This is not the forum for you to try to be queen of QA. I am not insecure about my grammar skills, but I certainly am not going to get all in a tizzy if I make a mistake while posting on a message board, nor will I get all bent out of shape if I see an error in someone else's post. This forum is here to network with each other about various companies, hence the name COMPANY board and not GRAMMAR board.

Reminds me a lot of a large percentage of QAs -- need to nitpick on something trivial, real or imagined.
I would just tell them to kiss my butt, unless they are also paying my salary - otherwise they should MTOB.

The OP was talking about in actual medical reports, not on these posts - or at least that is the way I took it.
I too am concerned about the way medical reports are looking and being put on charts. It is ridiculous and dangerous!!!

Star Stop works better than express scribe. If you want start Stop, yea it is kind of sm
expensive. I wish they did pay their QA hourly as I think they would see better quality work, but they per line and it is higher than the other person posted.
I have never had a problem with management, so I am unfamiliar with what the other person experienced with management.
Pay is always on time (most of the time early). I like the software. I guess you just have to see if it fits for you.
Stop taking these insulting wages and they will stop offering them.

I would work and that they include 1 weekend day, which seems fair to me. We fill out monthly calendars, letting them know if we cannot work a day (be it a weekday or weekend). I have never been told I could not have a day off. We do not have to give the hours we will work, only the amount of lines we will put in per day.
I have absolutely no problem with any of that. Having worked for MQ in the past, where we were chastised for clocking in 15 minutes late or our keyboards were monitored for inactivity, MDI has been a breath of fresh air.
If I were an employee, I would certainly be upset if I had to log in and had no work and then would have to keep checking back throughout my shift for work, only to have to make up the entire shift later on. That seems very unfair to me.
If I run out of work at MDI, I email my liason and let them know that I'm out and I'll make it up another day if there's work. If there is not enough work later in the week, then I don't make it up. I can't help it if there's no work. I'm flexible, but I don't live to work. I'm also fortunate to have another income.
Sorry to hear of your situation. Didn't mean to be so nosy. Your post didn't say either way that you worked at MDI, but I just assumed so -- you know what that makes me!

Why do you keep deleting posts from MTs who are trying to help other MTs by letting them know what companies may actually be worth working for? The board mentions a lot of negativity about a lot of companies--I'm sure we don't mind seeing a couple good ones every now and then. Wussup!?

Still having problems with the search box. When I type something in the search box (even something that I can see within the first 5 threads of the page I'm on), I get a COMPLETELY BLANK PAGE with no search results. Is there something wrong with the search engine???? Thanks!

really nasty comments are deleted by the moderators..
and sometimes they are even checked before they make it to the board and deleted.
Guess the moderators didn't like it for some reason.
And only the original poster would have gotten the e-mail stating that their post had been removed.
I had a post flushed once. I wasn't happy about it. But it's their board, their rules, their say-so.

Sad but true. You're asked to work NOW, then asked to stop NOW, then go again and then stop
If you dont get off the minute the hospital asks, even if you have no idea that they have requested that your to be off, then the hospital MTs steal your work right out of your queue and I mean reports you have already done. I dont understand the concept of having a contract with a hospital and then having to fight for work with the hospital MTs. We should have guaranteed work during our shift and enough of the the hospital wants you to help right now and then a few hours later they want us to stop working as the work is too low. It is crazy and I couldnt work like that so I had to quit.

Why do people think they have to be the QA police here. I am so tired of
people voicing their opinions, only to have it pointed out they didn't spell something correctly, or used the wrong word, or made a typo. We put up with this day in and day out in our jobs, trying to make sure everything is correct. Do we really have to do it here too? Frankly, I'm sick of it.
