What's a crock?

I simply stated my experience with TT. I have nothing to complain about, not even VR. I make the same money I was making before I started doing VR, although I prefer typing over editing. I have enough work. If you were out of work for months, had to work 6 days a week, 11-14 hours a day, you should have left and found another job. I would have.

What a crock.

Mr Nair clarified that the medical transcription work was moving from the US to India not because of any cost advantage but because of the growing shortage in the availability of medical transcription personnel in the US.

Oh that is the biggest bunch of **** I've ever heard.

Well, I can't say it is or is not a crock but s/m

if these posters actually read the email (which I didn't bother to do after I got the one saying to ignore it,) then I seriously doubt they are disgruntled ex-employees.  For myself, I'm taking a wait and see approach.  I don't have insurance through TT so if that's all it's about, it shouldn't affect me personally.  I also have a plan B (called retirement) so nothing really affects me.  When I read these boards (not just about TT), my heart does go out to MTs who have to make a living.  It isn't just the MT companies, it's ALL industries.  My husband is a retired truck driver (Teamster) with over $3000 in retirement checks each month plus insurance.  Even that isn't safe.  The future retiring Teamsters have seen their retirement age raised to the point they will most likely be lucky if their eyesight is still good enough for them to drive a truck!  Benefits for future retirees have been cut (less money, plus $1100 per month for insurance).  So we sit here waiting to see how long it will be before they cut benefits for current retirees.  THIS COUNTRY IS IN A MELL OF A HESS and we have our politicians to thank.

What a Crock
Michelle wrote that because she is a family member of the owner, so wouldn't say good things about a company! LOL
What a CROCK!

I was out of work for MONTHS.  Working 6 days a week, 11, 12, 13, 14 hours a day trying to get a decent paycheck.  And that VR crap, trying to convince us to take YET ANOTHER cut in pay to line their pockets.  OK, yeah, add me to the lawsuit.  Boy, for $294.50, you must feel great, TT, at filing this lawsuit against one of your workers for expressing their opinion.  $294.50...  I suspect that you have lost TEN, 100, 1000 TIMES THAT AMOUNT in goodwill in the MT world.

What nonsense.  Develop a thicker skin and buck up.  There is a reason people post on here their opinions about what is going on at TT:  Because you tell us NOTHING!!!!!

Now, while we are at it, BITE ME!

This whole conversation is a crock
set up by disgruntled exemployees no doubt. TT does something good to lower insurance prices and you have to counteract that good move with this rumor. If you work for TT it says in the employee handbook NO RUMORS. Get that? Now the truth from where I see it: TT went to this company to get better insurance at a lower price, which is what you were wanting months ago when you started other rumors instead of waiting. This company is stricter when they act as umbrella for little companies in that they happen to do background checks. Big deal. You have something to hide? I don't care. I have worked for another company which did the exact same thing, and I had to fill out paperwork there. They did it for the same reason, because struggling medium sized companies need to get under an umbrella of many companies to get their employees good rates. So, go ahead, quit. More work for me. And go ahead, don't apply and listen to these rumors. If you would rather hear rumors on a board from strangers, rather than actually calling the company and asking them, then you need to think about your career. I am not an MTSO or management. I have been in the biz a long time. And the packets BTW were not finalized sent out in the mail yet, they were an e mail, and will be corrected ASAP. Maybe there were time constraints on the clerk at the new company so they could get you in quickly for the lower rate. Brother. This board is pathetic. It feeds on rumors rather than encouraging good practices like doublechecking details or using common sense. What a crock this whole conversation is IMHO.
8 cpl for standard and 3 cpl for VR - that's a crock!
There is little to no standard typing for which you can make 8 cpl. It is 90/10 in favor of VR. If you buy into the slick sales job the VR snake oil vendors put forth and can actually double your output per hour, you are making 6 cpl. What a joke!
Now that's the biggest crock I have heard yet!
The only reason anyone works is for money. If they have money, they usually don't work. Nobody is doing this for charity or putting themselves last for a lousy recruting job? Please! LOL!
Oh please, that's a crock. I have savings and husband, but I still
xx
What a crock that is and I question the legality of it. nm
