Most of my subs are gals just starting out and have some experience but not a whole lot and so I think that paying them 8 cents is pretty good.  There is a company here in Portland that charges 14 to 16 cents per line and pays their gals 6 to 7.5 as employees but really get no benefits.   I used to subcontract to them and sometimes some of them help me out.   I sub out about 25% to 35% of the business as the gals only want to work a couple of days a week.   But it gives them experience so that by the time they are ready to do full-time hopefully they can.  Once I go digital am hoping to add an account or two and another gal and then by taking 3 cents a line without pick ups would be okay.  Like I said, I spoil my docs but they spoil me too as they apprecite my work and don't hassle me at all and treat me like a person and one of the office staff.   Have a good day.
