Have a main and secondary and almost always have work, but.. sometimes after OT has been offered (like this morning) I have nada. Think I need to be assigned a third account or be put on as a helper somewhere. I suppose I ask my team manager, are we allowed to request an account that looks busy, must it be an account in her Book of Business like with MQ. Any info before I make the call would be appreciated.

I have 5 accounts with Webmedx. I am always running out of work on the weekends because like you said they call for OT and then there is nothing left for us who do work the weekends to type while everyone else is getting more money for OT. Not very fair. Like the other MT said beware of what you wish for. different accounts with different account specifics is sometimes more trouble than it is worth. Haven't had a full paycheck for quite awhile.
I was out a couple of minutes, mostly getting secondary and tertiary accounts. (sm)
I know when I hired on I was excited I could get days so easily, maybe we are just too many on one shift.
I agree, we need our own board where we can chat without being chastised for monopolizing the board.
I think the next time I run out I am switching to my part time job and trying to get back in here this evening.
Webmedx secondary accounts
If you take on a secondary account, do you bounce back and forth between your primary and secondary based on turn-around times, or do you get work from your secondary only if there's no work on your primary? I'm pretty sure it's the former, but just want to be sure. TIA.

Holy Cow -- all 3 of my accounts have work. One even OT. The secondary (sm)
one had been particularly low for weeks now and today there is a massive quantity. I wonder if maybe that hospital was trying out another service and just sending us a small amount. Whatever the reason, the work, at least for now has picked up greatly.
We are having KFC for supper so I can get in there and get a few of those OT lines while they last.
Hope everyone else is having good luck with their accounts also.

Not only do they switch you on accounts, the accounts they start you on are so absolutely, horribly bad -- ESL docs in masses and very, very hard to transcribe - that taking the gas pipe seems a much gentler form of agony! $$$ are not to found with Webheadaches!
Webmedx - anyone know when new accounts are starting up? (sm)
I know we have been hiring in anticipation and probably some of the new employees are working on current accounts until everything is on line. At least this has what I have ran into at other companies. They have to be trained and ready and I anticipated our backlogs might be a little low as we share. Today I have been out of work most of the morning which is EXTREMELY RARE, however it is a perfect day to play outside so I will go out and pot up some things and wait till the work load builds up a little more.
Sorry if this kind of rambled on. Welcome to new employees, I am certainly not complaining or accusing them of taking work away from the rest of us. Just wondering when the new accounts are coming on and if we will be given opportunity to switch or try out the new ones.

Webmedx has difficult accounts. High ESL.
More power to them if they've developed a program that can handle those high-ESL nightmares. They have the toughest accounts I've seen in 25 years of transcribing. Yeeeeuck! Would hate to be doing VR on those!
I have a friend who works there in management. I will have to check with her to see what she has to say.

I know they recently were hiring and now the backload summary numbers are down on a lot of accounts (mine included). I am hoping they just hired in anticipation of new account and are training these people on the current accounts and things will improve after the new accounts come on. Am I dreaming?
I understand no company wants to pay OT and it is a balancing act to get the correct number of MTs on any given account. I just don't think they were hiring to overhire. They seem far too nice for that.

That's news to me. Have worked on most all in the past 2 years and ALL are on VR. And they don't tell their clients or the clients would not HOLD CONVERSATIONS WITH THE VR, talk about how something sounds funny, give editing information, ask how we are today...etc LOL

I am trying to decide which company to apply with. I also need flexiblility. I can work full-time hours but not the same shift every day and I know some companies want a set schedule every day. I work a lot of weekends.
There's plenty of work at Webmedx - my group of accounts is running OT. SM

Secondary account
When I first started, I was put on a GREAT ER account that I love, but since it is only ER reports, they wanted to give me a secondary account in case the workload ever gets low on that account. I didn't even have to ask for a backup account. They gave it to me a day or two after I started because they didn't want me to ever run out of work. I got a HUGE hospital account as a backup and never run out of work. They are bot on the ExText platform and I love them both.

I do not work my secondary if it is also low (sm)
which it has been. I know we're told to work secondary if primary is low, but I don't think it's right for me to take away from somebody else's primary account if it's scraping the bottom of the barrel too. I guess that's why I'm spending 12 hours at my computer a day to get my line count.
A few years ago my secondary went to another company and (sm)
evidently some of the office people as well, they in turn gave the new company the names and phone numbers of us who had worked the account and the new company actually called many of us to solicit us as employees. I felt it would have been okay for me to switch, since I had had no control over the account coming or going, but I didn't feel it was right for some of the higher ups to be involved in soliciting us for the new company. If anyone was in the wrong, they were. They shouldn't have shared records and personnel information like that from one company to the other IMO.

I have also repeatedly asked for a secondary account. I am told each time, we will get you trained on one of these new accounts when they come aboard. Well, the new account comes on board, my account gets some work and I never get trained! Also, my supe loves to posts OT for my primary all the time, and seems soo shocked when the end of the week comes and our account is totally out of work!! DUH!! Do not post OT soo soon or for so long! I have given this company a try for now 9 months. I'm getting sick of this crap!

stat every blessed report they do, so I always get those immediately. It is TAT, but your STM can explain it in more detail.
I have been trying to be patient but have been working on my secondary account so much lately, I am
starting to think it's my primary. Been in the business a long time and understand slow times, but this has been a chronic problem for many months, so I understand poster's point of view. Stick it out if you can, if not, there are lots of other companies out there, but remember, the grass is always greener on the other side and you may be sorry you jumped ship. Hopefully you can find somewhere that will make you happy and feel appreciated.

My secondary account has been slow for weeks
but they gave me another account, so I'm good. My primary account has also been pretty busy these past few weeks. I guess this is just a slow time of year.

...I don't know of anyone who could tell you which one was 40% ESL. That could apply to many accounts...
Are they losing accounts. Do most of their accounts stay for long period of time. I have
heard pros and cons about the quality of their work. I guess it is much cheaper than other companies can offer.
Because the girls that monitor the accounts in the office were told the accounts either go on DQS or
move on. All accounts to be with MQ must be on DQS and no more different platforms. ONE ONLY DQS. They can send more work overseas then.
MDI-FL but not all accounts. Only the internet-based ones. C-phone accounts are fine.
So, yes, let me clarify before everyone gets in an uproar.. There is work IF you want to use a C-phone. IF you signed up for an account that is internet-based, you will be disappointed. Not enough work to go around. Just my personal preference.. I have no desire to do a dial-up C-phone account using my long distance.
Some do and have good accounts and fully loaded ESL accounts
Take a look at what is happening in India. For the first time, workers there have money to get themselves into debt by buying high priced items (cars for example). They now protest lower castes being allowed into universities at almost double the previous allowance. Wait until they are highly in debt, begin to feel entitled to a wage equal to that paid inthe US and then, try to form unions, get tossed out into the street and sit back with some Ben and Jerry ice cream and watch the economy collapse and all that dictation come back across the ocean. Timing is everything.
Find out which accounts they are hiring for. They have some ESL accounts that are extremely
difficult to do. I dont know how many accounts they have altogether but as I say, a few are very difficult and I actually dont have a problem with ESLs but these accounts are almost totally ESL. I dont do them anymore.
Well it sounds like no work happens a lot at DSG. How are the accounts as far as decent accounts
and their QA.

Different accounts have different platforms. Most accounts require sm
high speed but I am not sure if satellite is OK.
I don't think that they're hiring right now. I spoke with my lead on Thursday, who said they are focusing on making sure everyone has enough work and moving PTers to FT, eventually moving towards FT only with only weekends as PT. Not 100% sure when that is though.

at WMX are pretty easy in my opinion as well. I wish I had a better answer for you. Hang in there if you can. You have to do what is right for you.

MQ accounts
You are assuming that MQ has not lost any accounts. Yes the accounts were transferred with the transcriptionists, buy one of my accounts left and went to another service and yes, once an account goes up on the new platform, it is free game for everyone.
I believe they have two ER accounts - one is .09 and one is .10 -
the owner is wonderful to work for, also.

How many accounts do you have?
When you get 6 accounts, can work on any of them at any given time, sometimes all in 1 day, and still get less than 2% DC percentage, come back and tell me you're better than me. You're still wet behind the ears and probably don't even realize what a big can of worms you just opened.
Are the Rad accounts going VR?
