STYLE ISSUE... That is what I was trying to say, but couldn't find the words!!!
Wasn't that company, but a large national and a newer QA person.

I should have worded that better...
Some people do not like their platform. There are plenty of people who make really good money there though. I do know that for a fact.
I guess it depends on what works for you, but I think it is a great company to work for, not something you find in a lot of places nowadays.
I probably should have worded that sm
differently. She was plain old rude and nasty and that was AFTER I accepted the job. The kind of person who insulted you every time you asked her a question like you were quite stupid. Sorry but past experience tells me that stuff like that is not a good fit. I changed my mind about accepting that job and took another just because of the recruiter.
Did do a search on her later and found that I am not the ONLY person who has a problem. Obviously this persons reputation goes before her.
BTW, are you one of those hateful, snotty, condescending recruiter/supervisors? Sure sounds like it.
It's worded a lot like Transolution's ads are. nm
xx
probably worded that wrong sm
but what I was thinking was that lots of folks don't check these links. I was wondering if they had picked up another company's logo and was using it for the the orgaization they were advertising the link to.Funny thing is they are also using the logo for the wrong website too. Chill and don't take things so personal. It was just a question. Seems like this is board for those who want to rip other folks up for legitimate questions. Does that make you feel somehow superior?
I worded my question wrong.
I have been an at-home MT for about 7 years and am not naive about work. I know they will not work around me. I really enjoy this field and would like to stay in it. I take work very seriously and do not blow off work. I need a paycheck to help with expenses, as we cannot live off just 1 paycheck but my children are also very important to me. Once they are in school this should no longer be an issue.
You said it perfectly!!!!!
There is nothing I can add except that I used to love medical transcription. I wish it was like the old days.
You explained that perfectly! sm
Bingo! This job is very isolating and most of the jobs are found via Internet, so there is no personal (face to face) contact. This board helps network other MTs. Sorry that some people don't seem to understand.
Amphion would fit you perfectly. nm
nm
It works perfectly well.

I would think it is perfectly legal if it sm
is some kind of training you MUST learn in order to IC for the company. Don't see why it wouldn't be legal. I guess they can say that they no longer utilize ICs who haven't had this training.
I am perfectly satisifed there. I like it quiet. nm

Oh, I understood your point perfectly.
Your statement was why call it a holiday if you don't get paid. To which, and I say again, it's a holiday whether YOU get paid or not, something you should have made a note of when you were hired.
And, BTW, individual beliefs and holidays and pay - and our attitudes to such - are all related to our human existence, existentially speaking.
Bravo! You stated that perfectly! $50K for me, too!
Then AHDI can call me and maybe we'll talk.
Oh. I use my own expander ShortHand and it works perfectly.
No problem getting my 275 to 300+ lines an hour either.
No, wrong again, it is in modern times perfectly acceptable to
start a sentence with 'But' and even with 'And,' especially when putting emphasis on a statement.
Would you please be so generous as to send your company gift to me since you are perfectly satisfied
with our job paying us for NO holidays, use PTO earned for sick, holiday pay, and everything else that may come at us in life! You better believe those inhouse clerks, etc./sups, leads, execs and on and on get their GIFT and a hefty one at that. Why are we at-home supposed to be satisfied with nothing, but a low-paying job, low work most of the time, requests from company to flex and flex for THEM, but no flexing when the MT needs off.
Yes, I am thankful for a job, and that is exactly what it is . . . . a job (almost). That is if you consider NO paid HOLIDAYS like all other types of companies give. Yes, these are hard times, but these hard times are hitting the MT harder and harder each and every year! It does not affect the office support staff, etc., etc., etc. They are paid for holidays and whether there is work for the MT or not. We are piecemeal workers only (similar to sweat shop workers). Yes, I am thankful that I have a paycheck coming home, BUT I have to WORK VERY HARD for every penny that comes home to me in the form of a paycheck -- without any paid breaks or holidays. The office staff are the lucky ones -- everything paid for them!
From the MTSO's side, try to realize how difficult it is to maintain a perfectly even flow of--
work for everybody. You might say you want ONLY XX minutes a day but what happens if a doc decides to get caught on his backlog? Or another MT wants off for the day because her daughter has a fever? Or another MT just has to take off a few hours to run her dad to the doctor's office? And then another account realizes it's almost the end of the month and they need to get all their reports in? Or if there is a chlorine spill at the edge of town and the ER account gets swamped? It is impossible as an MTSO to keep the work at an even keel. If you hire people just for overflow, then some days it's too slow. So your overflow person quits. Or it gets slow because it's February and everyone is avoiding deductibles and your MT's are b****ing about not enough work. Then August hits and work comp pours in along with weekend warriors, then the MT's are screaming that they are overloaded. There has to be a certain amount of flexibility in the MT's end or it just won't work. MT work is like LIFE, it comes at you in waves.
It is perfectly legal. You need to be FT to get benefits. You need 12000 lines to be full time. I
period so there is no issue. Why do some people here try to make everything ugly?
What the person did NOT say is that it is averaged by quarter. So if you do 12,000 lines one time, 15,000 the next and 10,000 the following, it will balance out. They also do not count it against you if your account is slow.
