I don't think it will be too bad for most people, but I am a part-time SE and will now have to submit a schedule (which is fine), but I'm not sure what happens when there is no work during your scheduled hours (which happens almost daily on my main account). Plus my office is closing in Chicago (see posts below) and worried about that. I'm afraid my account might be lost (not on DQS yet). I have another full time job, so I only have so many hours in the day to commit to MQ and if there is no work, I'm out of luck.
One thing that made me mad in the packet was that if you chose to stay on with MQ, you have to go to a MQ office or Manpower office in your state to complete paperwork to be hired (I-9). The nearest Manpower office is an hour and a half away -- don't think so --- this is just to verify your identity, i.e. SS card and driver's license.
Otherwise, I think there are certainly benefits to being an employee. Maybe with everyone having set schedules the problems with running out of work will get better, but I think it's just too much change for me.
