They offshore, but they don't want you to know that.

Lots of information in the archives, but I
think the general concensus is Spheris isn't a good company.
Lots and lots of recent stuff in archives.
Lots and Lots of info about them in the archives. nm

Lots in archives on TRS, nothing good. Don't know
anything about All-type, but I have seen them mentioned so info is in archives too.
Lots of info in the archives. nm
Read the archives. Lots there, most of it not
good. Someone else asked about them this week so scroll through the board.

Lots of stuff about them in the archives, none of it
good. I don't have your answers, but they offshore big time.
Found lots in archives. Thanks though!

Lots of info on all in the archives.
SS is a horrible company. They are constantly hiring and new accounts isn't the reason. I don't think Keystrokes hires for PT.
Search the archives, lots of info on them.
They're great; lots in the archives
Yeah, you get bonuses based on your lines per hour rate, for all lines, not just the extra ones. The past few months I've been able to add 2 cents to my line rate based on the bonuses. Insurance is about $50 out of my paycheck for just me.
Lots of stuff in archives; go to the page numbers at the bottom, hit Ctrl-F for find and type in WebMedX.
The only possible negative I can think of is ESLs and slightly more difficult work, but if you passed their test, you should be fine. You're mostly on the same accounts, so you get used to them.
Read the archives, lots of info there.
Check the archives. Lots about them recently.
I wouldn't bother. They can't get you anything better than you can get yourself. They are basically recruiters who get paid if you are hired, but they don't have a whole bunch of companies so they aren't really weeding them out for you.
Check the archives, lots on them. Indian run. nm
Lots of info in the archives. Seems to be a mass
exodus going on.
Lots of stuff in the archives, but it is a horrible
company. Some of the worst ESLs, sound quality horrible at least on some accounts, frequent turnover. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
Lots of posts in archives stating that it is
a Indian run company. Supposedly they have a U.S. storefront office in MA. Turnover is very high, which is why they constantly have ads running. The only good thing I've ever heard about them is they will hire newbies. They pretty much have to because an experienced MT would not want to work for them unless they couldn't find a job elsewhere.
Lots more current info is available. It is the
worst company I ever worked for. Sound quality horrible, the worst ESL dictators, management problems, low pay for the dictators, owners have no MT background, which means they are in it for the $$.
Yep. Like other poster said, lots in the archives. 99+% good feedback
on this company. Check the archives.
Is anyone happy at OSI in Douglasville, GA? Lots of negatives in archives - SM
but I also remember reading some positive comments. I am a CMT with 30 years of experience, and I need employee status with good, affordable health insurance. I so wish I could fine some place where I can stay until I retire, or at least a long, long time!
Lots of posts recently in the archives. Horrible
company
Have read archives, but can any current TRS employees ... SM
share how it is there now, specifically whether the required line counts are doable and if they generally have good accounts - also about the benefits. Thanks!
Current info about Axolotl in archives, never
heard of the other company. Axolotl is not currently hiring, has no work on multiple accounts, though they do pay for downtime. Fixing to start transition to natural speech, most would call it VR. Pay is better than most currently, good benefits, great company. Work has been low for 3-4 months, but is worse lately. They provide all software/hardware, good tech support 24/7.
Check the archives and more recent posts. Lots of info there.

Read the archives. Lots of stuff recently. Not good.
Horrible place. Check the archives, lots of info there.
Lots of information.
Google it. There are many hits for E-Dictate.
Indian company. If you'll search the archives lots of info
on them.
The archives are full of specifics. Lots of details that should take care of your "need". NM

Any new information on eTransPlus?? Everything is old in the archives.
TIA for any information. Apparently they are hiring for a new account and have a sign-on bonus so I thouht I'd check it out. Thanks
All that information is in the archives. It may even be 3 or 4 posts
down from where you are asking. Maybe how many years of experience they have isn't listed, but then there are no guidelines which we are told to follow about posting about a company. I know I worked for SoftScript and it was horrendous and I didn't have any non-ESL dictators. Someone else will post about how wonderful a company it is, but all of the Ex-SS have figured out it is probably management because we ALL know better. I figure there is there are at least a dozen posts and 11 of them are negative then it is a bad company. I do agree though that a newbie doesn't know there is anything better out there.
Many times people post read the archives and I'm guilty of that, because a company has been discussed so much and the very same questions asked again and again and again. I tihnk it is up to us to do our own research, just like the word boards aren't for those too lazy to Google something.
You can search the archives for more information.
I had looked up the platform too and I think it's worth a try. Again, I've been on platforms like Escription which I averaged $30 an hour on and others have said they were starving. So, again, I think it is also up to the person.
Found the information in the archives, thanks (sm)
I called the phone number and it answers for Macro-Solutions. I also checked with the BBB and sure enough they have been in business for a long time and have an excellent rating BUT the contact name is different than the name given with the BBB, but that could be because it is the HR person posting the ad. I still think that something is fishy with it, who knows though.
I've read the archives but would like current info on this comany. Thanks nm

Current information.
I've been with OSi for a couple of years, and I have no complaints.
Currently, the insurance is Aetna, certainly middle of the road in coverage and price, and they switched to them from United Health last August because UH was going drastically increase the premiums due to the high volume of use they had from the company. Current family plan on the managed PPO is around $250 per pay period (twice a month), and that is the most expensive plan. The others have much higher deductables, and they offer the medical savings account plan, but I prefer a traditional coverage plan. If you're looking for individual coverage it is much less than that. OSi pays about 50% of the cost, some other companies are contributing more like 80%, so the monthly bill is higher than some, less than others.
I have received all bonuses promised, all holiday pay, all celebratory pay, and my annual raises. All pay has been on time. I have found the pay scale to be very competetive with other nationals.
You are expected to have a schedule, but in my experience there is more than adequate flexibility for anything that comes up. If you are scheduled on the weekends and have made other arrangements for time off you may be called, but just if they haven't seen the change or if your manager forgets to change it on the schedule for the week. Like any real job working for other people, things happen, and you may just need to say that you made other arrangements with your manager. Not a big deal, frankly. You just need to let people know in advance, or if it is last minute call, so they aren't wondering what happened.
Vacation time accrues at a rate equal to 10 days a year in the first 3 years, then increases. Vacation pay rate is based on you average output prior to vacation (not sure how long they average). Not as high as you would get typing, but certainly very nice when you're on vacation.
If you work on a government account you do have a background check, but you provide the contacts for them, so think about who you list. This is done by an outside government source, not OSi, though they send the paperwork, then it's sent to the gov. agency.
If you do work on VA accounts, typically all national holiday weeks are pretty light, but they make up for it in volume by the end of the week. Other accounts vary as to flow of work, though most seem pretty steady in my experience.
I happen to really like my primary account. The lines pile up fast, because the reports are long, and you don't spend a lot of time setting up the demographics. Not all accounts are equal, and with first-hand knowledge of several accounts at OSi and at a few other nationals, the specific account is the luck of the draw.
This is a real job, and I've found that if I approach it like one it is appreciated. If you are a full-time employee it is reasonable for a company to expect you to work your hours as planned unless you notify them otherwise. I know many companies give a time window of 12 hours to get your lines and hours in, so you may be more comfortable with a place like that than with a job that asks you to base your week on a regular schedule. There are many people who are better suited to freelance gigs, because the reason they work at home is to have total freedom to work when and how often they want. If that is what you're looking for, you should consider working as an independant contractor (IC). There are some working at OSi, and most other companies also have both employee and IC positions. You just have to ask the recruiter or personnel officer if it's available, and get the rates.
Please keep in mind that message boards are most often used by people who have something they want to complain about. It's an easy place to vent frustration and anger, and sometimes not so easy to get the opinions of people who are busy at work. As a very long-time internet user, I've found that to be true of all types of message boards, and you have to learn to balance the information you get from here accordingly.
Any current information on OSi?
Thanks, but I'm looking for current information. Anyone else?
It is better to get the current information sm
directly from the employer as we may not have the most correct information ourselves or may even misinterpret what we do have. That is why we say ask the employer. It's not fair to you to give you incorrect or misleading information.
Any current information
Is there anyone with current information on Lartech? Pay? Pay on time? Any info is appreciated
UST--current information
Considering applying. Any information as far as how they are to work for, benefits, etc?
Looking for current information regarding
Archivus. I have seen some discussions about them on this site, where it was stated that they were changing their platform from Vienetta to Transcribe+, but I cannot find out any information about this platform and was hoping some of you who are working for Archivus, or those who use the same platform, could provide some information here about the platform.
Also, I am wondering about the flexibility in scheduling. They say they do offer flexible schedules, and the employment type is IC. Do you know what timeframe there is for getting in the 1200 lines per day?
I guess the other thing I would like to know about is, does anyone know about how long it takes to get up and running once an offer of employment has been made? There was some discussion here about that being the one bad thing about this company, so I was just looking for an idea of how long it actually takes.
I appreciate any insight offered here. Thanks, and have a great day!
Frequent turnover, offshore big time. Read the archives, lots of info on them. nm
Any information on All Type. Could not find anything in the archives.
I know they are hiring so I am just trying to gather some information before applying.
I noticed that some of the archives had contradicting information also.
Thought maybe someone that worked for them currently or recently could give some insight. I guess no job is perfect and there is good and bad everywhere, just depends on what you can and can't live with. Have been offered a job and just want to make the best informed decision I can.
