If you are very good, the company accommodates you so you don't work weekends

STAY AWAY from this company! Do a search here. Lots of information, none of it good.
No, but I saw the ad - 12 cpl for weekends. Sounds good.

Transform, are they any good for weekends and evenings?

Are there any GOOD companies that offer IC status (and no weekends?) ??
I would really like to work a Monday through Friday job. Plus, I prefer IC status. Probably an impossible combo...
Thanks!
Good grief. Why can't these companies hire PTers for weekends.
x
Your timing is good. They just asked me if I wanted to pick up an ER account for weekends which inc
Thursdays and Fridays. It is an internet-based account and a good one but I have enough work on my primary.
MID SIZED COMPANY, NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS NM
KRAZY BUT TRUE
a good thing and stay put, not think! nm

Yikes! A good one to stay away from then. Thanks!! nm

I made that working for a national...O/T, weekends...no live, now no O/T or weekends(sm)
so no more big bucks, at least from them...looking for second job to make ends meet, don't have husband to help...this sucks.
THANK YOU!! good to know so we can all be made aware to stay away! nm

Any good suggestions? So many stay aways!
Wanting to know some good company suggestions. Went down the page here, and lots of stay aways. Still looking for a fair line count (see original message on main board about wanting to find a fair company) or at least a way to get paid halfway decent without getting burnt out. That is trying to find a company or hospital situation at home where you get the line count which is fair, no hidden surprises. Thanks in advance for some good replies. I have enough stay aways on my list and none so far on the good list. Have a nice day and thanks again.
Yes. Pay on time, good communication, stay busy.nm

Yes, PS HAD a good rep in the past, but they're a mess now. Stay away. nm

Probably a company we should stay away from.
I am looking for a new home, and have been testing and interviewing like crazy, which I am sure is true for the rest of you. I imagine by the time Precyse gets around to contacting any of us, we will have found a new home.
Makes you wonder if they actually have positions available or if they just like to post ads.
Why would you stay with a company
reason most of us work is to buy groceries for our families and put a roof over our heads. I couln't afford to work for a company that didn't pay decent. What good is a company if you are living in a tent?
Definitely stay away from this company....
As someone else mentioned, lots of drama, no communication at all from the owner, and very low pay. They also offshore to India.
Which company is this; I want to stay far away
from them
STAY AWAY from this company!
Horrible experience, I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy.
Good place to start if you have no experience but you wouldn't want to stay there.
Unique experience working with and for the Indians and that's all I can say about that. Just realize that when you say NO.. because of the language barrier to them it means that yes, I will do it. LOL..I was new to the online biz too and they were my first job. In hindsight, YIKES.. but I stayed 7 months and then moved on.
TCI, Ohio...Please stay away from this company
The pay is horrible. The owner degrades you on a daily basis and they promise you tons of work and then CUT you when times get slow. Please from one fellow MT to another...don't waste your time! You deserve much better!
STAY AWAY!!! This company used to be called...
Quality Medical Transcription in Blue Springs, MO (which is not far from Pleasant Hill, MO), owned by the same contact person. Not only do they offer ridiculous line rates (7 cpl w/o spaces IC status), when I worked with them my pay checks always bouced....that is after they would actually show up.
Unless you are just absolutely desperate for work....I sincerely do not recommend working for this family.
Also, check out the link below (same person/family)
But you dont have to stay at a company where you

AllHealth in GA - Good company, good equipment, any info about this company? (sm)
What type of work do they have? Any op reports? Appreciate any info.
Any company who wants to stay in business sends work out
It is called a blended model. Hospitals are demanding a better price and US companies must offer offshore work that is edited by US MTs to compete. It is just like voice recognition, a company must offer this platform or lose the ability to bid on the work. It is not for every hospital and it is not for every situation. Therefore, if a company does not have the ability to offer a lower price with non-domestic labor plus have a voice rec option, they will find themselves unable to compete in tomorrow's marketplace. Those who cannot compete will lose market share and continue to run out of work. Those who can compete will continue to hire MTs and grow market share.
Glad you love your company. Hope you stay there - LOL

Does anyone recommend a pretty good company that is good to work for, pay always on time and plenty
of work. I know that is asking a lot, but just curious?
Strictly IC, good company, hard accounts, good platform.
Good pay, always on time, no direct deposit though.
Is Transcend a good company with a good platform to work on. They are advertising.
:
Webmedx hires some ICs. Good company. So sorry for your loss. Good luck!

TransTech for many reasons, good pay, stable company, good benefits
and flexible.
I have looked around the last 6 months and have found nothing better. Have turned down numerous jobs, and have finally decided to stay put. The better insurance plans were announced and even moreso than ever, I am staying put, and my paycheck is happy about that because it is getting better every day. Good luck to you.
TransTech is a good company. Debbie is the owner and a good one at that! nm

Good company, great people, good benefits.
Affordable insurance. Good luck!
I can't afford to stay with VR. If they paid more, I'd stay.
The situation sucks. I really liked this company when I started there. I know they read these forums, and they are aware that we are unhappy over VR line rates. They stroke us with cute emails and say we're the best, but I can't feed my family on praise. They're turning into another MedQuist, and so I'll be leaving.
I know JLG and they are a good company with a good group of people
I joined JLG about 9 month ago and I am thrilled with the experience that I have had. Although the company has been around for 20+ years, a group of good industry veterans who know how to operate fairly to both employees and clients have joined the company in the past year. I followed my manager from another giant company.
I have also worked on this account and it was plauged with problems from the start. The hospital required the account to be implemented in a matter of days, there were technical issues and the hospital management staff was new and the employees were mad because transcription had been outsourced. Personally, I won't miss this client but good luck to those that get it.
There is plenty of work at JLG and I have already been advised on my new assignments
DSG is a good company. The sound quality is good sm
but I don't understand why they are hiring. In the a.m. was have NO work. The afternoon and evenings do have more work though.
or maybe it's really a good company. Give me a break. If a company isn't talked about sm
on here, good or bad, it's probably too small to matter and does not offer benefits or anything at all.
Good company, with good incentive SM
pay scale, decent health plan for full-timers, lower end for other benefits, well organized and dependable, good platform, good support. Very heavy ESL, medium-sized community medical centers, relatively high SR pay rate because it takes longer overall to clean it up. However--good producers who put in a good workday make quite good money here.
Stay low and stay very, very quiet. Do not
ask questions, do not talk to the supervisors unless forced to. The answer will always be the same, that you are the only one who has an issue, everything else is perfect. Never mention anyone's name. This place has the mentality of the Borg, everyone has been assimilated, which means if your supervisor does not like you, or does not like your friend, you have no chance. You associate with so and so, so you are exactly like them. That quickly goes through the Borg network and every team lead, ROM, and person in management, including HR, is aware of it. You'll be labeled a trouble maker and your life will not be worth living. Any trial to clear your name will be done in the fashion of the trial of witches. You are in a dunking chair - if you drown you are innocent but it is too late by then.
Remember, a ROM never makes a mistake and never tells something that isn't true. They are perfect (and nastier than a pack of hiennas.)
If you run out of work, it is your fault. You are just lazy. Can't make enough to take care of your family? Too bad, you need to work harder.
And forget getting an answer from management. It doesn't
happen. So, as before, stay low and very quiet.
And do a good job? You can be assured that if you do a good job, do what you are supposed to do, and stay quiet, no one will even recognize your name. They have no idea where you work, what your schedule is, or that you even belong to Transcend.
good company
I have been with them for awhile now. Every one is wonderful and helpful. I thought it was a 65 character per gross line. I am going to look back through my notes. If it is not, I still make a line count that I am happy with and still improving. Pay is always on time. Have a good day.
Good company
I am happy with them. Good accounts, very rare to run out of work, good managers, decent pay. I feel I have been fairly treated.
D*** good company, go for it
I was off of QA in 3 days, overtime yes, benefits, yes. GO FOR IT, EXCELLENT COMPANY.
GOOD IC COMPANY!
I have found Philbrick Transcription (based out of CT) to be a great company and they only offer IC status. They have a great starting line rate too!!! www.philbricktranscription.com
Anyone out there know about Cy Med. Is it a good company sm
How do they pay? Do they count lines fairly? Do they have a lot of bad ESL? They seem like a nicer, kinder MT company even offering time and a half until you get up to speed. Are they liars who say anything to get you to sign on? Can you expect them to be true to their word? Thanks any and all imput! What a crazy world. I am going wild trying to find a nice MT company.
Good Company
Wonderful group of people to work with. Been there since August, with a few problems at home, and they have been great. Very high standards for quality.
Good company. sm
One downside is occasionally running low on work, but I have plenty of backups, so I never run out. Platform gets quirky sometimes, but it doesn't stop me from producing and earning bonuses. Great people. Come on over.
I don't consider them a good company. I
took their test to work for them and I have more than 18 years of experience and they sent me a really insulting letter telling me to apply again in six months when I had more experience.
The audio was horrible and I had no way of slowing the dictation down.
I asked about what errors I had made and of course they told me to call. I was not going to do that if they could not even give me an estimate of my mistakes which they could easily have done. I was not about to play phone tag when I needed to work badly and had to wait till I was finished for the day to take the stupid test.
When you don't have the right equipment, just how are you supposed to take a test. I know that I got the answers to the written part right and I did the best I could with the dictation which I say was awful, but to insult me like that having 18 years of experience and sending that shoddy letter just infuriated me. I will never try again, I'll sure bet.
Glad the rest of you got past the front door and liked it. I thought I sure would have. Oh, well. I
MDI is a good company
I've been there about 5 months now, and I really like it. Pay is good and always on time - either employee or IC status. Good benefits but family insurance is expensive. Flexible as far as schedule and if you have doctor appointments or whatever. Never had any problem with that. Management has always been more than fair about any issues that I've had. The platform I work on is word based, but they have several different platforms - just depends where they need help and what you're needs are. Work was a little slow in the summer, but there's been plenty lately. I think every company has a slow time in the summer, or at least that's been my experience. I've been with other nationals, and so far, MDI is by far the best one I've worked for. Very happy there.
