I tested with them last week
I took the test a week ago with them. You can either test for Orthopedics or acute care. You have to log into their FTP to get the test files. They also send a word attachment with a fill in the blanks test. I sent my test back to them 7 days ago, and I have not heard a word back. I tried emailing them asking what was going on, and asked if they got my test, but still no response.
No, but I tested for them last week.. sm
Completed the test, but never heard back as to whether it was rec'd, results, or if pos'n was still available. I'm curious about them, too.

It often takes my check a full week to get here but (sm)
I don't really think it's because they are mailed late; I have relatives in Florida and the mail from/to them can take forever as well. Since they quit direct deposit I basically just changed my expectation of when my check would arrive. I believe they do still offer the option of delivery by FedEx for something like $10/pp, which I used for a while before DD and my check was here like clockwork every payday. Whatever else I might say about JLG, I've always been paid on time.

said just take a deep breath. I am a good transcriptionist, but testing terrifies me, but I passed with flying colors and it wasn't near as hard as I feared it to be. I've had some very difficult ones before. I don't know if they have different tests for different types of work - acute care versus clinic, but it was still very easy.

we have actually been told in the past to not post about them -- it's THAT BAD. Womanizing horrible ignorant piece of crap company that doesn't give a rip about you. If you like being treated like an idiot -- go for it!
Sometimes takes twice as long to edit?
I just finished my first hour of VRing and I did 561 lines, that is at 4 cents a line and that equals to over $22 for that hour. I could never straight transcribe that many lines in 1 hour.

Yes, 6 cpl is low but three years is NOT a lot of experience. It takes that long to become sm
semi-proficient and we look for at least 5 years because of that. I would not go higher than 7 cpl with only three years experience and I think this is starting to be the norm.
Think of other fields ... plumbing apprentices, electrician apprentices, printing apprentices, etc. It takes 5 years to be a journeyman. They start at $8.00/hour and move to cap which is around $30/hour but it takes 10 years to get there.
Even teachers ... it takes 5-10 years to get top pay.

Once that happens, they get you installed and going pretty quickly.
You can probably call them about the Lanier unit to see if they have any to rent to own.
When I worked with them, the insurance was very expensive and not very good. They have promised to get better, but that has been going on for a long, long time.

I tested for them, heard back and they asked me to finish taking another part, which was clinic, as I did so well with their acute care, and then never heard another thing back. Very weird to say the least.

I don't recall having any equipment issues, however. You really should contact whoever your recruiter is and let them know before you proceed. I actually failed their transcription test by 1/2 a lousy point and I've been an MT for over 18 years!! They wouldn't tell me what I missed. I am getting ready to test with them again. All I've heard are positive things about this company.
I probably didn't help you very much, but know how frustrating it can be to post and have absolutely no resplies. From what I remember about their testing is that you aren't penalized for blanks, so don't take any chances with guessing. I would assume this works with their equipment as well.

Takes a lot of time to hear back
I was job hunting in July and had the same experience, no responses. It took weeks to start hearing back, then the responses started coming in. I even got some responses 2 or 3 months after applying. It just seems to take a long time right now. You have to be very patient.

I've submitted my resume for their QA position, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I was wondering if this could be due to the convention in Boston, or is this just the new trend in the application process? I've also submitted my resume to other companies, and there have been quite a few who haven't given even a short reply.
I know it's not because of a lack of experience, because I've been doing MT for over 15 years and QA for over 5. Any ideas of a great place to send my resume?

I tested with Precyse on Wednesday. How long should I wait until I hear from them. If I don't hear from them, how long should I wait before contacting them and inquiring about my scores.

Even though I know I passed with flying colors. Just seen another job post for them, so I sent in another resume mentioning the fact that I have already tested 3 times and have never heard back. She asked me if I still had my test and to re-send it to her. Well, it had been so long AGAIN that I had already deleted it but told her I would yet once again be willing to take the test over AGAIN and I have never heard back from them AGAIN! I have 10 years experience and they always contact me when I send the resume, but then nothing. I have taken many tests and I always pass so I am 100% sure that not passing the test is not the case. Just thought I would warn you. This is absolutely rude and unprofessional to behave this way. Good luck!

About 1-1/2 years ago I tested, aced it, heard back, only to be told with....sm
28 years of experience, formal college education, experience in all areas, all work types, etc., that I would be started at 6cpl, then if I got off probation at around 3 months, I could make 6.5 cpl, and then another six months later perhaps 7cpl. Set hours, you can guess, I passed this one over very QUICKLY, and also informed them nicely that if they wanted truly good, top-notch, first-rate MTs (as their ads say), then they really have to come up with a few more CPL, that what they were offering for someone with a perfect score and all the experience was actually an insult. They nicely said okay, let us know if you change your mind. Yea, right............

and I didn't have to take any test, but passed on the offer. I'm staying with MQ because so far no other company can compare to MQ's platform or pay rate. Good luck with whoever you decide to go with

I sent my resume to the jobs e-mail as I couldn't get the link on the website to work. I didn't hear back so took the advice to call the office. I was told that the recruiter probably would not respond to anyone who hadn't tested. I took the test yesterday, resubmitted my resume, and left my number with the recruiter.

Seemed like we all had enough work to go around. Perhaps this is more beneficial for the company, but the 35 hours makes it easier to work in a part time job if necessary due to low work.
Last time my accounts were low for a while I picked up an IC gig, then like a fool when OT was offered on my main job I quit the IC job and went for the bucks. That lasted about 2 weeks. Will not be that foolish again.
