There are lots of things a company can tell from

Maybe they don't care about how you pay your bills, but the credit report also has previous addresses (as in how many times you've moved) and previous companies you've worked for (as in how many times you've changed jobs). Also, if there are a lot of delinquent payments, they can assume you'll be interrupted at home (during your shift) with dunning calls. Personally, if I were an employee, I'd hire someone with late payments, knowing they need the job!!

Lots of things
wrong with it. The spellchecker is not good at all. It does not recognize almost all the medical words/medications, etc., and you have to add each word if it isn't in the spellchecker. Another thing, if you want anything block indented, it does not do it, you have to manually space it over. I am assuming this is MediTech, Word-based? If it isn't, then it is even worse.
Lots of good things below about
I just applied and hope to hear from them, the archives and the posts below from some of their MTs looks good.
ADHI pushes lots of things
IMHO, none of them are useful to the MT. Don't forget, this is the organization that supports offshoring.
lots of good technical things, but they outsource overseas
and a lot of their managers are from the old Edix, which is not a good thing, if you want to be treated with respect.
if you do not mind how you are treated, you can do okay. hard getting lines consistently.
my opinion. maybe things have changed, but I have read a lot of negative on here lately.
Big deal! Lots of companies require certain things whether it be software, sm
footpedals, a certain version of Word, etc. I have an Infinity footpedal and I have used Expresscribe with it previously; however, StartStop is totally worth the money as it works with it as well.
Lots of promises, no follow through. Lots and lots of internal sm
problems. She is recruiting heavy right now as she has a CHANCE at getting a big account back. Even if they get it back, they'll blow it again from poor management.
Need company with Lots of OPs
Looking for a company with lots of OPs available (that can support 300-400 lph x8 hours a day). Need full time employee status with benefits. What companies allow you to do exclusively Ops? Thanks.
Yup, lots of ESLs.. I like the company though and
after a while, once you get used to them, they are not so bad. Sometimes, I find the US physicians worse with mumbling, etc
Lots. Horrible company.
Sound quality horrible, dictators beyond horrible. Late paychecks, constantly changing ways to get lines, horrible management.
Someone asks about this company weekly. Lots of
info available.
FC is a great company, very stable, lots of work. sm
The platform is simple and easy to use. You have a choice of transcribing in Word or WP5.1. My only negative is the sound quality. QA is very helpful and responsive. The people are very, very nice. I'm a bit of a perfectionist but still manage to rack up the lines pretty well. Pay is direct deposit, never late, many times early. On a scale of 1-10, I give this company a 9.
I recommend this company to seasoned MTs.
Search on the company board. Lots of posts.

Most company web sites have testimonials from LOTS of employees, not just one. sm
Kind of makes you think, doesn't it? They just use that one tired rave review of yours.
As far as not having a problem with you being gone -- you're an IC! You're SUPPOSED to be able to be gone when you need to be. It is another place that doesn't seem to know the meaning of the idea of being an IC, although that is par for the course nowadays and I really cannot point them out as being the only one who does that.
It would seem best to let the CardioScribes thread die, but you had to bring it to the foreground again.
Was hired for a company that promised lots of work.
do they do this? I checked the archives on this company before accepting the position and although there were similar complaints along with disorganization and some others I decided to give it a try. In retrospect I should have listened to those posts. I'm out of work for the 4th time now, there's no communication. I don't know if my first clue something was amiss was the recruiter with her kids screaming in the background during the interview or the vague answers to questions I had clearing indicating there no transcription experience on her end. Why do companies do this. I have bills to pay and I always, always address this situation - is there enough work, do you run out of work often. I know there are times when work may be low but this consistently happening.
It's a separate company with different ways of doing things
Transcend is a public company and owned by shareholders, and MDI is a major shareholder.
I have been at MDI for several years and I have not noticed any change in the way it is run.
I just love this company! I have only great things to say
about them. Pay on time, very nice and helpful people, excellent company!
Search company board. Lots of posts recently, all
bad. Each and every one.
Some company lists have been around a long time, so lots of places

STAY AWAY from this company! Do a search here. Lots of information, none of it good.
Good company, lots of clinic work, pay on time.

Company emails and paperwork with lots of typos and misspellings
I recently started working with a small MTSO. In just about every email from the owner, I see typos, misspelled and misused words. Also, the same goes for all paperwork I have received. Even the QA manager does the same thing.
Would you bring such things to their attention?
Are you referring to a specific company? If so, which one. We know these things happen, we need
:+
Your company might stink, but the ExText is one of the best things out there! Good
s
See, my company has these things called days off! Cool, huh?!?!
NM
Depends upon how your company counts things, I suppose. sm
I like both platforms. Bayscribe is easy to use, and the Expander emulates PRD+, which I was used to. The spellchecker is kind of clumsy -- that could definitely use some tweaking. The thing I liked the most about Bayscribe was at the end of each report, you saw the line count for that report and how much you made, plus a total of lines for all reports and the total number of lines you had made for the day.
I am currently using ExText, and it is also easy to use. I have to go to ichart to view my line count, though, and you cannot get it on a report-to-report basis. The CTRL+I feature is useless to me since my employer does not count headers or footers. I quit using it because I hated to see what a big difference there was at the end of the day. I could do 300 lines per hour on Bayscribe. With the current setup, maybe 250. I can do 300 if I just sit and type as fast as I can with no breaks, but that cannot last for 8 hours solid.
Either platform is okay. I still kinda miss WP51 -- think DOS-based programs were faster -- but you can't hold on to a dinosaur. And, obviously that is just my opinion. Hope it helps.
The company does if you contact them about the job. I like to inquire before writing things off nm
at first impressions.
Indian company. If you'll search the archives lots of info
on them.
I totally agree, your story is mine and lots, and lots of others, please
believe me when I say Keystrokes has been honest like we used to have in this profession. If I can help one Transcriptionist avoid what we have, this will all be worth it. I worked parttime for Keystrokes at the time I was fulltime with ____ and quit, 2 years later I begged them to take me back after once again my paycheck was cut in half, and they did with open arms. I don't mean to run down anyone but a lot of these transcription companies are getting obscenely rich while paying below minimum wage to transcriptionists, playing with dictation and after working for a couple of them you know who is honest and who is not. Sorry I came down so hard but the reality is there are single mothers out there that I bet cry themselves to sleep not able to give their children a decent life because it is easier to steal from us. When companies have millions of dollar to pay for other transcription companies, open transcription schools in other countries, ect., ect., you know there is a lot of money in it. That is all I am saying.
I don't think we work at the same place, but I have been working lots and lots of hours.
Very thankful to have a decent job.
Lots and lots of recent stuff in archives.
Lots and Lots of info about them in the archives. nm

It's a great company -- lots of work and great pay. sm
Web site is www.mditrans.net. If you need anymore info, feel free to ask.
I work for a company with lots of work,
I work a second/third shift position and I still run out of work. I asked for a secondary account probably 6 weeks ago and haven't received one yet.
You can call the MTSO or your supervisior, but they really don't care, the work is getting done and that is all that really matters.
Lots lots, cuz I prefer
the OP/PR notes over any report......
Call them. I have lots of work, had lots of work
during the holidays too. I don't know who routes the work, but one of the office people is on vacation this week. I occasionally have to call to get work depending on what hours I'm working, but I have never not gotten work when I've asked for it.
No. Expect good things, and good things will come
x
lots of ESL
This company works on VA and other accounts. The accounts have LOTS of ESL MDs on them and they are HARD ESL MDs too....the accounts are truely not worth the pay!!
lots of ESL's do not do it
You will never get out of the program and a certain mentor will grade you only on ESLs and you will not get out.
Lots of changes still going on there.
//
lots of ESL...sm
They are a pretty good company to work for. Pay is on time. The only thing is all the ESLs...and different doctors every day....really messes up your production, as normals are impossible.
LOTS of ESL
ESL - Chinese, Indian, Russian, Hispanic, British and many really awful english speaking newbie residents in the process of training.
Yes, you can have (and may often need) the 12-hour window. Workload is not consistent, had to ask for secondaries before I was there 3 months; when OT is approved other people come charging on there and take all the work. Overstaffing appears to be a problem (though not a huge one yet).
I hope you can avoid the RadNet program, which atrocious and you are expected to be the unpaid go between for Webmedx techs and client techs, neither of which will own the problem. Main platform, Enterprise, is slow and often slower. Expect to have to drop what you're doing due to system freeze-ups and reboot a couple times a day.
The supe is very nice.
lots of lines on DQS
I've been on DQS about 2 months. I am averaging about 280 lph. I have been an MT for 1-1/2 years. I make use of InstantText and I set up a standard for almost every doc I come across. It can be done.
Lots of calculating there each day.
nm
Uh, lots of red flags here. I'd be looking elsewhere.
nm
lots of ex-mq mts go to that board and
she might read there 2
other on that board may know who she is 2
what's ur problem with it?
Lots of information.
Google it. There are many hits for E-Dictate.
lots of work
I got bored and tired of MQ not ever having any work, and I have found 2 part time positions that allow me to work whenever I want so long as I can get the required lines within a certain time frame. So far, I have worked for one platform for one month and the other for 1 day and already I am averaging more lph than with MQ. Think DocQScribe stinks maybe? Then add to that the time it takes for that stupid Etime logging baloney. I can't believe it took me this long, but it seems pretty plain to me.
You will get lots of replies of
keep in mind that is an average and includes everyone from the newbie to the ones that have been doing this for years. There is so much to take into consideration including whether the work is done for a national, whether you have your own accounts, work hourly at a hospital/clinic, etc. It does sound average to me for what its worth.
