There are lots more negatives than 1 or 2, starting with
they offshore.
Is anyone happy at OSI in Douglasville, GA? Lots of negatives in archives - SM
but I also remember reading some positive comments. I am a CMT with 30 years of experience, and I need employee status with good, affordable health insurance. I so wish I could fine some place where I can stay until I retire, or at least a long, long time!
Lots of boards on here. ..
Guess I'm confused. . .I asked this question on the Gab Board and someone suggested that I ask it on the Company Board.
Lots of recent info here, and definitely not all good. Search the boards. nm

What you read on the boards is not always
the gospel truth.
If clocking in/out isn't for you, that's fine. That doesn't mean it is a bad practice.
If I were a company accountable for employee hours, I'd make you clock in and out. Otherwise, you'd have to be an IC. Makes perfect sense to me.
You don't KNOW anything about Spheris if you haven't worked for them. You are only speculating with rumors.
If you would have read the boards here
you would have known that SPi is the WORST company you could have gone with.
Read the boards this week and it will tell you.
I'm not saying she has some valid points but MTSOs really need to be a little more refined. If she has things to say to someone say them privately not publicly. Most of the good MTs know all this and do not need an MTSO to blow off steam. I don't think the MTs need to be blowing off either but they are not an MTSO and the MTSO needs to preserve their image as professional.
Read the job boards and see what the companies
require as far as shift, equipment, etc. Weed out the ones you may not have equipment for or that you don't want to work their shift or do lots of ESLs. Read the archives on companies you might be interested in.
There is no comparison list. You just have to do your homework and investigate. Maybe a good company to you is one that offers insurance, but a good company to someone else is lots of work and low ESLs.
If you read the job boards they list
if IC or employee.
Post you resume on the various job boards, read the job
boards, Monster.com, CareerBuilders, etc. and respond to ads. Typically training positions are opened to in-house people first, or in the case of my company the QA people train/mentor new employees.
Read on several boards that Axolotl can be great
but that there are some killer accounts, while others are great, and same with QA, some fair and some brutal. I know I'd get stuck with both the killer account and killer QA. Not a good combo for happiness or making money, just to me.
I read the boards from this week and still can't figure it out. What or who am I missing?
Inquiring minds need to know. LOL.
Read the archives. Lots there, most of it not
good. Someone else asked about them this week so scroll through the board.
Read the archives, lots of info there.
Must be mistaken. Read lots, retain little. Happens with age. Sorry. nm
I have read lots of posts here and yours, without a doubt,
seems to me to be one of the worst I have seen. You have just told another human being they have nothing of importance to offer to anyone. I saw this and I hope you feel better by posting because I think by far it is the worst as far as putting someone down. For the 1 this was intended for, I hope you take it with a grain of salt and do not stake your life on a statement like this. I would, as my mother used to say, consider the source.
They offshore. Lots of posts about them if you'll read
the archives.
TransHealth...I've read lots of good and bad SM
about them, but am going to start with a very open mind. I am looking forward to it.
Chickadee
Read the archives. Lots of stuff recently. Not good.
Frequent turnover, offshore big time. Read the archives, lots of info on them. nm
Lots of promises, no follow through. Lots and lots of internal sm
problems. She is recruiting heavy right now as she has a CHANCE at getting a big account back. Even if they get it back, they'll blow it again from poor management.
If you'll read through past posts you'll find lots of
recent info. Why do you need menitoring if you already work as an MT. Unless you do clinic work most companies will require you to work at least one weekend day, at least initially.
MQ & MDI NEGATIVES
I'm just curious why both MDI-FL and MQ get so many negative posts on this board versus the rest of the companies out there? Is it because these two companies are so large so there are more employees to complain, or is it because they are really just very bad companies to work for?
I'm considering both companies, but see all of the posts on this board and am a little nervous about making a change.
MQ negatives
And ya know what? For all the so-called "perks" of working for MQ, what did MTs get MT week? Oh, yeah, a chapstick attached to a key ring. Who knows, next year Frank will pass out dog turds wrapped in pretty red ribbons, and there will still be MTs who say MQ was thoughtful, and we're all ungrateful. Oh, well.
wow, that's a lot of negatives...
in your paragraph itself for me. You could try, but I think I would try for something else in the meantime. That's a lot to be concerned about.
despite the heavy negatives
i vote MQ; tried a couple smaller companies -- but when you roll into the mix all the various factors, its my choice place to be. and furthermore, its my family's sole income and as a FT employee -- i'm not even worried about the lawsuits and all. The company is constantly improving. There are no signs of sell-out or collapse, only of strength.

I might add...no matter what negatives are on here TT is best out there bar none! nm

Any negatives to report on Mediscript out of FL?

reading below only 1 with negatives for offshoring...
either that is your company or you've been away a while.
I see so many negatives about KS acute care...sm
what about the RAD accounts? I read before that they had good RAD accounts, but do they actually train you or do you just jump right in and make your production? I am waiting for my interview from the recruiter who came back from a trip a couple of days ago. Any info appreciated!
Although I've seen many negatives on this board, I'm very
happy at JLG. Not having DD is the only negative I can think of.
I totally agree, your story is mine and lots, and lots of others, please
believe me when I say Keystrokes has been honest like we used to have in this profession. If I can help one Transcriptionist avoid what we have, this will all be worth it. I worked parttime for Keystrokes at the time I was fulltime with ____ and quit, 2 years later I begged them to take me back after once again my paycheck was cut in half, and they did with open arms. I don't mean to run down anyone but a lot of these transcription companies are getting obscenely rich while paying below minimum wage to transcriptionists, playing with dictation and after working for a couple of them you know who is honest and who is not. Sorry I came down so hard but the reality is there are single mothers out there that I bet cry themselves to sleep not able to give their children a decent life because it is easier to steal from us. When companies have millions of dollar to pay for other transcription companies, open transcription schools in other countries, ect., ect., you know there is a lot of money in it. That is all I am saying.
I don't think we work at the same place, but I have been working lots and lots of hours.
Very thankful to have a decent job.

Lots and lots of recent stuff in archives.
The many negatives? You're the only one I've seen bash it. Not every place is for everyone.

Negatives, no benefits, have to provide your own long distance, (sm)
internet platform for file transfer but audio is through phone line so you have to either rent or provide your own C-phone. Pros 24 hours to get lines done each day but do have to work 2 weekend days a month and provide a schedule 2 months in advance. Have heard several accounts are heavily loaded with ESLs. You work as statuatory, therefore, file your own taxes.
If you have experience & can get past the negatives, SmartMed uses dial-up & has an ad at top

Transcend's positive posts stay here cause negatives are deleted! That's the trend!
You cannot rely on honest referrals on this board, especially the archives. They are edited and deleted forever. Just as the negative posts on the Transcend forum "magically" disappear once discovered...Don't be so naive, unless you're the one "editing"!
Lots and Lots of info about them in the archives. nm

Can someone tell me some of the other job boards
Could someone tell me what some of the other job boards are? Thanks I've been with the same company a long time and never had to look before
look here and other job boards. sm.
I'm not sure if the sites can be mentioned here but if you search on this forum and do a search for MT jobs you'll have quite a few companies that are hiring. Good luck.
Lots lots, cuz I prefer
the OP/PR notes over any report......
OSI's management has been all over these boards
making up a different moniker for each happy, happy OSi employee they pretend to be throughout the day. Just the fact that they have nothing better to do than this and the fact that they're such immature deceptive babies just shows the lack of class that is running this company.
They show their lack of professionalism on here every day and they think we're all too stupid to notice.
