Deventure and word expanders
I was just hired by Deventure and was wondering what, if any, the MTs at Deventure use? I currently don't have one and before I buy one I want to make sure it will work with the platforms at Deventure. Thanks in advance for any replys!

Tested there 10 days ago and never heard a word back..guess I failed! nm

That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.
That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.
OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.
I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.
Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
DVHP
If you are interested in learning the e-Scription side it is probably a good place to learn but not to make any real money. Their own platform SHINE is cumbersome, slow, and about 5 years behind the times. They have all kinds of catchy little bonuses to lure you with but to take away at whim also; you should be very careful about this decision.
PT MTs at DVHP
end up using all their accumulated PTO for the days there is no work and that isn't enough to cover all the days there is no work I can assure you. Company has had to tighten up their belt since the law suit and PT and per diem folks are taking the brunt. If you are FT and there isn't enough work you can lose your benefits because you didn't meet their line requirements ???? and there is no notice given.
DVHP
I am very happy with their flexibility, however there really isn't enough work for the current employees & they are hiring more! Pay has NEVER been late & everyone is VERY helpful and accomodating. If you want tons of work, go elsewhere or take on more than 3 accounts.
DVHP
I have been there for a long time and haven't had any problems with pay. They are currently running low on work, but it IS that time of the year for everyone. Just stick it out...they are worth it! Everyone is VERY understanding and makes every effort to accomodate you, no matter what.

Hi - was looking for something else and saw your question. Yes, I work for DVHP and love it. The place is really great. Yes, there is a merger with Transcend and apparently it will take place at the first of the year. We were told that everything will remain the same, same clients, same hours, etc. That remains to be seen tho. I have never had any problems with DeVenture, so we shall see what happens. DeVenture is really a great place to work with great people. I received employment papers to fill out for Transcend, and believe me, it should take me a month to get through it all. But, I am sure it will be worth it. And, yes, the pay scale so far is equal.
Without question, DVHP is the
poorest excuse for an MTSO on the horizon. I hope the lawsuit finishes him. The CEO of that company speaks so poorly of MTs generally and treats his employees so badly that other than the fact innocent, hardworking people woould lose jobs, that company folding would be an answer to a prayer. He is and was the most insufferable man I have ever been unfortunate enough to meet. I am so happy to finally hear that the lawsuit went forward. He will be left holding his butt and that would serve him absolutely right!
Transcend/DVHP
What does everyone think about the new joined forces of Transcend/DeVenture Health Partners? Came by surprise for me, but still not sure what to expect. Anyone?
Not just VR stuff running out either at DVHP...
I've always done straight transcription work and, yeah, dang. All my PTO has been used up trying to cover the loss of lines due to lack of work, so I wouldn't have to pay the health insurance portion the company pays. Nice penalty for us due to shortage of work...being made responsible for 100% of our 'benefits.' I used to brag up and down about this company...can't say I'll be doing that any time soon.
whats the FTC?

Whats OP?
LOL!!
Whats up Doc?
What is up DOc. Annonimity is the best in the world. I have been with JLG far longer than you and I dont know who you refer to when you say an owner who cares for her employees. Must be a friend of yours becasuse those of us who have to work dont see the kindness you have lied about.
Whats the company's name?

why run? whats happening
I wonder what caused you to say that...I worked for Accustat of Albuquerque, NM for a year and got let go along with about 20 other MTs last December (after Christmas) with no warning or notice whatsoever. I was told the doctors for those clinics were no longer required to dictate. Just like that with one email my job was gone. I have learned this is a very unstable job field.
whats the 411 on smartmed
Ad sounds awesome. Anyone been there, done that? Only 1 post in the archives I could find.

Whats the scoop on TTS out of New Hampshire?
Are they still on the crap list?
are you bragging or whats your point?
LOL
That's whats so great about America.....
you can choose to bury your head in the sand and hope it will never affect YOU, and that it will all go away. But hey, it's all good.
Well of course I plan to. Whats your problem?
MDI, Transcend, or wherever, we're all in this together. Unless of course you're on the suit-side of the fence.
The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
Company paid me 179 for 4645 lines. Whats that 3.8 cpl?
She does not seem to want to contact me about the money she owes me, either. Thirty years and 3.8 cpl. Unbelievable.
small to medium company that works in Word or Word-based program - email me. nm

ExText is integrated with Word. Auto correct is a part of Word.
ExText is a Word based platform. When the page opens for you to type the document it will be just like you are typing in MS Word.
anyone work for Oracle - do they use Word or a Word-based program - e-mail me nm

You bill 30 days behind, and they snail mail it so it's late - about 40 days from invoice
No way jose - they even messed up their direct deposit payments
Just wanna work in Word - need company that works in WORD! nm

Their program works with Word and does not change how Word functions. sm
You use your own expander. Overall I feel it is user friendly and I like it.

Pros and cons please.
In his ad, he's asking for Word Perfect, not Word, if that matters. nm

The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
Now I wish they would just call me back......no word no word and
What is up with these MT companies that advertise. They don't even answer. I have a great resume, tons of experience. I'm confused.
Would that be 5 business days or 5 regular days?
So when are we going to be paid this time around since you're so knowledgable?
Sorry, but for some of us a day or 2 actually makes a difference.
Most want 20 hours over 5 days, but it could be more, or it could be spread over 4 days. nm

Correction - TH has 5 PTO days 1st year/10 days 2nd yr

It is true. Any job has its good days and bad days.
Perhaps you'd like to just keep your old job and try this one out. Just because a poster here is crabbing about it, or even if as in the past there have been negative posts, odds are that there are very happy people who don't even post or know that this board exists. As Alice says. Everything is relative. The fact that this company is hiring and pays may be a place which is a blessing. As opposed to digging ditches on day labor for example. Or somebody might prefer digging ditches. This is just an example. Sometimes we who are employable, even though we don't make as much as we used to in this business, or as much as we would like to, we still if working at home do not pay for gas to go to work, career clothes, deal with office politics, have to look at a boss who writes us up if we are a minute late, etcetera. I don't make half as much as I used to, but I don't send my 3 children to day care which by the way saves us money. SO I remind my husband I am worth that in addition to my salary if I had a job outside. No job is perfect. I am not even sure if Focus is any good or not, I have not worked there. But if one poster says there are good days and bad, I say that is the most honest answer you are going to get anywhere, and if you need a job badly, how is it to hurt trying it out, until you know for sure for yourself? THanks for listening. But sometimes this board gets to be a bit much with the agendas of people railing on other people like the OP here who just wanted all opinions instead of just one side. Balance is always great. And, if things seem lop-sided, then it is a good thing to seek out both sides. IMHO.
I think they would. Those are good days for 10-hour days. sm
I have a set schedule but it is Tues-Sat and it works well for me. It wouldn't hurt to ask!
90 days is correct. 3 days off 1st year, 10 during 2nd.
