And, possibly shed some light here.  After seeing some of these posts, reading through many ads, and speaking with recruiters, and being knee deep in seeing some of the "mishandled, misappropriated, misguided, hypocritical, and profound blatant mistakes on reports, that are missed by QA, and mostly by some of these same Transcriptionist themselves, who are masticating the web way here with unprofessional manners, by defecating on employers, coworkers, future employers, as well as their lack of priority and care for their chosen career, really makes me wonder, what is wrong with this picture. 

To be an MT or have any part of this challenge means you should take pride in your work, and your abilities to not let the client down, nor the ramifications of what can befall poorly typed and not censured documents. 

The government has laid rules and regulations down, that employers and employees must follow.  There are guidelines written so to improve the quality of the grammar, which we all know most of the dictator’s lack profoundly. 

The report should culminate in a byline that is clean, states who, what, when, where, and how long, as well as how much will it take to either diagnose, prognose, treat, find a conservative balance, chose Hospice, or rehab, then discharge to whatever means the systems deems is fit, i.e. home, or rehab, or the morgue.

MT work is a necessity, a lucky job if you ask me, and a home based career that many if they just knew, would have rethought their path to go into. 

Be properly prepared; be critical of yourself, before criticizing others.  Take open critiquing as just a held out hand of help, ignore the attitude that comes with that help at times, because in the end that person is as lonely as a grain of sand on the beach, and try not to pass the mean, haggard fiery drippings down the food chain. 

The more you know the further you will go, trust in your newest reference books, if you have to argue, chose to argue with the means and ways of citing, and pg #s, instead of what you think you know.  If you prove some smarty pants that the law or legalities are so stated and written and cited here in the official handbook of MT Life AAMT BOS, or AP book of Style or any other know and respected reference material, your one-ups-manship has place a non-confrontational issue in your lap, said and done, it’s in print, and what you are saying washes nothing.
