The only time I work OT, they offer 1-1/2 times my line rate which is OT pay IMO. sm

I rarely, rarely work OT though as I have kids in sports and a husband who works strange hours.

Looking for part-time work with good line rate.
I have loads of acute care experience and I am dependable. I never miss a day of work, willing to work weekends, etc. I am looking for a dependable company with steady work. Any ideas?
Lots of companies pay 1.5 times line rate
for holidays, but unless you work all day it doesn't add up to much. My company pays for us to take the day off and then if you work you get your line rate, plus get paid anyway, or you can take another day off in the same pay period.
That's a pretty good offer. Does the line rate go up for over 175 lph? sm
Will you have VR thrown in there also?
MDI-Maryland is an excellent company, pay on time all the time, great line rate.
I left also because I went out and got my own client(s).
They are very nice people.
The only negative I can think of were the e-mails from the owner say work, work, work, we are out of TAT.
Other than that, which is very minor, it was a good experience.
Can anyone tell me Amphion's line rate for full time?
I looked through the archives but could only find 6000 for part time.
Thanks
A lot of times, if they need extra help, they will over 1-1/2 times our regular rate. sm
This is the equivalent of OT but you get it even if you have not done 40 hours already. I have also received AmerExp gift cards a few times for incentives offered. I think it depends on the account.
I do know for sure that they are working on an incentive program but I have no details and not even sure if they are still looking at it.
I do know for sure that I make more $$ with Keystrokes than I have ever made anywhere else.
True - Regardless of line rate, if the work isn't
flowing like you need/want it to, then you'll not make your goal.
No offense, but do you work at line rate in-house?
s
Your line rate is good for clinic work.
nm
What is your present line rate? I gather you want to work as an employee and not as an
IC because you want PTO and the FICA, but would you work as an IC?
is the VR line rate 60% of the regular typing line rate?

I am looking for a company where I can work as an IC for good lph rate part-time...
I am needing to supplement my income, as I am the sole provider for my family due to hubby recovering from illness. I would like to find a good company with good pay (9-11 cpl), part-time employee status or IC, hopefully providing all necessary equipment. I have been searching the archives all day and have not come up with any other than Webmedx, but it sounds as if I would be doing mostly ESL to make the higher lph. I could possibly come up with the PC if I needed to. I have 8 years acute care experience. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. If you don't feel comfortable posting, I have included my e-mail address. Thanks much in advance for all your help
Need current info on ETransPlus i.e. work load, line rate (ballpark), cost of benefits, SM
and overall treatment of their MTs. I found archived opinions but all old. Is anyone there now that can comment? Thanks!!
I have one full-time job and 2 part-time jobs. It can be tricky at times, sm
but at least I now have plenty of work always. I have some big financial goals, and right now that seems to be the only way to accomplish it. I can't see any reason why it would not be legal -- why would you say that? I am cheating no one, except myself (out of sleep and a social life). Fortunately, I am single with no children or anything. I cannot imagine doing this if I had a family. At least my dogige understands.
We get 1.5 times our regular rate on holidays, so it is the same sm
as the hospital that I worked at previous to working for Keystrokes.
I did not work any holidays last year or this except 4th of July. I am not a big fireworks or too-hot-to-breathe outside kindof person, so I always volunteer for that one!
Their line rate was less than my current nat'l rate, even with mucho experience. nm
no msg
VR rate is 1/2 rate of traditional typing,I believe it is 4 cents line.
Webmedx ASR rate is 70% of your regular line rate. sm
So if you are on a 9 cpl account, you get 6.3 CPL plus any bonus / incentives / shift differential.
Is the ASR line rate 1/2 of transcription line rate? sm
Reason I ask is that I assume if they have ASR now that eventually all will be ASR except of course for the awful dictators as this seems to be the norm.
How much PTO does TT offer? Is it at your calculated hourly rate? What's the pay cut for VR? Ty.
Thinking of leaving the Web. TT sounds like a better place to be. Thanks.
Oh, they make money off us. Line rate is 17 cents a gross line.nm
z
Who would offer such a rate if they actually ended on paying anyone that or the accounts are....
probably awful, all ESL or something. No one pays 11 cpl these days so I figured there was a catch.
Great company with good rate offer
nice people in the management too.
They do offer an incentive rate scale to PTers. NM

Gave me one rate in offer letter, then changed
SGS gave me one nonimpressive line rate in offer letter, which I agreed to, then uncerimoniously changed it to a lower rate one month later, told me I had no choice. They are not good about answering questions and do lack respect for the very people who bring in the money. It is sad and heartbreaking.
I left MQ for TT. The base line rate was less at TT, but overall I make more per line with the
shift differential (I work second shift) and the incentive plan (I have never once failed to make at least an extra half cent per line on incentives - most of the time a penny). I was scared to death to make that move, as I had been with MQ since back in the Transcriptions Limited days. I have to say, though, that it was the best career move I have ever made and I have never, not once, regretted it.
I hope that was of some help.
OSi pays on time every time exactly what was quoted on job offer.
Someone is getting really confused here. OSi does pay on time. Pay has always been in accordance to my time sheet that I fill out. If OSi pays only if their accounts pay them, then I must be on one good account that always pays. This is not in any fine print of any papers I have received.
Great bunch of people to work with, pay on time, my only problem is that QA is paid by line instead
of by the hour and you must listen to all reports 100% instead of just jumping and filling in the QA markers.
QT gets my vote! I love it! Gross line pay, on time, 1 account, steady work! Great place!!!! nm

Yes, several times and did not get an understandable answer except that is where you get your line c
Nm
How many times do I have to reply??? lol Third time.
Trust me I do work for the money regardless of what account I am on. I am tired of writing this just to reply to that one response I got lol. I is not showing up on the thread. HERE I GO AGAIN....
Producing: I produce extremly high lines counts without the help of a progam such as IT and I get surpising remarks on it such as I bow down before you from coworkers which is one example. So, I think I am doing well in that regard. I consitently produce 160-170 lines an hour and always improving little by little, again, all without the help of a program.
QA: My QA has not dropped below 99% in quite some time and consistently is 100% on a pretty regular basis with 5 being pulled almost daily with so many lines I produce (I work overtime constantly).
Lastly: I am referring to jumping through hoops because that is exactly what it is. I am not talking about being put on a harder account to improve myself and my skills which would be great. I know and have spoken to a level 2 (with 17 years experience in acute care) who works 5 different accounts a day consistently and rarely gets her primary account and only for a whopping 7.5 cpl. I could make that just by staying where I am at level 1 there. I know also this is true becaue I enquired on how to get to the next step because I foolishly thought I was ready, haha haha. Boy was I wrong. I would have to learn 2 different accounts and 1 backup and any other account that would need me. That already sounds to me like I would be losing money.
Finally: I thought that just by being great where I am would constitute some kind of gratitude or reward without jumping through hoops. I am sure there is such a thing of a company thinking you are doing a great job and people actually get raisees for doing the same thing they have always done. Just not this profession I guess.
Thanks for all the great advice other than the advice that I was working less and wanted more and with no goals of wanting to be anything more. Trust me I could work no harder for them and I will continue to do so until I find something that recognizes what a great job I do and even then I will keep them part time. I love the people there and even my account, but I refuse to be told I am not working hard enough.
PS: I tested for Transcend with a hard account and the recruiter quoted I passed every test and did great. But, the down side was they only offered me 7 cpl which is more than I make now only by 0.5 cnts and it would not be worth switching for that and it is also a lot more than I got hired in at Spheris, so I think that proves I have grown with such little experience and have a nack for the field.
You all are great and give great advice. Thanks for all the replies. This had better go through this time. I cannot write this for a 4th time.
I worked there 3 different times; EVERY time
That's the truth.
Pay on time or many times a day early.
nm
they offer more per line because you have more

There are times when someone is with a company a very short time but they are obviously sm
management material, especially if they have been management somewhere else in the past. I have never had anyone as a manager and am looking into that but it is difficult to figure out what and how to pay this person, what their duties will be and what kind of hours I need help during. I have had 15 of the same MTs for over 5 years and while they are all good MTs, they either do not want to be or would not make good managers, but someone I hired just 3 weeks ago is someone I am considering based on her experience and what she has proven to me in this short time.
In other industries, it is called the Fast Track to Management or Climbing the Corporate Ladder Quickly. Why should MT be any different?
I had an MTSO once offer me 7 cpl per gross line and said it was equal to 10 cpl sm
for a 65 ccl, so would 6 cpl gross equal 9? It is so hard to tell with these things anymore.
Does SPI really offer benefits? The last time I checked they did not.
Thanks for any information.
Time & skill is what MT has to offer. Not nitpicking

Are there any companies that offer part-time
employee status? I am looking to work certain days of the week, but I'd like part-time employee status? Is there anyone that is currently in that type of situation that could steer me in the right direction? I have a lot experience and am very reliable. Thanks in advance for any help in this regard. I appreciate my fellow MTs and their opinions count in my book.
they offer 401K for part time
nm
MDI-MD: What are daily line requirements for full-time/part-time? Thanks! nm
nm
Yeah, and do any companies offer PTO for part time?
TIA
Line rate
I was offered 6.5 cpl. How do I calculate gross pay based on that? I'm not sure how many lines I can produce, since I'm still completing a transcription course and this will be my 1st position.
line rate
oh, my gosh -- i've been with them 3 years and am SE with a base rate of 8 cpl, but usually get 8.5 cpl with the 6000 lines minimum. that is just wrong that you've been with them that long and you're making that. have you ever asked for a raise?
How is their line rate? sm
Recently applied but worried they will offer a low line rate to begin. Do you know what their base rate is or does it vary based on test results and years of experience.
If so, do you know the range?
TIA:)
They did tell me the line rate..
Just wanted to hear from people who knew about them or had worked for them as to whether they are a good company to work for.
Well....about the line rate....sm
I was really offered what I felt like is going to be a good account, and this is only going to be part-time for me. I'm hoping the work itself, i.e., surgery center, will make up for the line rate. They were very accommodating on the actual amout of time I wanted to work per day, too. I'm going to give it a try. I have high hopes - we'll just see!
line pay, rate
these companies say excellent pay. how do they feel right posting that?
What is their QA line rate?
Line Rate
I talked with a guy from the company today by phone, and according to what he told me, they pay on a tiered basis. They start at 8 cpl for 10,000 lines and it increases from that point. I don't remember the exact numbers and amounts after that point, so I won't quote him. If you don't do 10,000 lines, then the rate is 7.5 cpl. This is for full-time people on a day shift; the rate for second and third shift is different. They don't want daytime part-timers, which is what I wanted. In any event, for a university account I think the rate is on the low side. I can make 8 cpl transcribing office work. I'll keep looking.
Sorry. I'm not sure about the line rate but I DO know in this biz...
that line rate is ever based on your years of experience. It's become pretty pathetic. I have over 14 years of experience and was still offered the same as someone with a few years of experience, 7.5 cpl, and of course you will see those paying 6-7 cpl and you will rarely see anymore on an ad where it reads, salary based on experience at least not in this profession anymore. Best wishes if you apply. I hope they offer you something worth your time.
