If you have lots of trees you are out of luck though - sm
I just tried to get satellite (both my IC jobs would have worked fine with it) but we have too many trees and they did not have a clear line of site unfortunately. So I am out of luck and totally stuck. Think it is time to ferret out who to contact at Verizon and start harrassing for DSL (it is out here I am just 3 miles or so out from it).
I work for the MQ, and they save reports. I don't save them.

Who cares?
I can't even believe that all of you are wasting your time talking about how to spell the stupid word anyway. Don't you have something better to do with your time than argue about how to spell a word that really ISN'T a word? GET A LIFE!!!
WHO CARES
NM
NOBODY CARES!!!!
Enough already. Do you have enough work now? I am flooded with work for over 3 weeks now (not complaining, love it).
Who really cares..? I don't!!!. nm

who cares
17 yrs exp. and nobody cares
I'm so sick of seeing ads requiring mega years of experience in multiple specialties, working knowledge of various platforms and every conceivable toy already installed on your computer only to find out the pay is entry-level at best.
Here we go again … who cares? nm

Look out for #1, who cares about anyone else.
Sigh. Thank goodness our forefathers weren't as selfish as we've become.
Nobody cares where you work or what you think.

who cares if they are in india
i heard good things about them
But who really cares? Anyone that has been in this business
knows it takes awhile to get back to people!!!!! If every company came on this board to read their stats, it would be full of stats. Do we really want to see them? If we do, I urge Transolutions, Transcend, Medware, every company that posts to come to this board and say all this. Do we really want to know. The board would be full of statistics. Do we care? No!
Like who the heck cares if she is one or not?

CMT according to AAMT, who cares?
I attended the best MT school in my area in 1971. It was held in a very large medical center with a R.N. supervisor as the instructor for our medical subjects and an English/Business teacher who taught medical office procedures, health, etc. We saw autopsies, learned to give injections and take BPs. We did rounds with doctors during our internship. We worked in the field in this hospital in at least 9 different areas, doing medical transcription, and were graded by the department supervisor at the end of each term. This on-hands medical training gave us the absolute best when it came to understanding what what we were transcribing. At the end of the course, we were given CMT pins and diplomas and I have considered myself a CMT ever since, which is a heck of a lot longer than the AAMT has been in existence! I do not care about any list they have compiled nor do I care about a $300 test they give so you can become certified. That means nothing to me. I have my excellent training and over 35 years of experience, as well as my diploma stating I am a certified medical transcriptionist, and that is what I am.
really who cares if you have nothing to hide?
now if they are delving into your personal life then thats another story, thats just plain nosey. But a criminal background check is not a bad idea.
You know what everyone? Who cares if you're a CMT or not...
If you're good, you're good. If you're not, then oh well. I make $21 (yes, $21) per hour PLUS incentive, and I'm not a CMT. So there. Get over yourselves. My goodness.
So what noone cares about my opinion? I am still

Managment cares
The upper management, and I mean the administration, lets you know they really care and they admit that it is the MTs that are the backbone of the company. They let you know you are appreicated.
who cares if they're mgt ?

Who flippin' cares?!?!
For the people who don't like what she does, guess what? You don't have to work for her. If you're tired of seeing her job ads, guess what? Use your scroll bar and move past it. But please, stop creating thread after thread about her company. It's getting really old... and it's so pointless.
Who ASKED? And WHO CARES ..nm
who cares? Put your energy into sm
something else. If you have ever had a business you would know that the half that you think they are keeping is NOT their profit! They have to pay self-employment taxes just like you do on the money coming in, overhead, etc. Dont waste so much time worrying about it. You are gonna get an ulcer! GEEZE!
Well, good for you. Who cares if
fellow MTs can afford to feed their families with the lastest pay cuts, as long as YOU are doing fine.
If you think MTSO looks out for/cares for anyone

Who cares your opinion? Get over

who cares if its not a lot of money! You worked and
You should be paid.
I let this go with a local medical transcription company.. only thing is I worked there (at the company) 5 days 6 hours a day and never got paid. I figured I gained experience and they weren't worth fighting. I was just happy to be away from the place and the people who worked there. I H-A-T-E-D that place. In all honesty though, if they send me ANYTHING in the mail as far as taxes are concerned after not paying me.. something will be done.
clicks, cliques..who cares..nm

If it does not affect your paycheck, who cares.....sm
If you can do as many lines or as much work as you want daily, who cares if you are on QA for 5 years. How they run that part of their business should not matter to you, unless you are limited as to how much work you get; thus affecting your paycheck.
I would not give a hoot if they kept me on QA for years, as long as I make my daily line requirement I need to survive.
Just my 2 pennies worth!! :-)
Who cares about punctuation and grammar?
With the doctors using EMR and VR without editing, these things are a thing of the past. Medical records are a mess and nobody cares.
I put my email at the top up there and no one cares enough to write. They just want to complain
and tell untruths about this company. Some are a good fit, others not, but the things that I am reading are definitely not true. I would not worry about constant complainers. These people would not fit in anywhere and I am not upper management either nor am I lower management.
If anybody cares, here is my experience looking for a job for the past 3 weeks
One company writes and says they are hiring and will have a coordinator contact me to schedule testing. I schedule the test. She then writes that she will be out of the office and to reschedule with her when she gets back. When she got back, I wrote her and never heard from her again about rescheduling. That was a company that begins with the letter F + net. Not impressed.
Now transcending that scenario, next company that begins with the letter T...I tested and was offered a position by recruiter only to then be told they did not have the speciality I was looking for after being assured they did before testing. We both agreed to put everything on hold. Later, she contacts me and points me to a job ad for another company offering the work type I was looking for (?) which was nice but odd but then goes on to say she is leaving herself at the end of the month. Recruiters at companies helping you find better jobs at other companies?I'm not real impressed.
Now...the company that recruiter referred me to begins with an Arch and hardly any posts on them anywhere to be found. They tested me and offered me a position to start ASAP on a new account...ASAP drags out 2 weeks and then am told contract negotiations fell through so no account. I can do another account on a different platform if I want - hmmmm not what I was looking for. Recap = offered a position on an account they didn't have. Not impressed.
In the meantime, investigate going back to a company I used to work for that is unmentionable here - begins with a big M. I used to work for them so I thought go back to my old account. Three weeks, many e-mails and phone calls later I am hooked up with a recruiting firm they hired and they send me paperwork and schedule me for training. I complete training last week and have heard nothing from production super as promised but I have received 3 phone calls today from recruiting firm asking me if I need to be scheduled for training (and 2 of those people have never heard of the third person who called me so I am left wondering who I gave my SS# to). Tried corporate office - no luck - no way to contact anybody. Recruiter who had me return my paperwork to her does not know if it was received because she doesn't handle that. Hmmmm....TRULY not impressed.
Another inquiry with yet another company yielded a reply e-mail that stated there was a testing file attached. Hmmm....no file attached. Answered that e-mail and have heard nothing since.
What in the world is going on? Are there truly any good companies left? They keep running ads and complaining about a lack of good MTs when the fault lies possibly, quite possibly, in their complete lack of professionalism that immediately sends up a red flag to prospective employees. When they get their acts together maybe they will have MTs.
Sorry but I needed to rant!!!!!!!!!!!!
She did not say she cares what happens to Transcend, just making her point.

re: She did not say she cares what happens to Transcend, just making her point.
And her point is?
And who cares if the owners are enjoying the profits???
It's their business anyway! Are you saying if you owned your own business you wouldn't enjoy the profits WHO WOULDN'T. Please. Keystrokes is a super company and the CEO, managers, co-workers, everyone is awesome!
I agree...who cares how she spends her money? (sm)
She personally worked with me over the last couple months to get me a solid backup account. I don't know how many people who own companies who would take the time to e-mail one of her MTs several times back and forth to try to find a backup account for them. Normally that is done by someone in the office. But she really worked with me one on one. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that and how it went a long, long way to convince me that I should definitely stay at Keystrokes. It's communication and dedication like that that sets Keystrokes apart and makes them a cut above many other companies.
Save it for QA, please.

Save
Might be a good idea to save a copy of the old manual before it's replaced for comparison purposes. Just a thought.
I strongly disagree; Transcend cares a lot for its employees
If you do not want to play the game, just ignore the e-mails. Or, you may find another company is better for you. No sense being miserable.
And if the owners are gamblers, who cares? I'm glad you entertain yourself.
Thanks for the info--you will save someone
Obviously not soon enough to save the reputation of
the company and possibly some good MTs. If there are more like her around there, no wonder they get such bad comments.
They save millions
by offshoring our work. We may not see the big picture when we think about the penny difference, but pennies make dollars, and dollars make millions. They are saving and pocketing a whole lot more than what they pay editors to fix the junk.
As someone said later in this thread, why not just open up your doors to U.S. newbies who are begging for jobs and ten times better. It is all about mighty greenback, as is everything in this country.
Nobody is stealing our jobs. The U.S. government is allowing MTSOs to hand them over. I don't blame the people who take them at all. They would be crazy not to while living in country that has no jobs if they have a family to clothe and feed. It is all about greed as usual, greedy MTSOs who have no pride and have given in and given up.
The roof will come tumbling down on everybody's heads one day. It's just a matter of time!
My discipline in being able to save
was what I was able to fall back on in order to survive while I worked for them. I had hoped my job with them would work out in spite of the line rate being so low, but it didn't. I found the lines very hard to get. But I'm glad it happened. I'm in a much better place now, having no trouble making my line count and am being paid much more by a company that deducts all taxes.
I didn't realize at first that they weren't taking out my state taxes. I know it was my responsibility to go over my pay stub with a fine tooth comb, but it didn't occur to me that they wouldn't take out my state tax; evey other company I've ever worked for did.
When I discovered it, I requested them to do it, and they refused. That's when I quit.
I just love people who condemn others as having *no discipline* when they don't know the circumstances of the situation or the person involved.
You have to go out and come back in. Save it as if
you are going out of the shell, but then go right back in. I used to do this after every paragraph. I do not remember actually the exact F keys to use to perform that, but you should know from typing in there currently how to get out once you are finished typing. Just go back into the same document. Hope this helps.
Save the file...
To say they belonged to MQ would be like saying you can't take your phone numbers out of your cell phone if you decide to change services - or save your bookmarks in IE and use them in Firefox.
Save yourself and get out of there ASAP.
NO COMPANY IS WORTH SHEDDING A SINGLE TEAR OVER, ESPECIALLY AN MT COMPANY -- THEY BARK AT US LIKE DOGS AND PAY SLAVE WAGES.
You are welcome. Just trying to save you some headaches.
I know you realize I speak the truth, because if you search the archives to about a year ago, you will see the same wording and rah, rah sounds. Then, take a look through the year at at more recent posts, you will easily get the picture. Truth comes out no matter what. There are a few good companies out there and you can find them if you do your research. Good luck to you.
I save all my reports
I'm required to do so. You wouldn't believe how many times I'm contacted to send them this note or that note because they lost it. I also use previous reports as a form for typing previous reports on the same patient as my doctors tend to use almost the exact same report every time (I only do office notes).
If you don't save them, I would assume one
would be out of a job if required to by employer.
It is all about the pennies they will save.
Let's face it, the bean counters really don't give a crap about quality, just how the finances look on the books. Transcription is a thorn in their side, nothing more, nothing less. However, without transcription, their reimbursements would be gone. I don't get why transcription is not valued they way it should be. It goes hand-in-hand with coding and reimbursements for the hospital.
Some things will never change, no matter how hard we try.
