Well then Keystrokes is getting some of MQ's account then. Won't be midsized for long.

there is a midsized company with 900 lines a day
lines because people end up doing only the minimum, so they over staff...then no one has enuf to do and no one is happy. bad management in my opinion. Two employees who will consistently do 1500 lpd each is less expensive to the employer than 3 who do 900 each.
How long has your account been on it?
Mine was being moved over to it, and it was awful for many, many months. Once established, if ever, it would probably be okay to work on. I had to fight for 500 lines a day, and there were days I had to fight for 50 while on auto pilot.
How long does it take Keystrokes to
TIA
How long have you been with Keystrokes and why are you looking for another job? sm
I was just re-hired there and consider myself lucky. Did something happen to you or do you have a bad account or team lead?
Regarding Keystrokes, a little long...sm
First and foremost, I am NOT in management with Keystrokes. I am simply a MT who was recently hired. Because I am not a well person and suffer from a painful medical condition and other underlying conditions, I was unable to start working my assigned schedule. I explained this to my supervisors. I just knew that because I had such the awful flare of this autoimmune disorder, they would not be able to hold this position for me. Well, I explained everything to my supervisors, account managers, etc....and guess what.....I still have my job, it may not be as a full time employee, but they understood and still giving me a chance and offered me options of working.
I had read for so long some of the negative thihgs about this company and the people, I will admit, those posts made me veer away from applying with them. Some companies will NOT even take on an MT who suffers from a condition such as mine.
I admit, I did have bad experiences in the past with a few companies, but I would never really post about them, I would just take it as a lesson learned.
I know that a lot of us have had these bad experiences, but not all companies are the same. This place is working with me, they are giving me time to recuperate and get better and my job is still there for me. From the people I have been dealing with, they were nothing but nice to me, even the owner.
I just felt I had to post this. Of course, not everyone will agree with me about the company, but I don't expect that. I just felt I needed to post this to let people know that many things you read, do not always hold the full truth.
Thanks for reading...(scuse the typos)
How long have you been there? big account? Call them and ask what's up?!? nm

Keystrokes newbies....how long
did it take to get started once hired?
MedScribe and Keystrokes -- How long does it
Thank you.
How long does Keystrokes take to contact?
I filled out the online application and also e-mailed my resume yesterday. I wasn't expecting anything quick, but I would like to have an estimate on how long it takes to hear back. Do they call or e-mail, and do they have testing online? Thanks for any info.

Does anyone know how long it takes before you qualify for insurance at Keystrokes? nm

the account I'm going to be on with Keystrokes...sm
will pay by the line at 8.5 cpl. I will need to make 1200 lines/day. Good luck to me huh?
Keystrokes ER account
Anyone out there who works on a newer ER account that is on ExText platform? At first we were on just one site and after we caught that up, we were placed on another site and told they were going to change us each week between the two. After about 3 weeks, the hospital sent KS an e-mail stating they did not have enough work for all of us and that a meeting would be held on Monday to find out what they were going to do. It wasn't until Monday afternoon that we were told we could work again. Is this a normal thing to happen for KS? By the way, we were never switched over to the first site which is a great account but have been left on the second site, which is not a great account. Do any of you know if this account is only an overflow account? It sure seems like that to me. Also do any of you have problems understanding some of the dictators, or is it just me? I would love to hear from any and all who would care to share their opinion about this. Thank you.
Keystrokes does. I am on an ortho account that is sm
busy, consistent and very well run. I know that they are getting more of the centers with this group. I have been there since February and plan on staying until I retire.
Keystrokes -ortho account
Does anyone have any info on Keystrokes ortho accounts? Have you worked on them or tested with them for an ortho position? What is the testing like? Thanks!
What platform is Keystrokes ER account?

Keystrokes Docuscribe Account
Did anyone out there get hired a few weeks ago by KS for a new account that is on the Docuscribe platform (the same one that MQ uses)? If so, how do you like that platform and how is the account? I am very curious about this because it stated in the ad that they will be putting a lot of new accounts on that platform in the coming year. Please share your experience thus far. Thanks a bunch.
Keystrokes New Docuscribe Account
I asked this question last week and would like to check regarding if transcriptionists who were hired for this account feel any better about it yet? Last week there were a lot of negative posts stating too many ESL dictators that were very difficult and they were not able to produce a good line count. Has it improved any for you? Also, how do you like the Docuscribe platform?
may be good now, wait until they Global your account, too. I left there long ago, happy I did. nm
.
I am on an internet account for Keystrokes. It is ortho but my
friend is on a clinic account that is internet for them.
Add Keystrokes to the list. I have an account with ExText. nm

how is PT account with Keystrokes? Thinking of applying..sm
I have many years of ortho, PT, and PM&R experience. Just curious in regard to KS's PT accounts... the number of dictators you are assigned and length of reports..are primary accounts available?? Thanks for any information.
Keystrokes occupational health account.
Anybody currently working on this account? Care to share your thoughts... Are there lots of ESLs? Any other comments are appreciated.
Keystrokes does not overhire. There has been so much work on my account sm
that they are begging for overtime (and paying 1-1/2 times normal rate for it which is better than other companies that I have worked for!). One thing that no one can say about Keystrokes is that they overhire. They make sure we all have enough work before hiring more on an account. Yes, I have talked the owner about it so I got that information direct.
Also, I think the above poster is right. I think Becky is one of the owner's right-hand persons, her and Karen both. They are both very helpful, as is Jen who answers the phones and a few others.
They could get rid of the IS manager and a lot of us would have a party. She is horrible to deal with but I think is related to Lee or Jeff because she has been there a long time!
Does anyone know if Keystrokes has a neurology account? I just wandered about this.
Thanks
I am on a Lanier by the line rad account with Keystrokes. sm
I love the account and using a Lanier, even though I know it is old-fashioned. I also have an account with them that is by the line but uses a wav pedal, and even though I am on that account less often, it has a lot of work.
am on a Lanier by the line rad account with Keystrokes. sm
really? by the line?? is it more than 6.5? i may have to apply with them
I work on a Meditech account (not with Keystrokes)
and they have also prohibited cutting and pasting. Just because it looks okay on your screen doesn't mean it comes out okay on their end, I guess.
I work on an ortho account. Keystrokes is just wonderful! They will help you in every way possible
and seem to really care about each person. They have been very good to me and I am very thankful to have a job with such a great company!
Keystrokes just got an account with DocQScribe that starts in a few weeks. sm
I am set to apply there as the company I work for lost it to them. My supervisor was upset because she really tried to fix it but her boss did not care. So I am going to try to follow the account to keystrokes.
Keystrokes--Ortho account IC status. Anyone know what the pay is?? Thinking of applying. Thanks
nm
I just started with Keystrokes full time and am on a Meditech account. sm
I would not call it my favorite platform by any means -- I think it is rather slow and cumbersome -- but with the addition of ShortHand and getting used to how things are done, I am picking up speed and hope to be at my normal level soon. One of the pluses to Meditech is that you can access the patient's chart and see other reports dictated, plus lab reports, x-rays, etc.
No problem :) No matter how long, it is too long for me - I am broke the day after payday. Kids wi
do that to you!
I know that they have worked very hard to make sure that checks are never late and I can say that in the past two years, I have had one problem (2 days late) and in the past 18 months, they have all been on payday and perfect.
I know that there are a lot of hard feelings in MT in general. I also know firsthand (and I am not mgmt) how hard KS has worked to get things going good.
I would not want to walk in an MTSO's shoes for any amount of money, but that's just me. I like to finish my work for the day, forget about work when not working and get paid on payday. I never want the other things that go with mgmt or owning a company of any kind :)
They definitely rip you off with your line count. Figured this out long ago and quit long ago

What really sucks is that I looked for a LONG, long time -sm
before joining DRC - wanted a highly reputable, not-too-big co. that was LOCAL, and that treated its MTs humanely. I'm very happy with DRC & had planned to stay with them permanently.
That account in Texas was not a MQ account. They did not use DQS on that account until KS started.
They are moving 3 other accounts to DQS between now and January 1st. I asked. The MQ accounts they have gotten in the past did not go to DQS. I followed my old account, which is how I know, and it was Meditech. The account is still run by KS and is a big account too.
Long, long history of not paying...and
similar posts have been made here in the past few months. Everyone thinks they will be different, and then they end up coming back here to warn others that they don't pay.
Did Keystrokes sell to Transcend? I thought Keystrokes was buying up companies sm
but I heard from another service owner that they sold out to Transcend. Anyone know if that happened?
Repeatedly told another new account would come soon, but it never did. In fact, our slow account is.
everyone else's backup account. What a disorganized mess.
keystrokes ad..can someone tell keystrokes their banner ad needs a hyphen...quality-minded

Did Keystrokes sell to Transcend? I thought Keystrokes was buying sm
small companies but another service owner told me that she heard that Keystrokes sold to Transcend. Is this true?
I posted this down below but meant to post it as a new thread. Before I apply with them, I would like to know as I left Transcend a few months ago and do NOT want to get back into that mess.
Then when we MT's are **thrown on** an account because of lack of work on our account
What is so hard to understand about that?
Then we have that account info filed away in a folder in our Outlook Express by name of account and can look at past emails sent out regarding that account. Not fun to be tossed on an account that you have never seen NOR ever received an email on. Sounds like business to me.
You are wrong about the account. KS dumped the account for several reasons. sm
It happened quickly and was unexpected but it was really for the best. Keystrokes does not string people along or lie to you. After being with MQ for too long, I am happy there, although it is not for everyone.
I really would give them a call as the other poster suggested. That whole situation was a nightmare for everyone including management but the account pulled a fast one on them.
I have the facts on this because I have a good friend at the hospital and what she told me matched what my manager did.
I know that they are trying to give more when so many companies are giving less and taking away more.
Not only that, but I would MUCH rather work for Keystrokes than Spheris as Keystrokes doesn't
My account has lots of work..ask for another account/nm
**
The account I am on only requires 1200 lpd. Maybe it is that particular account. Ask them if they
have a lower one. Doesn't hurt to ask. I do anywhere between 1200 and 1800 lpd. Sometimes it feels impossible to do 1200, sometimes the 1800 is quick. Depends on the doctors and the day for me. I do average 15,000 per pay period though, which is 1500 a day. Not impossible by any means, and I never go over 40 hours a week. Most weeks, I am closer to 35 hours with lunch breaks and life.
I think it depends on the account. I have one account that pays sm
$2.25 for specials and one that pays $3.50. I was on one previously that did not pay them different at all, but they were all short and mostly PICC line placements.
I worked for a hospital that went to KS and they were not charging extra for the specials. I know what they charged per report, and there was no way they were getting rich on the difference after taxes and all that. I was suprised. I was in on the bid review and the average to charge was between $1.75 and $2.75 per report or 0.13 and 0.15 per line. There were 15 companies that bid on the account, and all were within those ranges.
I went to KS about 6 months after the hospital outsourced to them. When we were displaced, I accepted a different job in the hospital and hated it.
That is not true. It varies from account to account. I have
several internet accounts and on some you do have to input the patient information.
I know the account. It is "hybrid" account that is a version of sm
Meditech that is a cross between Meditech Magic and Client, more like Client than Magic. I have been on it since October now do 1500 lines a day; it took me a week to get up to speed but they really helped me. I only know which one because my lead told me that they are adding 10 people to it because KS is getting the whole thing now, only doing 1/2 before this. I love working for Keystrokes :)
Account wen to speech from almost the beginning of the account --
Don't like ExSpeech at all. Very bulky and cumbersome. Much better editing programs. I prefer to straight transcribe on ExText. Pay drops horrendously. But wave of the future for MT's.
The account I am on is internet only. I think it depends on the account. nm
