There truly must be a God(dess) protecting me.

He wanted to have me in the worst way....begged, pleaded, talked in really weird circles that made me feel that I was a character on X-Files (we can protect you...) but in the end I decided to not join tne management freak show. Someone, please put him out of MT's misery!

They are protecting their company's

You are an MT.  You chose to do that.  If you owned the company, you wouldn't feel the same way.  If someone hurt your family member would you not want them to appear before a court and take the blame and do the time?

It's the same here.  Someone handing out false information is in no way helping us as MTs at all.  It's actually showing these companies that MTs fail to realize where their place is, which is not to run the company you work for; leave that for the CEOs and owners.  You are an MT - end of story.  You're not the owner.  You didn't get the accounts for them, you just transcribe the work.  There's not much more to it than that.  These accounts you transcribe are not your's they belong to the company.  They have the accounts, not you.

There's no us against them.  They employ and contract with us and thank goodness they do or I'd have to go back on site and do a lot more work for a heck of a lot less money.

It's not the company's fault if an MT isn't up to par and cannot make lines.  If you signed on with a company and they have no work for an extended period of time then move on.  It's the nature of the business.  They only have what the dictators put across.  As an employee they should pay downtime.  They shouldn't be asking you to flex as an employee.

IC is a whole different ball of wax.
