Knocked down a peg!--sm
Wow! I sure had the wind knocked out of my sails yesterday! I read an ad that I found intriguing and I was curious that perhaps there was something out there better than what I've had for the last 3 years. So, I applied and tested. When I heard back from this nat'l company, they told me they would be looking at other people. When I inquired as to my lack of qualifications, they stated I needed to work on my typing skills! Okay, I'll admit, I only have 27+ years MT experience in acute care, about 8 months experience as an editor, and a pathetic QA score of 99.2% (All this, but I cannot type worth a darn!!). Yes, I'll admit, I considered myself a 'shoe-in' and am suffering such a blow to my ego that I believe I will just go back to my little corner and be thrilled to death I have a job, slightly low pay but it seems like a million bucks now!
