It took TTS a couple days to call me..
But it was definitely worth the wait. Actually, If i remember correctly, they were the last response i got to my resume, but ended up being the best all around offer on the table at that time.
Simple answer. Call a recruiter.

It's not like you owe them your first-born child if you talk to them, they're paid to help.


I am sure if you call your supervisor and ask she will be glad to answer or help.

We are on 7 days/week right now for rad. You need to call your lead. sm
There is PLENTY of work in radiology. I have typed more rad in the past month than ever before with any other company.
So what about the poster above being instructed by the MTSO,
the poster's employer, to type everything as the doctor says it, even if it the grammar is improper or the sentences don't make sense?

In this case the MT's job IS to create a low quality document. According to the MTSO, the poster would not be doing the job correctly if the poster was creating a quality document.

What are this poster's options? Is it this poster's fault when you go read the record, and it is incomprehensible? Should this poster quit their job because they are following the dictates of the MTSO and hospital?

Again, why are the MTSOs/hospitals creating this environment not the target of your venom but the individual MTs?

interested you let them know you are in the job, the better your chances. On top of that, when a job is advertised, I've been told over and over about the total mountains of resumes they get, so nudging their memory will only serve as a positive thing for you! Good luck!!!

I have been doing this a long time and when our stats are pretty up to date and then you get a stat dictated a couple of hours back, you sort of figure it out.  I think all companies should have a cherry picker of the month and let the team know who they are.  Does TT call people out on it?  My company just overlooks it as long as someone will do it.

You do not know these people personally and have no clue what type of person they are. I personally think it is a bit trashy to speak of others the way you have.
It's all SE status - some people just call it IC.

I do all that for my animals and people call me nuts!

It just depends on what your priorities are I guess.  Some people do that for kids, animals, a house, a car...if it makes you happy--go for it!  That whole life it too short and all...

Well if it is Amherst stick together and all of you call New Jersey. I did and a lot of people in my
office did and I dont know if it did any good or not but when I talked to New Jersey I got the distinct impression that were getting a lot of calls. They were very grouchy for sure. Dont just sit back and take it or nothing will change for you. There QA plan is so abusive it should be thrown out. You wouldnt believe the things they take off for to make sure you dont get QA points. They are a very very abusive office and it seems as though they like to make people miserable so it seems they must be very miserable women. You know, misery loves company.
I find that people who call others fraud are jealous.
Many people are jealous that others have made something more. It is the difference in each of us. I am sure if the recruiter who calls herself a hiring manager says she earns $46,000 that she does. I might even know who it is. I know I earn more and guess what?? I know one more recruiter that makes more than I do!

Being a recruiter, I know that you do not go around telling the company you earn that salary for because that is not professional to name the company, but if you think it is not possible, you are wrong. When you have excelled in the industry, it is not only possible, but probable.

If you want to make that kind of money, do something wonderful with your MT work and go for it, but you can't do it if you do not have the people skills or the ability to analyze.
CBay fired more people via conference call.

That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.

That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.

OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.

I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.

Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
TT management does not answer questions that you ask them; only answer those they want to answer.

I know, work for a long time and tried asking questions, but they just beat around the bush and don't answer the true question that you presented to them.

Sorry, but for some of us a day or 2 actually makes a difference.
Most want 20 hours over 5 days, but it could be more, or it could be spread over 4 days. nm

It is true. Any job has its good days and bad days.
Perhaps you'd like to just keep your old job and try this one out. Just because a poster here is crabbing about it, or even if as in the past there have been negative posts, odds are that there are very happy people who don't even post or know that this board exists. As Alice says. Everything is relative. The fact that this company is hiring and pays may be a place which is a blessing. As opposed to digging ditches on day labor for example. Or somebody might prefer digging ditches. This is just an example. Sometimes we who are employable, even though we don't make as much as we used to in this business, or as much as we would like to, we still if working at home do not pay for gas to go to work, career clothes, deal with office politics, have to look at a boss who writes us up if we are a minute late, etcetera. I don't make half as much as I used to, but I don't send my 3 children to day care which by the way saves us money. SO I remind my husband I am worth that in addition to my salary if I had a job outside. No job is perfect. I am not even sure if Focus is any good or not, I have not worked there. But if one poster says there are good days and bad, I say that is the most honest answer you are going to get anywhere, and if you need a job badly, how is it to hurt trying it out, until you know for sure for yourself? THanks for listening. But sometimes this board gets to be a bit much with the agendas of people railing on other people like the OP here who just wanted all opinions instead of just one side. Balance is always great. And, if things seem lop-sided, then it is a good thing to seek out both sides. IMHO.

I am back in the 80s with the money I am pulling in. SS, retirement check and my paycheck, cha-ching. Not planning on taking it with me, never. Love to travel and have 4 places planned for this year. High maintenance lady here. Ta-Ta.

They expect everyone to work a weekend day. Their definition of team player is to actually work 6 or 7 days a week. One might consider it if the pay was there & she gave out some decent work. It is the ideal place to work if you are a workaholic with no life.
11 days is more than you would get inhouse...usually 10 days.
We have the convenience of working at home and yet you want MORE than what inhouse positions offer?

People at TT have been paid! People who haven't well, maybe you did not make count and your check
after insurance deduction. Maybe your bank is holding it. Maybe anything! But we GOT PAID. This is NO LIE. And I am sick of this board. Nothing but disgruntled exemployees arguing with employees who like their job. Ugggg. I am working. BTW: THERE IS WORK (clears throat) remember that? Work?

I worked for SS and some people were very RUDE and I am talking about the editing people in some
instances.  It ALL depends on the person, as it does with any company.  They paid on time and the lady over me was very nice, but boy the person in QA was mean to EVERYONE!!  Never seen anything like it before.
Are people trying to scare people or just tell them what is happening. I am not scared just seeing
that things are changing very rapidly and not for the better for me. If I have no work and need multiple accounts everyone else is in the same boat now arent they that have my accounts. That is how people know what is going on.
Maybe due to the people that manage Amherst. I think MQ would be a lot better off finding new people
up there with all the problems you hear about that office. Seems like something is very very wrong there.

at Medquist. I've checked out other companies but I liked MQ the best (I kept working at MQ while testing other companies).

to these companies (few, if any, are 100% honest, it seems), are going to be honest and tell you anything that isn't rosy and sugar-coated. Having a good prospective MT walk because the company isn't so great means less green dollars in their bank account every month. They're not going to tell us anything that DOESN'T make them more money.
More people will come into VR because the qualifcations to do MT are not the same. Lots of people w
to work at home. It's all relative to what you are used to. The nationals are counting on this. I think MTs will work cheaper rather than reenter the work force with no other skills than MT. The nationals are counting on this.

need to keep from naming names.  I thought it was an informative bit of information, but when you name names, then posts are way out of line. 


I would really like to see a truly professional way of talking about a company.  I don't care what board you go to, somehow people just do not want to play nice when it comes to talking about people.  If those people could learn to be a little more professional and stop posting names to their wrath or anger, then that will be the day I can say I am proud to be in this profession.  When I see those types of things, it makes my skin crawl.  If it were me being talked about, I would be livid.  I certainly understand why the posts were deleted.
