What bothers me is hiring new MTs

for internet accounts (the ad running) while others who have been there are mostly on dial-up accounts waiting for them to transition I suppose.  That doesn't make sense.  If they are taking on new accounts, give them to the people already working there.


I have to say this is the best company I have ever worked for and I will never leave there but every time I get a second job the work picks up and then when I let the other account(s) go the work slows down so I just can't seem to get on board with them solely or figure out how to balance things.  Other than work slowing down and being low at times (and seemingly cherry picking unbelievably which I've never seen before here honestly but which I am seeing lately - unless it is a system issue with work popping up that wasn't there or getting reports that were seemingly skipped) I still think the company on a whole is heading in an even better direction with the things they are implementing and it is already the best around save for the problems lately.

Surveillance is just the way things are now. Technology always has a downside, and this is one of them. Still, who would want to go back to the days of no Internet, no computers, no ATM cards, no eBay, no debit cards, no pay-at-the-pump gas stations, no Google (and UGH! having to trudge into town to the library every time you need information). The list is endless.

It's your attitude that bothers me. I have just as much experience as you do and I also
am much in demand, yet I do not happen to carry the attitude you have. This profession has enough prima donnas.
It bothers me because the mistakes I hear about

are stupid mistakes, like typing cereal instead of serial, or misspelling a doctor's name when we have a doctor's list, etc.   This is carelessness that could potentiall cause the account to be lost.  All the ones I've heard about were mistakes I know I wasn't making and it bothers me that I have no control over it and that 1 or 2 people who produce sloppy work jeopardize the account.   I haven't really had a doctor do a correction in an ugly way, but then again I'm not sensitive to them that much because I know I'm not the one doing these.  I'm not saying my work isn't being corrected, just that I have never head a correction dictated that I was guilty of.  


I also dislike it when the QA dept. sends out a stern e-mail to the entire company about stupid errors, when I know I wasn't making the errors.


If I'm signing my name to a document I want it perfect so I don't blame the doctors for going over the reports with a fine tooth comb.  The reports are a legal document and could also mean the difference in life or death of a patient if there are errors in the report.

It is true. But, what bothers me is the possibility
that I will again be given the run around in an MT job this year. This would be the third time, and I do not know if I am willing to go through that again! I know taking any job into the unknown is a risk, maybe I am not prepared for any risk at this time in my job. Maybe it is not just the posts here, but the fact that it is a bad time to try again. Bird in hand worth 2 in bush and all that.
What bothers me the most is making total fools out of us to sit and
wait on work.  That really gets to me.  I think we all discussed this before but to expect people to sit around and make no money waiting on work to keep everything on the second is absolutely bizzare and then complain when you dont get lines in.  Well, wheres the work.

I dont answer the mass emails she sends out. What bothers me is we are not anywhere
near out of TAT and she just then sends out these mass emails and everyone piles on and runs the account out.  Then when you get a few more reports she does it again.  It just keeps going on like that.  I have no idea what the problem is.  I dont acknowledge the emails at all I just cant get a grip on why someone would function like that.  It is almost like she isnt happy until she runs the account out and then expect all the ICs which we are to sit around until it comes back in and then be at her beck and call.  It seems to be getting worse and worse lately with this.  She has taken the word control to extremes especially with ICs.  She expects you to let her know if you are going to move your butt of your computer for a half hour.  I just dont get it but it gets extremely old I must say.
Maybe MQ is over hiring now in preparation for something. Must be some reason they keep hiring when
some people have not work.

Since I have been hiring for Keystrokes, I have ALWAYS followed thru with providing the proper paperwork to the office, and the AA gets the paperwork out the same day within hours of when I submit the new hire information, and then when the signed paperwork is not received usually we give someone about 72 hours, which on many occasions, people do not fax the paperwork back to the office, the AA in turns either sends out a FU e-mail asking where the paperwork is and/or I will call and send out an e-mail if there is an issue. I HAVE NEVER let anyone SLIP thru the Cracks with Keystrokes after I have offered them a position. Please get your facts straight before you post on here and use my name!

I have a note on the resume the date of hire, and the date the e-mail was sent to the office, and also have a new hire folder, where I put the e-mail that the office sends to me that the paperwork has been returned and faxed back, to the office. Keystrokes does FU on hiring of all new hires, so who ever is posting that needs to contact me and allow me to find out what the problem is so I can find a solution.

They said they passed me up because someone else wanted a full-time position, and I only wanted a part-time position. Then I had to contact them, which took 3 weeks to get a response. If I did well on the test and they need help, then why not hire me? What a waste of my time.

All of the smart MTs leave and only the extreme desperate stay. They do SUK.

and just as hard to get ahold of when you are working there.  lol.  Try e-mailing the recruiter.  Thats your best bet. 
I just saw an ad where they are hiring for
someone to go overseas to train/teach classes. Wondering what's up with that. If it's true, kind of bold of them to advertise on an MT job site to promote taking American jobs away. Guess it all comes down to the almighty buck and how these companies continue to screw US MTs over.

Who's Hiring for ONC?

Does anyone have any experience with any of the companies hiring for ONC now?  Positive experience with the companies and the accounts, or negative? Which companies would you recommend for ONC?  TIA.

I cannot understand why they do not understand this.  I hope you have another job.  One problem they have...on one account, they had overseas MTs doing the typing, they allowed these people to go off of QA...next couple of weeks, the account was gone.  Nobody said it was gone, but there was never any work on the account and still isn't any. Zip activity.


Who, in their right mind, would allow overseas MTs to submit work directly to a facility?

Don't know if they are hiring PT . . .
I am working PT, and I chose to work a pretty fixed schedule. It's busy now and I have work, so I'm doing my hours. It's employee status, and I'm required to work one weekend a month and then rotate either T-giving or Christmas each year. If a holiday lands on one of your regularly scheduled days, you are required to work. I think this is all pretty much standard throughout the industry.

complaining that there are no good U.S. mts, available, and using it as an excuse for voice recognition and hiring off shore.


If you are good, and can prove it by testing and experience, they are always hiring.  Maybe not posting ads, but they are hiring.

employees, so they are in need of some help.  Hmmmm, very interesting.  They are not the first, and I bet they won't be the last.  This board is supposed to be informative, good or bad, so why worry what is being posted?  There would be no posts if everyone took everything up with the actual company they work for.  No one seems to have a problem when good things are posted, so why when there are bad things posted or a suspicion, someone says take it up with the company?  Just curious.

I think for many of their accts you need the unlimited LD. They also have some accts that do not require that. I will be out today, but if you e/m me, later i will try to send some contact info for you, to try again.
For those just hiring on, it might not be too bad for you right now. (sm)
Those of us that have been there fore a couple of years have had nothing but perks/benefits/money taken away from us on a regular basis.

If you hire on expecting no communication, reduced wages for ASR, only the challenging stuff that our ILPs don't want to do, working a combination of 2-20 different accounts on a daily basis, and plan on having perks and benefits reduced periodically you might just be happy there.

Don't forget to watch the videos, it is all part of the brain washing we get to make us think we are lucky.

Lots of us are leaving, but it is a big company and there are plenty of newbies or just newcomers who will hire on. They will take a learning curve, the customer will be unhappy with the constant training/mistakes that occur and more of them will leave. Of course new ones come on so you get, once again, to learn new client profiles.

Good luck. Perhaps whoever buys MQ next will do things differently. Then again, perhaps the income taxation system will be more fair and equal, Santa Claus will be real in the minds of children and pick up the tab for holiday gift giving the parents do in his name.

QT help wanted ad OMG! How funny is that?.  I heard they let all the good MTs go.  They offshore like there's no tomorrow and they are asking no offshore entities need apply?  Good luck to any sucker who applies for that position. Also heard that particular radiology software is so bad there's no way you can make any money  Hope you like empty promises, no benefits and Indian overloads for bosses.

email me with any specific questions, feel free. It is a smaller company, but we are so overloaded with work its not even funny due to new accounts. The only time I have been out of work is for a couple of hours here and there after holidays--just like anywhere else.

I've been there for a little over a year and am VERY happy with them. I've been an MT for almost 10 years and I have to say this is the best company I have ever worked for.

They only hire for accounts that need help so the accounts stay balanced right and not overstaffed. Some accounts will hire people who specifically just want to do ops. Some accounts need you to do a mix of everything, so it really depends on what account they are hiring for.
