Why do people think they have to be the QA police here. I am so tired of

people voicing their opinions, only to have it pointed out they didn't spell something correctly, or used the wrong word, or made a typo. We put up with this day in and day out in our jobs, trying to make sure everything is correct. Do we really have to do it here too? Frankly, I'm sick of it.

I am not miserable at all. I am just tired of excuses of why people cannot work! nm

Maybe they are tired of hiring so-called experienced people sm
wwho get someone else to test for them. Maybe they want to hear the correct answers straight from the horse's mouth so to speak...
I've feel for the same thing and tired of dishonest people.
My favorite was when a recruiter would actually do all of her recruiting by pretending to be an MT. She went to great length singing the praises of her company, even though others were badmouthing the company. She was very convincing until I put two and two together. Actually, she wasn't too smart. She private emailed me from the board as the MT saying that she would contact her boss to recommend me.. Well, though and behold her boss and her both had the same email. Now, do I look like a moron or what. So, honestly, I rarely trust those cheerleaders on here and just take it with a grain of salt because you never know who your talking to.
tired, tired, tired of all the tech
problems with these platforms. I just want to work on an old fashioned program, like WP5.1 or Medrite, maybe with voice wave. Too many problems. Does anybody know any companies that use something like these. Just call me a dinosaur lover.
I am not the MT police, but sometimes I wish
cute one!
the what police? lol

POLICE REPORT
Start requesting police reports of this incident...you might need it down the road.
I don't like spelling police either, but...
she did not use they're correctly: P.S. They don't even advertise anymore on here because of they're reputation.
Should be 'their' reputation...
Spelling police is not necessary here.

No spelling police please
on these boards
Are you the board police?
x
we don't do spelling police here. NM
.
Please do not grammar police here...
Many MTs come to this site to relax and may not have the time or desire to proofread their messages.

Police state
Yes, but I'd be much more worried that your government now has all of under just about 24 hour surveillance. THAT's a police state...
That would be grandma police.

are you the spelling police?
so sorry I thought the spelling police were banned from here, guess I was wrong. But I am glad to know you don't ever add an extra letter in a word. Oh I wish I could be perfect.
GRAMMAR POLICE - sm
Having nothing meaningful to contribute, these immature holier-than-thou self-proclaimied experts need to vent their insecurities by finding fault with something as insignificant as spelling/grammar. Reminds me a lot of a large percentage of QAs -- need to nitpick on something trivial, real or imagined.
I would just tell them to kiss my butt, unless they are also paying my salary - otherwise they should MTOB.

What are you, the question police?
People should be able to ask a question at the present time and get answers and not have other people running around the board saying, Google it, or Search the board.
You know, that is really not helpful and quite rude. Everyone already knows that, so if you can't answer the question, why don't you keep your advice (that everyone already knows) to yourself? Okay?
So tired of this attitude.
Well thank you, company board police!
before posting anything to this forum in the future.
let moderator know; they will ban the spelling police
nm
Sorry the police "busted" you, but thank you for the info. (sm)
Why do people feel compelled to correct our grammer when we are just relaxing and sharing info here? We are not really trying to put out a perfect polished product.
How rude, excuse me, Ain't that rude?
Thank you again for answering so many of my questions.
I have called the police department already..sm
I am not playing. They faxed me the paperwork and I am giving her until Friday for a cashier's check OR money order is in my hands, she is in trouble! LIES LIES LIES that is all she has done.
spelling police not necessary. OP obviously upset..

Advise is in SpellCheck. So maybe you should have suggested Proofing Ms Grammar Police.
nm
To the SpellCheck Queen and Grammar Police...Sorry for the errors. I sent it before proofing.
I know it's a MT no-no.
The moderators have already requested that you stop with the grammar police stuff.
This is not the forum for you to try to be queen of QA. I am not insecure about my grammar skills, but I certainly am not going to get all in a tizzy if I make a mistake while posting on a message board, nor will I get all bent out of shape if I see an error in someone else's post. This forum is here to network with each other about various companies, hence the name COMPANY board and not GRAMMAR board.
Note post on main board re: MTIA forcing credentialing. Can we say police state?
??
because i'm tired of you or whoever
Nonsense about MQ going under. Vague statements like "watch out" or "be scared, changes on the way" and nothing to back it up. I work for this company and so do about 9,999 people, you are playing with our minds here. I have sifted through everyone one of these postings worried i'm going to lose my job. Sorry if it was not you, but someone is doing it.
Tired? Where are you getting the
variables of 8, 16, or 24 hour work weeks? I've read everything and see nothing about that.
I'm currently an SE (having just switched from FTE several months ago!), tier 3, and capped at the line rate, but see NOTHING about part time having to work in 8, 16, or 24 hours. Perhaps my eyes are worse than I thought!
Tired of it too...
Work myself to death and can't get line requirement. Was told they paid for headers and footers, but apparently not..Made up to $18/hr in private sector and if I get close to $10, it's a REALLY good day.
sorry I'm tired, not your, you are.

Sorry, I am tired
and did not read your post that well. Here is a link to help you convert from DocQScribe expansions to Shorthand:

It may take a little tweaking to get it right, but it sure beats starting over.
Tired Too...
There is too much unpaid time, period, in this industry. There is a significant amount of time worked that isn't paid. We don't get paid by time, we get paid by moving fingers. I recently had a situation where I was having a new application installed. It was installed wrong and I fought the thing all day trying to figure out the problem. Finally, someone sees one little box not checked. I miss an entire day of pay, but the person who screwed up my install gets paid. Now there is something very wrong with this picture. I'm personally working on changing it, but it is a long road to hoe. Our pay structure is a little confusing to the average attorney.
