yeah, my experience also ... take what you need and leave the rest ...
if you need to learn a new worktype to plump your resume -- ops, cardi, neuro, oncology, reproductive medicine -- figure out what's available -- volunteer to do the hard stuff now and learn like crazy ... while you leisurely scope what's available and apply elsewhere and weigh your options ... do this now in case crunch time is ahead.

Living well is the best revenge ...
Do the 30 minutes and leave the rest, then she'll get the picture.

Just for kicks, I wanted to see if the COMPLAINERS on the board all the time would step up - or if they just wanted to continue to whine.

I was hired for Radiology, but by the time they fixed the bugs in the platform (about a week) the client decided to do their own VR. Guess what? I got transferred to work I had less experience with and left to the mercy of merciless QAs...

Gradually the patience and extra effort I made to make this relationship work waned as did the we really appreciate your patience and effort rah rah's from management.

YOU may love your job and have no problems, but please don't lecture those of us who had a much different experience despite OUR best efforts.

why not enjoy the day off? You are constantly complaining about TT so please leave already! I for one always look forward to a little extra time off when work is slow..no big deal if you are prepared for it. Work always tends to be slow at this time of the year anyway. Enough with acting like a child...obviously this company isn't for you. Call **** and let her know how you feel, stop coming here.

You have been harping about the same points over and over again.  I used to work for TT, and I thought it was a good company.  You obviously do not feel that way, so do yourself (and them) a favor and find a place that meets your needs.   Life is too short to work at some place that makes you as miserable as you seem to be.

Anyone else have problems taking USA Type test? Cant get my comp to play the sound file.
Any suggestions? I really want to take the test but their sound file keeps loading onto my music program, and when I try to load it on Windows Medial Player it tells me I need codecs, so how would I find that to load?

or did not work out the 2 weeks, you are not eligible for rehire. A good friend of mine worked there and left. She did not finish her 2 weeks and now they will not hire her back. I really cannot blame them. If someone does it once, they might do it again.

If I were you, and it happened to you, go to Becky or Lee. They are usually easy to get on your side.

Where do you get that Scribe does not give you a line count??
I have been with Transportal for over 6 months and NEVER have I not been able to see my line count instantly at anytime I wanted. The ONLY exception to this is if a file is pending in QA it does not show until QA has completed it. This is not new within the last few weeks. It has been this way since January at least since I was hired.

It sounds to me like possibly you did not stay long enough to learn your account nor how to use the software and give it the full dedication it takes to learn all aspects.

I can easily type 250-300 lph when I give it my full dedication and am having a good day. I can say I have major health issues and Transportal has been a WONDERFUL company to work for for me. I do wish the pay was a little higher but I am thankful not to have an account full of ESLs day in and out too so I feel that compensates somewhat. I am an IC and I have NEVER been questioned about my work hours EVER and I have worked under 2 account managers, both beginning with a J. They are exceptional. Some weeks I work days, some weeks I work nights. I work whenever I can with no questions asked. Just as your work schedule may not be the same as everyone else, account managers have their schedules that work for them as well. Who cares when they upload the work, you have work don't you? If the files are already late on TAT, it doesn't mean you HAVE to stay up all night doing them. It means the entire acct is most likely out of TAT and working the oldest first. No, I am not in management. I am merely a team player, IC MT as stated, and I realize what it takes to keep the work flowing and the account happy. I hate seeing someone come on here and bash a wonderful place to work just because it may not have worked for them or because they didn't stick around to figure it out. If you had software issues, why didn't you ask how it worked? They should do more info regarding the use of the software but most experienced MTs can figure it out as it is that simple to use.

Out of 15 years experience, I have never been more satisfied with an account, company, or team lead with the exception of the good ole days and basic Word without platforms. With any platform, you have to do at least some demographic work and that is the wave of the future so you might as well get used to it and thank Obama for pushing electronic medical records. At least we are still typing rather than going to full EMR or VR or editing work from you know where. I am glad you left though, leaves more work for me, YEAH!! Also, I have NEVER received a rude email EVER from anyone within this company.
I type acute care for 7 cents a line...and

I made $40,000 last year as an employee.  The company I work for won't let me type ER, because they need me in acute care.  I could made more typing ER as a lot more gets macro'd.

Control i does not give us the exact line count where

we work.  We do not get paid for everything that control i would show.  It has recently been fixed so that we can use control i, but the line shown there is not what we will get paid for.  We have to go to ichart to get our *true* line count.  Ichart often is very slow and/or down !  There is a big difference in the control i line count and what we get paid for.  We also have no way to see the reports that we have done with the exact line count for that report, nor any report that shows us the job numbers we transcribed EVER!  We are even blocked from the function that shows the prior report that we did. Control i does absolutely no good if it is not a correct line count (paycheck-wise).  The only thing that I see good out of it with Transtech is that it does show the number of reports that I have transcribed so that I can compare it with my handwritten tablet of jobs, but it does not show each and every report number or line count for each report. The only way we could that is to look at Ichart at the end of each job which is very time consuming since it is so very SLOW !  But still no job numbers.

Are you required to give feedback even though paid by the line?
If so, I encourage all QA folks to STOP taking these by the line QA positions when you are required to spend your time providing feedback for which you are not paid. Every company that does this is cheating you. And there is absolutely no way I would QA on DQS/QASAR while being paid by the line. Rip off.
What companies give an accurate EXText line count?
Either an accurate count or the option to check your own!

You have a decent team leader.
Mine is not that great and is not flexible.
I followed my MedWare ER team leader
She's awesome and I have enjoyed working for her, and she started about a month ago at MedScribe (Jax, FL).  MedScribe has been good, plenty of ER work plus the pay is a little higher, plus I still have PS for a team leader. 
You should report that team leader to M.L.
I'm sure that he would take care of that. They are having a hard enough time getting MTs. They certainly don't need a TL who is running them off.
If MTs could trust their team leader or the supervisors
enough to talk to them without getting fired, there would be no posts on here, but you cannot say 1 thing without getting into trouble or getting fired.  These boards are only used for venting because we have no other place to go.  Deb is a monster so don't even try to talk to her.   Team leaders are arrogant and only there to collect a paycheck, not in it to help anyone but themselves.  They think they have been elevated to the position of CEO. 
How is the trainer, team leader or regional mgr
They've already said that it could be months, maybe even into next year, before all the problems can be fixed.  Why would the team leaders or trainers have answers that the technical team doesn't even have, and if they do, why haven't they fixed it for everyone??

mounds of account specifics and company instructions and I mean 7 binders each 3 inches thick , constant busy signals dialing in to get work, slow PC-company supplied, slow tech support, impossible to make line rate. Dock you big time for errors.
Humans require a leader to guide us.
Or we can lead the pack...if we have leadership qualities recognized by our peers.

No, some of the rest of us can do that too.
But if she types 2,400 in 8 hours, to be full time she will have to type 26,400 in an average pay period and I think that is requiring to much as a minimum just because she is fast. And expecting her to slow down just to spread it into 40 hours a week is silly.
They are just like all the rest: Pay so so,
tech support okay, accounts okay, people okay, not great and can be rude. Do not dare get cancer is all I can say.
