yes I went back to MT from QA. I did not regret going back to transcribing, not one bit. As for people telling you it is moving backward, well there seems to be some prestige to QA. Maybe these people mean you would be giving that up by going back to MT. However, I did not feel I was giving up anything going from QA to MT. It was a decision that was right for me.
Would I go back to QA? Only if I could not transcribe any longer for physical reasons, carpal tunnel, arthritis, etc.
BTW, I made $19 an hour as QA, as an employee of a large national.
I agree with the other poster(s) below your posts....I think you know what you want to do. Deal with whatever is holding you back from choosing what you feel is best for you, and everything else will fall into place. Don't you deserve to be happy in your profession? I think so!
