Everyone who solicits new clients can get a reward of either $50 or $100, I think depending upon whether they actually get a sale of accounts brought in or just a lead. So for as much as a whopping $100 I am going to get my employer a client and turn that info over to them? Uh, I think I might just get that client for myself and keep ALL the money!

It is not in Georgia though. The parent company, Transcend, is in Georgia. MDI is located in Florida.

I only have 5 years of experience, but I haven't been offered anywhere near 9 cpl for clinic. I would greatly appreciate it. Granted, not looking to switch jobs any time soon, but wouldn't mind knowing where to look in the future if need be.

My company rocks. Got an E-mail today from our manager about cherry picking (sm)
stating they noticed jobs were getting cancelled once and sometimes twice by same person and that the more difficult dictators were getting picked over. They stated it would not be tolerated and cherry pickers would be addressed and possibly terminated.
I know this is a huge undertaking and may not always get 100% done, but at least they are aware and taking a stand. Perhaps the guilty people will grow up and take the time to learn those dictators now. We all know that some of those horrible ESL say virtually the same thing over and over.
I am just happy that they, once again, prove they are trying to look out for the MTs and MEs and see that we are all treated fairly and equally. I have been very happy with Webmedx up to this point and now even more so.
All the years I worked for MQ, they knew it happened and I don't think made any attempt to address it. At WMX at least they must be monitoring it or they wouldn't know the same person kicked the same job back more than once.
Usually, the less you read about a company on
that it's a good company. Most people will complain sooner than they'll praise something. In in terms of how often you do or don't see a company talked about on MT Stars, no news is usually good news.
Read through the archives, horrible company.
The dictators are some of the worst ESLs, sound quality is horrific, the reports are so bad I had to basically retype them, flaky QA, management problems, etc.

I have removed a thread about Acusis because it was practically 100% absorbed into nothing but hateful rumor and personal attacks of one individual at the company and too much identifying information.
Do not identify people by initials, names or other descriptive information about individuals. Stick to topics about companies, issues, etc., but we will not be tolerating personal attacks on anyone.
While I generally try to use a temporary ban to get your attention for such posting violations, banning for this type of attack will be slower to lift.
Please be responsible with posting in leaving out information about others individuals, internal/privileged information, etc.

I just wanted to clarify something with everyone in hopes to ensure we all are on the same page.
I have deleted some posts that were correcting grammar/spelling, etc., as those are not allowed. I usually will place a temporary ban on a poster in order to stop them and tell them in my action reason why I deleted/banned their post/privileges and ask that if they will abide I will remove the ban. For 99% of posters, this works well as they were not aware that it was a problem or that we are serious about it, at least. However, there are posters on occasion who resort to calling me names and who rant over the morality of some posts left on the board and try to enforce THEIR views or to allow them to pick/choose which posts should remain or even to excuse them from their unwillingness to abide by guidelines. Not happening!
We do not moderate any of the boards for niceness, for ethics, for morals, for specific opinions. We DO moderate for name-calling (troll, liar, or foul names), for posting privileged or private information, for spelling/grammar policing, etc. All opinions are welcome here. Stick to posting about topics, etc.
I just wanted you to know that MTStars does protect YOUR right to express your opinions here - regardless of what perspective it comes from - as long as posting guidelines are upheld. This means that you may well find posts that are offensive to you - just skip them, leave them alone. Stick to discussing or even debating topics but leave the personal attacks alone.
Thank goodness that we do not moderate by any one person's opinion of what is nice or not, right or not, appropriate or not, moral or not!

The pay was decent, though, at 10 cpl, but it was 3rd shift every weekend, and I decided to pass just in case I ever decide to get a life.
Sounds like you had a bad experience -- sorry for that. Hope wherever you are at now is better.
I read the article, it states exactly what the company always tells us...
that they offshore a small percentage of their work, and that it will never take the place of their domestic MLS. I love working at Transcend.
For someone that doesn't work at Transcend, you sure have gone to a lot of trouble to find the article and continue posting about it. Any other issues?

I read all read all the threads in the "companies" section
of another board, MT Chat, and Googled each one that got positive reviews. If they had a website and a way to apply online, I did so. And that was how I got hired at TRS. They were not advertising at the time. By sheer coincidence I applied to Transcend just before I applied to TRS, and they were not interested in what I had to offer at the time. And now they've got me anyway, since they bought TRS. Interesting how things work out sometimes.
Companies with negative reviews, or company queries that got only a terse I sent you a PM reply, I passed over.

and it seems those are your posts, too, so things just didn't add up and seemed inconsistent. If a place dropped me down to p.r.n. at 7 cpl or whatever and I already had another job where I could get 1000-1500 lines, I wouldn't give the first place a second thought so just couldn't figure out why anyone else would.

my take on the e-mail
e-mail (free) blanketing anyone who gets on an MT mailing list looking for unskilled (low pay) workers to churn out poor quality work for big profits. Sounds right out of a get rich book to me. Standard operating procedure for most companies in transcription biz.
