If you know Radiology, there's no reason you can't transition to acute care.  If you were able to learn RAD, you can learn the rest.  It may be different in areas, but nothing you can't learn if that's what you truly want to do.


Since you sound like you've truly thought about this, have you thought about keeping your RAD job and starting on acute care PT?  If you can't find something by fully disclosing up-front, you could study plenty of it on your own.


I did both, and found them both enjoyable.  I absolutely love Radiologists due to the close relationship that forms from working so closely with them.  I had 4 of them at my wedding, and one flew in from NM!
