Will be my employer. I am trying to stay positive throughout the process, and not follow the rumors of paycuts, etc. on the boards. I will just wait and see what happens, and if I don't like the terms then I will look elsewhere.

The only thing I am upset about is possibly not working on Bayscribe anymore. Hope we get to keep using it at for our accounts.

You cannot rely on honest referrals on this board, especially the archives.  They are edited and deleted forever.  Just as the negative posts on the Transcend forum "magically" disappear once discovered...Don't be so naive, unless you're the one "editing"!

Transcend Services Inc is the company.  Employees are saying that they are offshoring but there has been no confirmation of this.  Could you confirm this for us?  I think they have an ad up in the Job Seekers board and I am confused.  Thank you for your help.

As a Transcend customer for 11 years, I find them a very reputable company.  They have provided great customer servince and excellend services for our facility for 11 years.  Their Executive Leadership deserve to be commended for their dedication to their customers and employees.

I had been offered QA for Transcend Services and MXSecure...sm
but declined both. MXSecure took forever to check my references, etc...plus I believe they outsource and when questioning the guy, he denied it but their website says so.  So, that turned me away from them.  Transcend Services offers QA for voice recognition.  I was unfamiliar with that and their process, but they sent me equipment quickly and they seemed friendly, but turned them down.  They both had a production quota.  MXSecure's seemed a bit high; Transcend Services seemed more reasonable.  Hope this helps.  This is just what they had told me.  No real experience, though, with working for either.  Good luck!

I didnt realize it was that much!  No wonder they feel no loyalty to their old MT's!  ,,,everybody has a price I guess.


The $16.2 million purchase price consists of $10.2 million in cash payable at closing (less any existing indebtedness assumed and plus or minus certain working capital and tax-related adjustments), $2.0 million in cash payable after receipt of interim financial statements and audited financial statements for the last two fiscal years, a $2.0 million note payable to the selling shareholder due one year after closing, and $2.0 million of Transcend common stock (119,940 shares). The initial cash portion of the purchase price is expected to be funded using a combination of cash on hand and up to $7.0 million in bank term debt.

SOAP Transcription and Transcend Services? Need to decide.

Got job offers from both.  Pay and benefits look to be about the same.  Anyone work(ed) for either or have worked for both?  Good, bad, or any other comments regarding either company? 


How is the family health plan with each?  Cost? Coverage?

Can anyone give me information on Transcend Services Voice Recognition editors? sm
I was offered a job with them.  Curious as to how good their benefits are, how easy the program is, and if the dictations are REALLY awful or just as any others.  Any input on anything to do with the company and/or information on Voice Recognition editors would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance!
How many positives are new?

Speaking to non-salaried, straight MT's now; no fair responding as QA, a recruiter, or those in special favor because of top production status, just your average to above average producer. Not that I don't aim higher, but average indicates the majority.


So, if what JMO said is accurate at all, the positive posts from newbies would only confirm what she is saying - that the newbies are "well-fed" with special incentives, higher rates coming in, etc., and the old are put out to pasture, despite skill level, tenure, or extra time given, unless you are a top producer, is that the general gist?


Any non-new, non-specialized averge to above average MTs that have been at Transcend a while with an overall positive opinion? And those of you who were not happy with Transcend, where did you go and why is it better?

can be found i'm sure in the searches here. It is a solid company with high standards and respect from clients and workers. QA is good and kind in delivery of comments. Decent accts. Good pay. Very standardized accounts. Simple platform. 24-hour window to work. You're left alone to do your job. You set your line count obligation, and if you get done in less than 8 hours, you can be done. No time clock. No hassles. its a breath of fresh air! in this MT world of ours.

I hope the company has changed for the better. However, I know that not too long ago, there were many problems at KS.  And I also remember that anytime someone posted something negative about KS here, the owner would get on and post under different names.  I wonder.........

All I see are negatives about Proveros.  Anybody work there that is happy?  Low ESL, plenty of work?  Anything?
Just because someone posts positives about a company....sm

doesn't mean they're in management, and you're presuming that someone who posts a positive is a manager is pretty ludicrious.  There are plenty of MTs out there happy with their employer... even some folks happy with MQ even with all of the legal problems that company has ongoing.


Unless someone makes a statement about someone in particular at a company that is completely false then there would be no reason for anyone to request a trace to find out who a poster is.  For example, on most internet boards anywhere you can say something like "XYZ company stinks" and be OK, but if you said something like "XYZ's payroll department paid me only a fraction of my earnings and failed to correct the problem" without proof to support your statement then you could be potentially held liable for posting false information.   If you did have proof of in this instance a payroll problem and proof of where it was attempted to be resolved then you'd be safe. 


There are plenty of positives with this company
and as always you should take negatives with a grain of salt. One person's experience may not be your own.

Quite the opposite. I have found mostly positives. sm
I started 4 months ago and so far, so good. When I was doing research, it seemed that all the negative posts were from the same 2 or 3 people, one in particular that harps on no raises and no OT pay. Everyone I have talked to at KS and other MT's that I know at KS all say the opposite is true; they do give raises and do not expect you to work OT. When the do ask you to, they often say holiday pay, which means 1-1/2 times your regular rate, just like OT pay. I did get my raise at 90 days, as promised. I do have the work I need to get the lines I need to make the checks that I need, so I am happy. The training was excellent, and the QA feedback helpful not spiteful.

MQ & MDI NEGATIVES

I'm just curious why both MDI-FL and MQ get so many negative posts on this board versus the rest of the companies out there?  Is it because these two companies are so large so there are more employees to complain, or is it because they are really just very bad companies to work for? 


I'm considering both companies, but see all of the posts on this board and am a little nervous about making a change.

And ya know what? For all the so-called "perks" of working for MQ, what did MTs get MT week? Oh, yeah, a chapstick attached to a key ring. Who knows, next year Frank will pass out dog turds wrapped in pretty red ribbons, and there will still be MTs who say MQ was thoughtful, and we're all ungrateful. Oh, well.

in your paragraph itself for me. You could try, but I think I would try for something else in the meantime. That's a lot to be concerned about.

i vote MQ; tried a couple smaller companies -- but when you roll into the mix all the various factors, its my choice place to be. and furthermore, its my family's sole income and as a FT employee -- i'm not even worried about the lawsuits and all. The company is constantly improving. There are no signs of sell-out or collapse, only of strength.

what about the RAD accounts?  I read before that they had good RAD accounts, but do they actually train you or do you just jump right in and make your production?  I am waiting for my interview from the recruiter who came back from a trip a couple of days ago.  Any info appreciated!
