How in the world can you keep the account specs straight, they are changed all the time and by the way, ever ask the QA Manager about account specs? Her standard response "Send to QA" then you get a note from her telling too much is being sent to QA. GO FIGURE.
UMMMM
How in the world can you cheat on the MT Test? You surely cannot cheat on the typing part of the test and when I took the test, I was timed. That's a new one.. cheating. HMMMM. ACtually the recruiter BS the MTS. and I quote' Oh yes we are going to get shift differential, vacation pay, etc." The recruiters will tell you WHAT you want to hear to get you to sign on.. The person who lasted "a few months" was smarter than me... she got out.. time for me to get outta here also...
Ummmm....
And don't think it ends there, either.
Of COURSE they're gonna want to log keystrokes, for the same reason salespeople have their calls logged! If you're not screwing off, then why should it matter?
Ummmm, I think that you are
actually the boss at your local McDonald's. They are the ones with the bad work ethic. LOLOLOLOLOL. Do you want friends with that? LOLOLOL
Ummmm.....What?
Excuse me if I seem a little behind, but what did that mean? I didn't see any references that you are speaking of in the article I read....sorry.
Ummmm....what does a fax have to do with
that? What are you talking about? As I said, A FAX MACHINE IS NOT PERTINENT TO THE WORK OF AN MT. PERIOD.
Ummmm....
Let them know you're out of work???? Management would have to actually open an email or answer their phone. If they never read their emails or answer their phones, how would they know that one is out of work???
ummmm
there is a difference between offering a lead and standing behind a company. I NEVER stated I stood behind the company, as a matter of fact I stated I knew nothing about them! I said CHECK IT OUT. You really are an absolute moron and I am so done with you and your miserable space on this board. Yeah, SUE ME.
Ummmm... (sm)
Actually, I do enjoy keeping in touch with friends! To each his own.
Ummmm, no :)
LawyER
StenographER
BloggER
writER
TranscribER
Just cause MTs wanna get pissy and insist they are NOT machines (give me a break) doesn't change the truth- you transcribe- therefore you are a transcribER.
Ummmm....
Silly wabbit, it's TRIX not Tricks. Guess you haven't perused the cereal aisle lately.
And FYI, Transtech IS one of the good guys.
I suppose they're supposed to sit back and ignore the lies and the insinuations, laugh off at being accused of 'stealing' MTs lines, roll on the floor laughing when someone says they have no accounts of their own, only what Dictaphone cares to feed them, and just shrug it off when some derailed lunatic gets on the boards talking about how they're goingto turn them into the labor board 'just for fun' based on some antiquated email?
If TT taking a stand for themselves and protecting their reputation turns you off so much, why don't YOU set an example by, say, quittng and taking your skills elsewhere?
My, aren't you being a bit hypocritical and talking out of both sides of your mouth? They can, in your charming terminology, 'biteme,' yet you'll continue to collect a paycheck from them?
Yes, the world is full of ignorance and hypocrites, even the MT world.
I work for TT and I'm darned proud of the company. Ihey treat their MTs with respect and truly just let their MTs do their jobs. At least once a month I am asked if I am still happy with my account.
You, 'silly wabbit', think I'm going to throw away a fine job making a good living in defense of some strangers of these forums who obviously present erroneous information on a message board? Are you insane? I don't know GP. She could be the nicest little woman in the world, or she could be one step away from being institutionalizd for all I know. SHE IS A STRANGER ON THE INTERNET; I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HER PERSONALLY.
Now, TransTech I do know. They're that wonderful company that cares if I'm happy. They're that wonderful company from which I receive a paycheck to pay my bills.
Throw aside a great job to badmouth a company I happen to respect to defend strangers on an internet board?
Not a freaking chance.
UMMMM, you are really on my nerves. You are no
doubt wearing yourself out trying to make OSi look good and all the employees look bad. That is the OSi way! Think about all the good employees that you have lost due to the ongoing crap at OSi. They left for something better and they will not look back. Good luck to you. If you are still working for OSi I would imagine you cannot get a position anyplace else. More than likely you have really bad MT skills.
Ummmm...a life maybe???????
dd
Ummmm...and this is "unfair" how?
I have never even heard of this company, but I felt compelled to respond when I read this post. If a company is threatening MTs and not paying them, how is it unfair if people post their horrid experiences with this company? If I were in their situation, I would be on here doing the exact same thing so that other MTs can be forewarned of this company's business practices as well as how they treat employees. This company sounds like a complete fraud. As far as what someone else pointed out, you can contact your local law enforcement to report theft of services as this is exactly what they are doing. They are using your services and not paying you for them. Good luck!
Ummmm how much? I have been there OVER 3 years now....sm
and STILL love it....I am still waiting to hear WHY...try stating some examples instead of EMPTY reasons!!!
Ummmm let me guess-you think just because I like TT
I'm NOT the only source of income? Well, you have that wrong. I pay everything except the house and car insurance. House is paid off. DH pays those 2 bills.
I pay electric, cable, phone, and gas; life, disability, vision, and health insurance; groceries, and anything and everything else necessary to survive. I used to pay for oil, too, until we switched to coal. I always pay anything owed to the IRS, state, and local taxes if anything is due. If we need a new vehicle, we split the cost, like we did a couple months ago.
I don't have much left over, but I survive. All I need is a place to sleep, a place to work, a big garden, and DH by my side. I'm happy. It took a crisis of almost losing him to change my priorities, but now I wonder why I tried to keep up with the Jones' all those years. I could kick myself now, but that's all water under the bridge.
Ummmm...all your complaints are basically
While I understand your beefs with the industry, including dictators' quality, its been this way forever and ever. I've been MTing professionally for 25 years now, and my elders before me said things were always this way, back to when the doctors actually dictated in person with the MT taking notes on a steno pad. Every item is the same, including our pay rate! LOL. I find it a challenging career, but would never stay if I made anything near 15K. Despite all the challenges, shaky companies, etc., I still always minimum hit $35K. Not trying to brag, but have no idea how or why you would stick around for that poverty level income. Surely something else would better suit you, even for a short while til retirement? Here's wishing you a Happier New Year.
Ummmm, let's make that UNDESERVED bashing
I work there and at MDI-MD (until THIS revelation today, my MDI days are now DONE), and I'd NEVER say anything negative about TT. There's just nothing bad to say about them. I had actually taken an offer from TT when the MDI-MD work started to evaporate, and am I glad I did!
You and I know how great they are...we work there :-)
