Sumthin wrong, either horrible accounts or horrible platform.  Can't be all new accounts cuz there are not that many hospitals and clinics in the world.

out of work and be working 10 hours a day every day of the week to get work.  Yes, I have multiple accounts and will run out of work in a few months.  They always assume they will be getting these big accounts and when they don't we are the ones who struggle.
Why is Transcend always hiring?

I never see any ads for Transcend any more.  Are they 100% offshore now and so Americans have no chance?

Transcend may be hiring,
but I have not zero work for days. That is why I came to this board - to look for a job.

They may hire to have bodies on hand, but they don't hire for work.

I don't know about sending more work to India, but that is how they can make more money for the suits, so maybe that is part of it.

Transcend is always hiring. Just because
they don't advertise here doesn't mean they offshore their work and aren't hiring.  They have new accounts all the time and I always have a ton of work available to me.

Isn't that a little strange?  I know we don't post account specifics and I have never seen a company do so before.  They mentioned the hospital name, town and state.

Could someone please tell me what to expect from time application submitted, testing sent in, until you hear anything and what might I expect?  TIA.


I went from Q to Transcend, and ran back to Q.
Something about frying pans and the fire comes to mind. Lots of negative posts, usually always removed. They also use Indian MTs big time, and pay horribly for VR, I believe 3 cpl?  I would hate to see you go from the Q to worse, and that's what happened to me and 2 other friends. S, Q and this one are all equivalent...
Has anyone ever quit Transcend and been able to go back...
Due to family circumstances and my own personal medical issues, I quit abruptly without notice, which I am so unhappy with myself about. I have never just stopped working somewhere and I was ashamed of how I handled it so I just stayed gone, not communicating with them and I got the termination letter.  I am now on my feet and things are going good and I want to go back to work. I'd love to get my job back but no one has responded to me so should I assume I burned that bridge and try to move on.  I really did love my job there. Anyone else quit and go back?  
I have worked for MQ, Spheris back when it was Edix, Transcend and OSI. TransTech is by far the bes
The pay is decent, probably not the highest in the business but not the lowest either. The benefits are good. Pay is always on time. Great bonuses. Great communication and most of all I really like the people and it makes me enjoy being an MT again.
I worked in QA for Transcending back in 2000-2001. They were paying hourly back then. SM

The accounts weren't too horribly bad.  The reason I ended up leaving was because slowly but surely they began to inch closer and closer to paying QA by production.  When I first started, the quota was something like 30 reports a day.   We simply had to make sure that we QA'd all reports that were close to being out of TAT first and then do the rest.  Then, my supervisor left and they hired a new one who immediately called a big teleconference meeting and said we had to up production to 60 reports a day.  Then, they started counting lines.  Which was fine because they were still paying hourly.


Next, there was an MT who used VR software because she was blind - yes blind.  Again, when I first started, I was told we had to edit her entire reports because she used the VR software and we had to make sure that everything was correct and made sense.  Then, we are told only check the blanks.  I wasn't comfortable with that and I continued to completely proof every word.  Then I was called on the carpet not because I wasn't meeting the production quota, but because I was ONLY meeting the production quota.  I told them I was proofing all of the MT's work that used VR, I was told that no one ever told me to proof every word of the VR reports and that I needed to fill in blanks and move on.  When I voiced my concerns, I was told that was my job, to fill in blanks and I should move on and strive to product above the standards.  Next thing you know, rumors abounded about changing the QA staff to being paid on production.  So I left. 


There just seemed to me to be too little concern for quality and more emphasis on quantity and I just didn't want to be part of company who would take money out of my pocket just to line their own and that's what they were doing by putting QA on production.  I also am not comfortable with the job of QA being thought of as a blank filler.  There is much more to the QA profession than just simply filling in blanks. 


I don't know if Transcend ever did start paying QA by production, but I could see that the idea was being floated there.  Maybe there was a enough protest that they didn't change from hourly.

Phoenix Medcom- Another apply a few months back, ask to take a test and never heard back??
I applied a month or two ago, received an email from someone asking if I would take a test and said she was getting ready to go on vacation for a week, so I hurried and immediately and told her I'd love to take the test. I never heard back. I waiting thinking she went on vacation and would contact me when she got back to do the test but nothing...very strange..Just wondered if this happened to anyone else.
Maybe MQ is over hiring now in preparation for something. Must be some reason they keep hiring when
some people have not work.
Has everyone heard back from Keystrokes yet regarding the email we received a while back?

Is this company on Long Island? I checked out their website and even tried calling once. Were you successful in contacting them? All i know is that the company is owned by some doctors.

but somehow with over 16 years of experience, I blew the test.  I was soooo disappoionted and yet pretty stunned.  I am by no means perfect but I haven't flunked a test in years.  I expected it in my early years but not this far down the road. I was so confident and they will not tell you which part you did not pass and why so it really just blew my mind.  I must have been in shock for like two hours after I got the email. Oh well, someone will want me....hopefully.  I was thinking about OSi but I don't think I could take another rejection if I never heard back.

happier.  I am on a different account then the first time and it is as if it is a different company.  I have a great lead who leaves us alone most of the time but is there when I need her.  It showed me that you can have a different experience within the same company.


I have to say that in the few weeks since they have the new office, it is much more organized probably because there are a lot of people there all the time.  I had the pleasure of speaking to the new HR manager who was HR at a hospital, got my questions answered about insurance as I am going to full time and had a live voice pick up the phone.


Not all change is bad.  This is one company that has changed for the better. 


I was reading about the back up help. I would like also to have some back up work.
I am not getting anywhere near 12,000 lines this go around.  My goal is 12,000 lines each pay period.

If MDI-FL is owned by Transcend and Transcend admittingly offshores, sm
then doesn't that make MDI a company that offshores? That's like saying that one branch of a company offshores but another does not, so they are excluded from the offshore label. If MDI-FL is part of Transcend and Transcend offshores, that means that they do.

Your hypothesis is incorrect. MDI is a wholly independent subsidary of Transcend, therefore, they were not a part of the experiment to offshore to evaluate cost/benefit ratio that Transcend only tried for 90 days (I believe the evaluation process is not still ongoing).

I worked for them about 6 months - same mess to get hired - FBI check is right! It was unreal. I was so excited, though - they promised me the moon, and I really thought I had found my new home after centuries with that other company who shall not be named.  What a disappointment, to say the least. All around horrible experience, and I would NEVER recommend them. Certainly they were not worth the hoops at all. Total waste of effort.
It is not Transcend. Transcend has not had control of
the accounts long enough to make any changes to anything. Maybe your account just slowed down like a lot of others did over the last few weeks. Everything will run status quo for a few months before any major changes are implemented. And give Transcend a chance. It is a good place to work and you will finally have some benefits that you will enjoy.

Since I have been hiring for Keystrokes, I have ALWAYS followed thru with providing the proper paperwork to the office, and the AA gets the paperwork out the same day within hours of when I submit the new hire information, and then when the signed paperwork is not received usually we give someone about 72 hours, which on many occasions, people do not fax the paperwork back to the office, the AA in turns either sends out a FU e-mail asking where the paperwork is and/or I will call and send out an e-mail if there is an issue. I HAVE NEVER let anyone SLIP thru the Cracks with Keystrokes after I have offered them a position. Please get your facts straight before you post on here and use my name!

I have a note on the resume the date of hire, and the date the e-mail was sent to the office, and also have a new hire folder, where I put the e-mail that the office sends to me that the paperwork has been returned and faxed back, to the office. Keystrokes does FU on hiring of all new hires, so who ever is posting that needs to contact me and allow me to find out what the problem is so I can find a solution.

They said they passed me up because someone else wanted a full-time position, and I only wanted a part-time position. Then I had to contact them, which took 3 weeks to get a response. If I did well on the test and they need help, then why not hire me? What a waste of my time.

and just as hard to get ahold of when you are working there.  lol.  Try e-mailing the recruiter.  Thats your best bet. 
I just saw an ad where they are hiring for
someone to go overseas to train/teach classes. Wondering what's up with that. If it's true, kind of bold of them to advertise on an MT job site to promote taking American jobs away. Guess it all comes down to the almighty buck and how these companies continue to screw US MTs over.

Who's Hiring for ONC?

Does anyone have any experience with any of the companies hiring for ONC now?  Positive experience with the companies and the accounts, or negative? Which companies would you recommend for ONC?  TIA.

I cannot understand why they do not understand this.  I hope you have another job.  One problem they have...on one account, they had overseas MTs doing the typing, they allowed these people to go off of QA...next couple of weeks, the account was gone.  Nobody said it was gone, but there was never any work on the account and still isn't any. Zip activity.


Who, in their right mind, would allow overseas MTs to submit work directly to a facility?
