Think she was arguing the praise

I took it to mean she was incredulous that anyone could agree with OP.  When this thread first got started, abc said some pretty ugly things, which were deleted by the moderator.

Praise Report

A while back, November to be exact, I posted about applying for an in-hospital MT position at my local hospital, which is a County run hospital with good benefits and pay, 31,000 to 48,000 per year hourly pay. Don't know if they offer any incentives yet.  There work was being outsourced also, but they made the decision to bring their transcriptiono back in-house.  Anyway, I waited and waited, then 2 months ago received call that the County had put a freeze on hiring.  Well, yesterday received phone call from Human Resources asking me to come in Monday to do paperwork and take physical. Halleleujah.  I was actually down to the wire.  My pay had decreased due to lack of work and me being sick down to 500 every 2 weeks.  I received a notice from my Mortgage company stating my income was not sufficient enough for them to help with a modification and that they would refer me to Hope for Homeowners, but in the meantime they sent a letter stating they had started foreclosure.  God is so good.  I am praying that things will stall until I can at least make a full paycheck so that I can resubmit my information to the Mortgage Company. On top of all that, my daughter 22 in college, developed severe back pain, but I did not have her in any insurance because I could not afford it.  Had to come up with 250 dollars for her to see an orthopedist.  God is sooooo good.  Now I will be able to put her on my insurance until age 25.  The hospital is a small 175 bed hospital for indigent care and there will only be 2 transcriptionists, and we will only be typing discharge summaries and very few op reports.  Monday through Friday 7:30 to 4 p.m.  12 vacation days a year that accrue, 12 sick days per year that accrue, County pension plan,  about 8 or 9 holiday pay.  God is soooo Good.  I can't thank Him enough.  I wish all of you that are looking for outside work, don't ever give up.  I believe more and more hospitals will be bringing their work back in house.  God Bless You All.

When I see a company getting a lot of praise and looking for a lot of
people to hire, I get a little leary.  Past history has shown that those companies usually get sold within 6 months to a year.  The number of bodies on payroll are part of the assets for a company when they sell their slaves.  It used to be the Squid that bought them all, now it is Squid Jr - Transcend- so be careful.
Kind of risky to praise the company you work for
because somebody who must have gotten burned at some job will jump on and announce that no company can be that good, so we must be lying! That we're really managers or recruiters.

< Sigh >
arguing
Hi everybody.  Reading these posts from last few days.  I have noticed there is a lot more arguing than anything else.  Why is that?
arguing

I do not look at it as arguing, I feel this forum is to express opinions, some are stronger than others, and some are defended more so than others.  This is a place where the administrators gave us the opportunity to vent, laugh, cry, suggest, and assist each other.  As with any worker in any position, we need that without fear of repercussions.  Thank you MTstars for offering us the opportunity.

Today, July 4th is a great day to remember that we do have tohe right to do just that.

arguing
You are right in what this forum should be for, but some of the posts I read are just down right mean and unnecessary. They are not helpful at all. Not suggestions or assistance, just plain mean to other posters. We all have different thoughts and view points and we should all accept the thoughts of others without attacking them. That is all I am saying. I am working on holidays too, and I wish we could all work at the perfect job, but we chose this profession. I am too old to change now so I am just trying to make the best of it.
Nobody is arguing that.
There is nothing wrong with that scenario. What I have a problem is the companies that require their MTs to work a set shift, such as those I see for 3-11 pm T-Sat. If I am going to have a set shift, what is the benefit of being an IC? I certainly don't get paid any more as an IC and I don't get medical benefits, retirement, etc. Might as well be an employee if I am going to have to be stuck to a schedule. Least then I don't get hit with extra taxes.
There's no use arguing with the TT
management & couple of cheerleaders here. They won't let the truth be said without attacking every post. I've done plenty of VR, and I agree with you. The quality of VR is awful and requires a lot of work to correct it, which is very time consuming & should not come with a huge cut in line rate. Now watch them freak out over my honest post stating my actual experience with VR.... They can't just let you state your opinion & experience with VR without attacking & telling everyone they should quit, etc. It's getting old.
Please just stop your arguing, there is no need for it.
s
I agree about the arguing.
Some people are just MEAN on this board for the sake of being MEAN....
You MUST enjoy arguing, looooool....

Not arguing, haven't started yet. Just trying to get the whole picture here.
