Are you talking Trans Tech or Transcend? Could be either one.
The only work available at Transcend is the junk accounts that they don't trust the MTs in India to do. I'm sick of the work going there, and it's very obvious. They stink at communication too. Sooooooooo, I vented and feel much better. 
Use your brain, please...
If you really believe you can make more money working directly for the client, then do that. Or, better yet, go out and find your own clients and see how much they are willing to pay for MT services.
My brain......
I have 17 years of acute care experience. I work at home for a large 350-bed hospital, along with doing clinic for KS. I also do maternal-fetal medicine for another company. I would put my brain up against yours any day. Sometimes having a change, such as clinic, helps to give the brain a rest when spending a day with ops and maternal-medicine reports (which by the way is not easy work). Don't judge me just because of an observation I have made. I have been where hospitals and companies don't assign work out in the hopes certain people will leave. My advice to you, if you don't like it, find something else instead of complaining about it on here.

I don't really care how much money corporations have invested in VR, ASR, whatever they want to call it, I'm voting with my feet. I'm getting re-educated in a different field and leaving transcription as soon as it is feasible. In the meantime, I am actively seeking IC work that is straight transcription.

It is most certainly a pay cut. I have worked on ChartMatrix and can tell you that this software is slower. I did not see any improvement whatsoever in the quality of the SR that I did on that software compared to what we are working with now. I would have to be able to consistently do more than 350 lph with the new software in order for it not to be a pay cut based on what I am making now with our current ISR. In the example she provided the MT was only doing about 280 or so LPH with the ISR, correct? I know it was NOT over 300...
that tells me some people don't know how to use their brain.

admittedly don't care if the company they work for offshores. I refuse to work for any company that offshores. I am an AMERICAN and until every American has adequate work, I say, keep our work here. We are being the authors of our own demise by our I have got mine kinds of selfish attitudes.

I know why, but I don't understand why. It is like they did it on purpose. Why not just sell-out to start with, why let it get to the point that it did and have their name smeared everywhere (let me say justly so). I know there are still MTs who don't know all the details and I myself probably don't know all of them, but I know lots of details and they aren't pretty.

That's my definition of IC as well. I used to have that position with MQ, but with all of their changes I'm...well...looking elsewhere. I have no problems with promising a number of lines as long as I don't have to do them at a specific time. Things happen, especially when you have kids, but if you have the work ethic you'll still get things done, just not at a specific time. Agree with the pool as well. You'll never have a great line count unless you have consistent dictators. If anyone believes differently, I don't think they've seen how fab your line count can be with the same dictators. Anyway, it sounds like you work for a wonderful place with all the things I'm looking for, i.e., 24-hour TAT and consistent dictators. Would you mind sharing where and if they would by chance have openings you know of? You can email if you don't want to post it. Don't worry, I'm not thinking I'd start at that cpl--I'm sure you had to work up to that:-) I'm really just looking for the other perks.

Maybe I haven't taken enough time to learn it (I can be a bit impatient with myself), but I seem to have a mental block and have about given up. I used to have Smartype with my old system (before DQS) and wonder if it worked with Vianeta. Anyway, anyone out here, what do you use other than the ShortHand that comes with it?

I had ben contacted several times to work, then nothing, then once they contacted me and I was unable to that day, so nothing. Now I got another call asking if I could - said yes, and guess what - nothing. Maybe they forgot who they are contacting?

Work is easy/normal, but platform is slow with entering a lot of demographics. Pay is regular at 8 cpl. Staff really easy to work with. Have you applied yet?

Has anyone heard of this company? You pay $4xx.xx to take the course, and are then hired by them to work for them. They are a member of the BBB, and have very few complaints. Just can't find anything else on them.

Does anyone know any information on this company as far as work, pay, etc.?

I was wondering about them. I just started doing some research on them tonight and have read some pretty decent comments about them -- until now. The rate sounds very low; however, if you break it down you get -- 0.0051 per word comes to about 82 cents per minute of dictation or 8 cents per line (65 characters). When you look at it that way, it doesn't seem so bad anymore. Pretty much right up there with every other company. Thnx for the info about late checks.

I've been doing the same thing. I'm still waiting for the fees for wire transfers and for the bounced check I had because of her bounced check to be deposited in my account. In the meantime, I need a job.

Run away from J. at MedTrans of America. She will not pay you. I am going to the Labor Board. She has only voice mail and now does not answer my e-mails. She says she does not pay for spaces. Thank the Lord I only worked for her briefly. Keep away.

If MDI-FL is owned by Transcend and Transcend admittingly offshores, sm
then doesn't that make MDI a company that offshores? That's like saying that one branch of a company offshores but another does not, so they are excluded from the offshore label. If MDI-FL is part of Transcend and Transcend offshores, that means that they do.

Your hypothesis is incorrect. MDI is a wholly independent subsidary of Transcend, therefore, they were not a part of the experiment to offshore to evaluate cost/benefit ratio that Transcend only tried for 90 days (I believe the evaluation process is not still ongoing).

I worked for them back in 2000 and 2001 for 8 cpl hosp and 7 cpl clinic. They direct deposit pay and are reliable and on time with pay. Only problem I had was that pay never would go up higher than that but don't know about now. No set hours which is good but 24 hour turnaround time. I actually know the owner from living in that area in the past and they are a trustworthy company just not high paying unless they have changed. I would be interested if you get a job with them how they are now to work with. Anything else I can answer just ask.

I am going to be starting with them today and I was just wondering what anyone can tell me about their experiences with LMT TRANS? I had to leave my other company because started sending work overseas and left me with next to nothing to type or QA. I am hoping that this company can keep me busy.
