree...
Take my word for it,
I've been paid both ways. Yes, they will say that all the exams equal themselves out, but with CT and MRI exams, etc. you can get some really long reports. You may get lucky and have short reports, but I highly doubt it!
