Quite honestly, and meaning no disrespect to you whatsoever, I think you are truly one of the exceptions, not the rule here.
Yes, lots of us have various theories about how it is that *some* people claim to do well on VR.
You also have your theories (if you're the same VRHere identity that I think you are) - your theory is that fewer people are using your VR program, as compared to companies like MQ where literally thousands of people are cooking the broth, and thus the broth is spoiled.
I personally have found that while I'm a pretty darn good QA person when QA'ing hand-typed reports, I miss a LOT of stuff when editing VR reports. I don't know why that is - perhaps because the types of mistakes that people make and the types of mistakes that the VR program makes are 2 different animals? Who knows? Who really cares?
Ultimately, from reading these boards for several months now, I think I'm quite justified in believing that VR productivity is, for ALMOST ALL MT/ME's, NOWHERE NEAR the *double* that the companies setting the VR pay rate scale claim that it is.
I also think I'm quite justified in the *GENERALIZATION* (not the 100% hard-and-fast rule) that slower typists benefit more from VR than faster typists.
Just because an idea doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it doesn't make sense to the rest of us who have endured a completely different reality than the one you've endured.
