Thank you so very much for posting this. It is so disheartening to get up and go to work every single day when so many MTs have the attitude of the above poster.
It is so reaffirming to read a post like this from someone who really does appreciate us. You are the kind of MT that I keep coming back to this crummy job for every day. To help people who are very gracious, as you are, and who know that we are here to help, not humiliate people.
Yes, the lazy MTs make it bad for all MTs just as bad QA make a bad name for us, but I would never think of lumping all MTs under that banner.
I appreciate your defense and it makes me want to get back to work and keep on teaching.
