True, some of these offshore men treat women as inferior because of their culture. But there are certainly good old American men who treat women that way too, whether it be because of their religion, upbringing, or just plain ignorance. There are still a large no. of American born and bred men who are from the old school of total male dominance, so being brought up in the US is no guarantee that a man is going to treat a woman with respect and/or equality. And that goes for some of those in high positions too.
