Tier 4 is the highest tier at MQ, operative reports only. nm
.
High tier 4 now (out of 5--whatever) was highest MQ tier.
Can pretty much do it all. I detest pathology, too, and thick Russian accents. :)
Levels
Are the levels something new,  never heard of this.  How do we know what "level" we are?  I work acute care on a teaching hospital account?
They also have different levels s/m
of MTs, five levels in all, I think, depending on your experience. I really don't know what the pay is for the different levels.

I quit MQ a few weeks ago, went to Webmedx. Love it. Great people, great platform, making quite a bit more than I did at MQ, with the Webmedx incentive program. Glad I made the jump!
Anyone know what Webmedx levels are? sm

Example:

Level 4 is top, does everything.

Level 3 is acute care, no op notes, etc.

Anyone know what Webmex's are?

Thanks.

Wrong on so many levels

1.  They are not in Korea.

2.  SPi are?  What country are you from?

3.  No robots, just foreigners.

4.  No way to take back our profession because there ARE NO ethical services and/or hospitals and physicians out there.

5.  We type Indian doctors all the time.

Why would we have to test for higher levels when we already do them. Well, SE is much better for me
so I will be looking for SE meanwhile or IC.
But it is okay for YOUR upper managment
to come on this board and bad mouth past employees, offer names to companies, and say half truths. So...I get it now, that is how the show runs, YOUR people can come on and say WHATEVER, but no one else can say anything negative about SHAPIN or it is slandering you? What kind of nerve does Shapin have? This is the most absurd post!!!!!
I made upper 40s with them 6 years.
My insurance was around $350 a month family coverage. I have been gone from them about a year.

Ironic though that upper management's SM

salary, perks and bonuses make yours look *cheesy* also.

I am not upper mgmt. I am just a Transhealth employee. They have gotten

a bad wrap on these boards.  I don't know who has done all this, but I can tell you that their current staff (including QA) are the best.  The ESL account is a tough one but you have a good QA staff to help you get to know it and there are samples available for you immediately.

You may email me and I would be happy to share more.

Also, their insurance is available the very next month after employment.  If you start on the last day of the month, the insurance is in place the next day.

I've made in the upper 40s and low 50s for several years now.
From 2 top nationals. Yes, it is possible.

Can everyone do it? No. Some people are better at it than others. Some can put their headset on, hit that pedal and keep on until it's all done. Others cannot sit still, don't have a very good skill set, are easily distracted or listen to too many complaints by others. Never let others help you decide how to feel about YOUR job.

Some of it will rely on your skill set, your mindset and your self-discipline. Some of it will depend on working for a company that you are comfortable with - comfortable with their set up, how work is divided, their base and incentive pay, etc. If you're upset, you'll not perform as well. If you're unhappy, you'll spend more time being upset than working and being productive.

Very disorganized. Unqualified ppl in upper managment

LOL Everyone I guess that says something good about a company is upper management.
Make sure you get your facts straight before you call me upper management.

If anyone would like to email me, then that is okay with me. I dont know how to add my email addy on here, but if you let me know how I would surely like to email you.
This coming from upper mgmt. Read other posts
nm
No, they kept me with all the layoffs, and my accuracy rate is upper 90s, so not worried about that
x
It is a Pakistani company, all upper management are pakistanis.
:+
TransTech upper sent out email for blackout on vacation for several days, so only a grain or 2 jobs

available due to some MT's on vacation *probably looking for job*.  We are TAT up-to-the-minute, so NOTHING to get excited about at TT.

Same ole grab-it-while-it-is-there workload.  LOW, LOW, LOW.

New tier pay
I am a rehire with MQ. I found out about it when they offered me a half-cent less, but went on and on about how this tier pay plan would allow me to make up the difference. It's one of the "the more you type, the more you make" deals! As an IC, I'm not impressed!
MQ tier pay sm
That isn't very tempting when DQS keeps you from making a decent number of lines.
MT tier pay
I have been with MQ since 1983 but I have to respond on this tier pay thing. It stinks. The office I am at actually LOWERED the pay. I have been on tier pay for years and it was fine but when they closed one office and transferred to another, the tier pay was different. 4500 more lines per pay period before tier pay even started and then it only goes up 1/4 cent at that rate instead of 1/2 cent. I have screamed about it but have found out not all MQ offices are the same and they set their own rates. Now that the office I work for is closing too, I am wondering about tier pay. Its all a joke far as I am concerned when it comes to that subject.
Tier 3
This means you get all type of reports OR, DS, H&P, and others, etc.  With Tiers 1 and 2, your limited to certain reports...I don't believe they do ORs.  They may just do DS or H&Ps.
tier 3
I am a tier 3 with Medquist and harmonization says 10 cpl is the max.
What's a Tier 4 MT? - NM
x
MQ has a tier 3 level that is only Ops
nm
I think so ... first tier starte at 13,000 sm
then next is 14,500, 16,000 (I think) and ultimately 20,001.
MedQuist has a tier 4/ops only, but you have to
.
Are there any Tier 4 MTs left out there? nm
.
it tells you your tier rate
on the sheet that comes with thepacket. If you are a Tier 2 like me when I wanna be a Tier 3 I have to test. That's for everyone. I don't know about new hires as SE's are changing to new hire with 8 or 16 or 24 hour work week. Maybe an SE can answer this who has the packet, I am full time.
amphion pay scale tier 3? - nm
nm
We are on a tier system, Base pay
for so many per pay period, then increased in 0.5 cpl increments for so many lines up to a maximum.
We work on a tier system, the more
production, the more money for my FT job. My IC job I make 10 cpl.
BTW The pay at these times with the incentive tier
At least for my abilities and b/c I am willing to work hard. My checks after being so low elsewhere are finally getting back to where they should be, and the bill collectors are much happier, so I am too.
I guess I'm what you would call a tier 4........sm
I can type pretty much anything they throw my way except I do have trouble with heavy Russian accents and I detest pathology and had rather not do radiation oncology but I can do them if pushed.

What's on your mind?
MQ-New Testing for high tier pay rate

one more thought for the evening on the tier pay rates

are these rates for new hires or will our rate of pay be adjusted according to the stated tier

and does the testing only apply for new hires

any where on the packet does it actually state what your present rate is and if not, and all the packets being sent out are the same, why were we all called--do we have to sign anything and send it back to MQ and when does all this go into effect

thanks for all your help

That wasn't my experience, but their incentive tier goes by lph sm
which boosts your line rate, so that is kind of nice, since I was only working part-time.  I thought the platform was rather slow, though.  I normally average around 300 lph and even typing like a fiend, I could only make around 250 at Webmedx.
Not sure, but they have a great incentive tier and differentials
and you can get those line counts. Reminds me of days working for the hospital, first time in years!
Diskriter pay tier scale decent?

WN

what service area are you in and what tier level
nm
No Calcutta. Mumbai or some other Tier 3 city.
NM
Incentive tier isn't so good when it's hard to make lines. I'm about
nm
MAYBE they only need coverage
during those times. They might have other employees/ICs that cover other times so they only need them then. If you don't want to work then, then don't work there. As an IC you do not have the right to jump in whenever. You only have the right to say I will work xx to xx; or say no, I will not work xx to xx.
They do not pay anything on family coverage, IMO. That is why I would rather be an IC and buy

my own policy versus being an employee of a service.  When you think about it, being an employee for most of the services out there offers no real benefits at all.  I have found that the PTO that some of these companies offer as part of their benefits package is a crappy.  You basically get paid a base hourly rate for any PTO you take and that base rate never EVER equals what you actually make when typing.  So you are basically penalized for taking time off.

And health insurance benefit packages are a joke!  They pay nothing for family coverage and not to mention there is always the threat looming over your head that if your production falls, they can take your benefits away.

If I were you, I would either be an IC and buy your own policy or try to get on with a hospital that offers work at home MT jobs.  Hospitals are the only places that offer decent health insurance coverage for families.  I have my own accounts and bought a health insurance policy for my kids and I, but recently I took a job with a hospital just for the insurance.  So now I have my own accounts plus I work FT for a hospital from home.  I pay $175 a month for family coverage with a $1000 family deductible.  It was financially a smarter move for me to go to work as an employee with the hospital because I'm saving a bundle on insurance.

Again, let me say, I would NEVER go back to work as an employee for a service.  They don't offer anything that I would consider benefits.  You're better off buying your own policy.

Family coverage
is about $217 per pay period. I think you have to get this one if you have more than one child.
I have the individual coverage
and it's about $17 per week.  United Healthcare, good plan.  250 deductable.  I wish I could help you more but I know my regular doctor is on the plan so I am quite happy with the coverage.  Hope that helps.
I pay $202 per month for just me. The coverage is sm
OK, not bad actually. I don't go to the doctor often though.
Yes they have family coverage

but I do not need that right now.  I have a schedule but they are flexible hours so that really helps.  Pay does include all spaces, but what I like is the direct deposit and the steady work.  I have been with Medware for 2 years and always have work.  If my primary is out they give you a back up account.  Finally my income meets my needs and I can move ahead with some things around the house that needed fixing.  Plus it's nice knowing I have good health insurance.

We apparently don't have the same coverage
I have been charged the deductible for office visits, which was a surprise to me when it happened. Also, many medications are $50 per co-payment.

If you are healthy and don't need it, I guess it's good insurance. If you use it, you pay a LOT out of pocket and now it will be worse.
WMX has best overall family coverage
I absolutely agree 1000%!!! It has great benefits.
Vacation Coverage - IC
I work as an IC also, and I'm taking a few days off in just a few weeks. I let them know a month ahead of time. I'm the only one working for this company (very small) and she won't hire anyone else, so they know what they're in for when I'm gone. I don't know what they're going to do because they always had another girl for back up. The only bad thing I'll have more work than I can handle when I come back. I'm not sure how other companies handle the situation.
