I think this is fair for several reasons. For one, for full-timers this is their main job. In fact, some of the full-timers are single parents and rely on this income to support their family. It is also harder for a full-timer to find more time to make up time missed than a part-timer. Also, the full-timers have money taken out for insurance, etc., and they have to maintain a certain leel to keep those benefits that they are working for. There are many reasons that I see to explain this. So far, I believe that WebMedx is the best managed company that I have come across (even though, I really liked it better when there was no such thing as a national transcription service).
This is just the way that I personally feel. If I am full time, trying to pay my bills by myself with children and one job, I really don't think that it is fair to sacrifice to someone who works part-time for the same company, for the reasons listed above and others.
