shift and weekend differential - sm
Not sure why YOU didn't get this differential, but I DID - no longer though. Just goes to show how many different pay brackets there are at Transcend. So, just because your ROM doesn't know about the pay cut doesn't mean it isn't coming. I got my call last week - some are only getting them now. I hope you don't get it, but forewarned is forearmed.
TransHealth also pays for production over minimum, and weekend differential. nm
MedWare pays shift and weekend differentials. nm

When I worked there you got weekend differential and even higher holiday differential
and neither were required and no pressure to work and usually there was not much work as the extra pay made the MTs come crawling out of the woodwork!
How about the weekend differential?
Does it bother anyone else that the new way they pay that seems to pretty much exclude everyone from getting it? Or at least so far I can't get it. They took me from a M-F shift and made me take a weekend day, which I complied with, thinking that at least I'd get the differential. Then two weeks later, they changed it to needing to work, and make your line counts, for those days. I don't know about all the other accounts, but my account usually just trickles in on weekends, and when all the transcriptionists get on there trying to make up lines or try to get the shift differential, there is no way that I am going to get my ever-harder-to-achieve line count. I'm looking at that green grass on the other side of the fence, and I've got to admit it looks pretty tasty.
Which companies pay weekend differential? nm

Does Transcend pay a weekend differential?
I was wondering. I just talked to the recruiter and forgot to ask. She mentioned a shift differential but I don't remember hearing about a weekend differential. TIA
shift differential
i have been asking about a shift differential for over 2 years now as i mainly work in the evenings. it's like everything else with them they are in no hurry when it's something that benefits the MT.
SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
Webmedx pays shift differentials :)
What about shift differential?
My company does require a time sheet, but I think it's partly so they can pay your actual shift differential.
Does Keystrokes pay more for later hours?
No shift differential, but.......
Their pay rate is a little higher than most companies, and it is really easy to get a good line count there. I do anywhere between 2000-3000 lines a shift, so I am very happy and find that I don't even need a shift differential to make great money.
What is the avg cpl of 3rd shift differential?...
...seems like when I did third shift before for an MTSO the cpl differential was 0.005 or something like that. Any info is most appreciated.
shift differential
I get 1 cent per line for 3rd shift.
shift differential
I think what the part about shift differential means that basically you do get one, but instead of it being some bonus tacked on it's automatically in your line rate, so maybe they'd offer you 8 cpl for the day shift but 8.5 for the night shift.
Not MDI, but where I work, no weekend differential, no holiday pay...
I HATE it. I've been looking for a job out of MT for a year - nothing. Your schedule includes one weekend day, and if a holiday falls on your regularly scheduled work day, TS - you get your normal line rate.
Which companies pay most for 3rd shift differential?
Need to make more per line. I'm going to the highest bidder. I have 27 years of medical transcription experience under my belt, and very quality oriented and produce 2000 lines per day. Any bidders?
shift differential calculations
Not hard at all, I work all 3 shifts at times, so when I start second shift, I total those before going into 3rd.
TransTech Shift Differential
Can anyone tell me if the shift differential is for PT or is it exclusively for FT? TIA.
I worked for them as an IC at 9 cpl with nice weekend differential - I don't think they have bene

second shift/weekend
I work second/third shift and one weekend day but I do not get a shift diff so the pay is the same either way. I am on SR and only make 0.06 a line. The shift diff would have helped out.
Plus shift and/or weekend differentials.

You could prob get a first shift, but not sure about the weekend day. sm
I think possibly you would have to work 1 weekend day. I am not 100% on that though. If you wanted to work 2nd shift, say 2-10 pm or 3-11 pm, you might get a M-F schedule.
4.5 with shift & weekend incentives

No more shift/weekend differentials?
I'd love to know how they justify that. They've turned this into your average restaurant job, except with less time on your feet.
So, before the suits show up, let me say that I don't blame you one bit for wanting out of this dead-ender BS. I'm exploring my options myself. Best of luck to you!
Companies that pay shift and weekend differentials..???
I work every weekend and also evenings. It takes a lot of sacrifice on my family life and I wondered if any companies out there really do pay a differential to make it worthwhile. Thanks
What is the shift diff for 2nd & 3rd shifts, weekend? Thanks!

Base rates with National incluidng shift differential. Smaller - base rate 11 cpl. nm

None, unless you work both weekend days on the night shift. nm

TransHealth just implemented an incentive plan, plus shift and weekend differentials. nm
Very good company. Incentive pay for production plus shift and weekend differentials. sm
Their platform is stable (proprietary, I've been on it for about a year and a half now). Pay is always on time. Good support staff. Their insurance changed this year. Plenty of work. They don't overhire on their accounts from what I can see. If anything, there is always plenty of work, which I like because I can hop on outside of my regular shift and get some more lines. Now that they pay extra for weekends, I like to pick up some extra hours then.
As long as Webmedx pays well for VR
accounts, I won't mind, but if they do like Transcend, I will have a real problem. I can't afford to make half the line rate I make transcribing doing VR. We'll see and hope for the best.
I know Webmedx pays $11/hour for 1 week.
I have seen in the past week other companies that pay, but I didn't pay attention to who they were. I found the info browsing the job boards.
Webmedx pays $11/hour for one week and then
pay 25% above line rate for 3 days to give you some time to build-up production.
Webmedx also pays 70% of your current rate. nm
.
Webmedx pays for half of the testing fee...sm
if you pass, which I think is very generous.
They also raise your line rate a quarter cpl when you become a CMT, which is not fantastic, but we all know any addition to your cpl can add up.
It's more than most companies offer.
Webmedx pays 8 hrs holiday pay (based on your LPH sm
production rate), plus whatever you transcribe for the day. Effectively, this is like double-time.
Webmedx pays very well for VR - probably the highest or close to it. nm
nm
Webmedx pays fairly well, not flexible, though.
They used to hire with a 12-hour window, but I have heard they don't do that anymore, just a straight 8 schedule. Good luck.
Does Webmedx radiology still pays everyone at 7.25 per line regardless of experience?

Webmedx pays 70% of your line rate. I make more on VR s/m
with them them straight typing, a lot more.
Webmedx pays 70% of your regular line rate. nm

She means Webmedx - which pays VR at 70% of your normal line rate. nm

Webmedx pays a flat training rate for 3 days. nm

A 3-day weekend every weekend? Wouldn't that be nice. Good luck with that!..nm

3rd shift radiology can be like that. Feast or famine. Same with 3rd shift sm
ER work. Sometimes the doctors are too busy to dictate, so they do it at the end. Why don't you talk to them and ask about a different shift?
Ya know, even if I spend time during my shift or after that shift
it is still MY time, expected by the company, and I am not getting paid for it regardless. I don't answer my phone while I am working, never did, never will. What other profession, while probably punching a clock, do folks work for free? If I worked in an office doing this, that time would be paid - say 15 minutes a day x 5 days a week at even $10/hour = $50 a month - and it is more time spent than that to deal with the email thing and the reminders and the changes in specifics and logging in and out of 3 different accounts when primary is out of work. GRRR.
I don't change jobs easily either, glad you are happy where you are - but producing 1400 lines of ACCURATE text will end my career soon (and probably yours also) and then what are we all to do? My goal is not to work more, work harder and longer hours to produce a salary I can live on.
