What we know most is that Wilma has been there 2 years and is happy.

Her insurance is also $17 a week too.. LOL I'm sorry but it is kind of funny. I guess you have to love the enthusiasm or wonder if this is mgt pumping up the company. I'm sure two years from now Wilma will still be happy at Medware; it must be the greatest job on earth. Maybe I should apply

Very happy with SL MQ for years now...

Happy for 3 years
The company has been good for me. All archives are from 2004. All companies have some disgruntle posting. Check it out and make your own decision.
For MQ many years, now with WMX, very happy.
Course, after the misery of MQ, this feels like heaven! No complaints so far -- been there since April. IMHO, this company fits me to a T.
I am very happy there for about 2 years

I have been there for nearly 3 years, very happy.
They are nothing but honest with their employees, if that is really what you are looking for. I don't know anything about the offshoring mentioned in another post...they experimented with it early last year (notified employees up front that they were, it was no secret) but I never heard how it went. They recently had a layoff due to low work levels, could not keep everyone busy. Work is picking back up now. I will warn you that the quality standards are very high. Good luck in your job search!
I have been there over 4 years and I am still happy. nm

Where are the VERY experienced MTs (20+ years) happy?
I have 25 years of acute care experience. I have worked in house for a hospital, I have been an MTSO, I have had my own accounts with and without subcontractors, mostly acute care but some clinic.
I am thinking it may be best to switch to clinic rather than acute care. But where is it possible to make at least somewhere approaching what I could with my own accounts? Any ideas?
Maybe I just need to go out and find my own accounts again. I thought working for someone else would work out okay, but I'm not making enough money and when there's no work I sure can't make any.
Three + years at Transtech and still happy
:)
Wilma. Could you tell me more about the insurance.
Do you know what the cost is for single versus family coverage and do you have a lot of ESL accounts?
Thanks Wilma! Do you mind if I ask...sm
what the pay scale is like? And does that include spaces, headers or footers? Also wondering if you punch a time clock, how flexible your schedule is, and if they offer family coverage on the insurance. Any additional info you could provide would be most appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like.
Thanks again!!!
Wilma, please email me.
I would like to talk to you, please.
Thanks.
Wilma pls email me if you can
I am very interested in learning more after seeing their upcoming hospital accts. Would you be able to find out what family coverage is per pay period or per month? Is this insurance deductibles or copay for office visits? Need to find new family coverage soon, working as IC now and considering going back to employee status to get it. Thanks!
I've been happy for the past 2 years
No problems at all for me, and only getting better now with our annual raise (I know it's small, but it is something), holiday pay, more PTO, etc.

You can't eat out, yet you are happy with a job that takes 5 years to learn, and couldn't pay
Sounds like a great job to me. Downsizing our minds too. I will be these companies are hooting and hollerging in their second homes, vacations, which we rarely get and still sleep soundly at night. Something is very wrong with this picture.

I wonder if she is real... ?? Every time anyone asks for feedback on MedWare, she says exactly the same thing (a cut & paste response).

I can't say enough nice things about this company; very flexible, you area a statutory employee. That means that they pay the employer portion of your SS. Great on time pay, tons of work. Do your lines and you are left alone! Expect to be responsible though. Pay for your phone; rent a Lanier or a C-phone if you don't have one; BayScribe platform. Anything that is a bit of an inconvenience is more than made up for. You will know to the minute how much you will make and how many lines you have typed. Check it out!
I talked to them today. They want 3 years in a hospital or 5 years combination sm
hospital and at home or clinic and at home. For radiology, they want 3 years full time radiology. I thought they were very nice and I have a few friends that work for them and are happy. The pay seems average to high for what I am seeing now. I think they are 0.08 per line or 1.08 for radiology. Beats what I will have with the new MQ program.

I worked on site for many years. I've been doing this for 10 years... sm
I've worked on site, at home, for small MTSOs, for nationals, for hospitals. I've been paid per line, per minute, and per hour. I've been an MT and a QA. I have ALWAYS worked weekends and ALWAYS worked nights for the shift differential because MTs can't survive on 6 or 7 cents a line. At least I can't and I type 105 wpm.
I've BEEN dedicated from day 1, sister, so you are barking up the wrong tree.
15,000 lines per pay period. 8 years with KS, 6 years on this account! nm
Not going anywhere else!
30 years - this WAS my career. The last few years you guys have ruined it.
You work 9-5? Big deal. I work more than you do. I bet I work harder too. Treat US with respect, lady!
Don't talk to us like that and don't expect us to kiss your feet. Kiss ours for a change!
See if you'll be producing more after 30 years of MT'ing and at 50+ years old.
I don't think so. My income increased every year also, until I reached age 50 and 30 years of MT'g, been downhill ever since.
It wasn't tough 5 years ago. Or 10 years ago, yet
How to you spell
G-R-E-E-D ???
All the shifty, dishonest, greedy pigs in this country belong in JAIL.
Did MTfor 10 years; QA for 2 years and now
doing editing of speech/voice recognition. I find all three to be very different. MT you start with a blank page or a template, QA you have the whole document and you need to give a good quick read and check for correct name, MRN, formatting, and all blanks, etc., and if you know the MT you do not necessarily need to give the whole document voice to typed - editing is a whole 'nother thing. From what I have seen so far - you have a document and you cannot count on anything being correct - you need to change almost everything in some cases - which is more difficult than a blank sheet as there is a lot of deleting and it is confusing. It can be helpful because some of the medical words are in there and some of the drugs can be correct - and although I have found easier on the wrists some days - still very, very difficult. You must match exactly voice to type because you cannot count on anything to be correct - JMHO
I think it just boils down to years and years of
If you kick a dog often enough, it's going to not only turn on you, but other dogs as well. Even though I made more money as an in-house MT, our managers were the worst. All greedy, self-serving women who lied, cheated, and made their way up the management ladder by stepping on those of us who worked under them. They created hostility, distrust and ill will in the office by pitting MT against MT (I suppose they figured it would keep the MT's from turning on THEM!), and the suspicion it bred created a hostile workplace like no other. I finally couldn't take it anymore and quit to work at home, for less than half the money. I'm lucky - I have an employer that at least treats me well, even though the pay stinks. But from what I've read here, that isn't the norm at all. So it's little wonder so many at-home MT's are ready to chew someone's head off. They're tired of being lied-to, cheated on line counts, disrespected, and at the same time expected to produce more and more work, with little to no mistakes. So it's little wonder we're all a mite cranky.
Some of us have been at MDI for years and years. Why should we have to start all the way at the bot

happy here
Positive experience for me. Two years later, still happy, still busy, still meeting 300+ lines an hour. To each his own... guess it's jump on Diskriter is crap band wagon again day. On any given day, one company or another is being ripped a new one on these sites.
Probably one of the best. I'm happy there.

Happy there......
I am very, very happy at OSi. I left a company where I had been a IC for over 8 years and went with OSi as an employee. I have had no regrets. I think some people say QA is snooty because they expect a job to be done right and often times it isn't. We have access to all reports typed on our accounts and to tell you the truth, it's amazing how some of these MTs got hired.
I love the platform, pay is always on time and often incentives create huge paychecks. They are very professional and very flexible. No cons as far as I can see.
That's cause we are happy!!
Why do you want to bash anyway, let's talk about good things
I am happy too
There are some that still like Transcend. i understand that others have valid complaints, but not everyone there experiences the same issues. Some of us are really telling the truth when they say they are happy.
Happy for you.
I hope you like your new job. I have been contemplating applying with them myself but worried about their flexibility.
YAY!!! I am so happy for you. Out of (sm)
all the places I have worked, they really are the best!! For many, many reasons!!
Yep and happy about it!
Yes I make 1 cent less than what FOCUS would hire me on for at their top pay. In exchange I get to work with an amazing company who treats me with respect, knows who i am, who my children are, listens to what i have to say and so much more. It is worth the cent to work for a great company.
Happy to Mad?
so have you changed your attitude about MQ? this is exactly what MQ doesn't want to happen -- MTs being able to find out what is going on in different offices, wage-wise and otherwise.
ARE YOU HAPPY THERE?
Can you be hired on as SE?
Happy.....
Sweetheart, you have no business releasing your venom on me. You are one with the mental health issue. If you were indeed a "Happy OSI'er," you would not care what anyone else thinks or says about that company.
The fact that you can get enraged so easily when other people express opinions contrary to your own tells me that you are indeed in need of a little Zoloft, Xanax, or maybe just a good dose of reality. The rest of the world doesn't have to agree with you about anything. It does not make us dysfunctional, depressed, unhappy, or stupid. It just means we see things differently.
You're in for a rough ride in life if you are get so upset about others' opinions.
very happy
Yes Cbay is still around and going strong, more work than I can handle lately. They do hire US MTs. Everyone knocks them for sending work overseas but what company doesn't these days? I am very happy with them and pay is on time every 2 weeks! They pay my bills so I really wouldn't care if they sent the work to the moon!
Is anyone happy...
Please leave some info on this board if you are happy working for OSI. There is a lot of negative, but it may be some sour grapes too. I would like to hear some good input about the company. Thanks.
With OSi for about 3 yrs. Very happy now with
It is great working with true medical transcription professionals.
OSi is good for a laugh, though!
I am very happy with OSi
You will read a lot of negativity, but this is something that you will have to decide on your own. I am very happy there. Sure, they aren't perfect, but no company is. Let me know if you want more information.
