Synernet test? I get Synernet Transcription is not hiring at this time. Anyone else?
Synernet Transcription..Did anyone else apply and test for them?
Just wondering if anyone has heard back. It's be nice if I would hear back, whether I passed or failed but sometimes you never do when you apply at these companies and I find that frustrating. I'd rather know one way or the other so I can keep moving on.
Synernet.net
I looked at their website and this is what they require. I can do this most days but this is a bit much to expect from the start. I can understand that for editing but for straight MT'ing 1600 lines? A lot of MTs can't do this. Wonder what they pay?
Production requirements (typed) are set at a minimum of 1,600 lines per eight hour day while edited line rates are at a minimum of 2,200 lines per day.
Synernet pay
4 cpl for editing.
Synernet
If you are looking for a small company with great benefits then Synernet is for you. Just make sure you have no health problems or ever have to go the ER or be put in the hospital, have earthquakes, or God forbid not have a perfect family and sometimes have problems that arise. If any of these things happen, then you will be locked out of their system and fired. Oh and they like to hang up on you when you are explaining your situation, even though you have called in advance.
Synernet pay
7 cpl for 55 character line and NO spaces for typing

They are all about their inner circle. MTs are just machines to them.
Synernet pay
They pay 7 cpl on a good day. Depends on who you are and how good you can brown nose. They expect robots. Its all about the higher ups. MTs are treated like machines. God help you if you need a day off or have a crisis.
They have great benefits, but good luck using them. PTO is a joke. You can earn it, but no way are you supposed to use it.
Synernet pay
7 cpl for 54 character line, NO spaces, employee status

Does anyone know anything about this company? Thanks.
Synernet
I have an interview with Julie on Monday, 20th. How fast and far should I run?? :-)
Anyone know what a company called Synernet pays? nm

The only time I tried to apply at Diskriter I had to take a transcription test and it was horrible.
The sound quality was so bad that I just could not take the test. Even though I have 14 years of experience in acute care, they would not hire me because I could not do the transcription test. I would have been happy with just a written, or even a transcription test with better sound quality. I wonder how many people were put off by that. Maybe it was just me.
Precyse Solutions is hiring part-time and full-time right now.
Saw this on their website.
My thoughts exactly, why waste my time when you know you are only hiring full time? nm
nm
They seem to be hiring all the time.
Must be hard to keep good help these days. I sent my resume in a few weeks ago and never heard back.
Me, too! The last time I took an oral test sm
the recruiter called so early in the morning that she woke me up. I had to whiz like a racehorse, was half asleep, and had not had my cup of tea. Got all correct without references. Shouldn't we KNOW our stuff WITHOUT CHEATING? Geeze. Many of us have had to/will have to transcribe reports under stress (stats), that we should ALL be able to do an oral test over the phone. Shame on you for advising people to cheat.
they do but as of their last job ad they were only hiring full-time...

Anybody hiring part time ER? sm
Does anybody know of any hospitals or transcription companies who are hiring for part-time ER work on eScription? I have been doing eS for 5 years and have my Advanced certification in EditScript and am looking for an additional account. It needs to be a flexible position because I have another commitment. If anyone has any leads with decent pay, please feel free to send me a confidential email. Thanks!
Don't waste your time. Took a ridiculous test
Absurd. The test had so many holes in it, with areas where more than one answer could apply. It was ridiculous. And, I'm not a newbie - been doing this for 15+ years. I am now working IC for two companies, loving it. You can try it if you want, but I think the test was crazy.
TTS is hiring, it's more VR than transcription, but they do have both
nm
I know nothing. Why wouldn't you want to do a transcription test?
It'd give you an idea of the quality of the work you're getting yourself into.
Acusis transcription test
Has anyone taken the test for Acusis? I attempted to take the test...first of all they warn you right off that it will take 3 hours, and that you have to complete the test in 3 hours, nonstop. So I thought I could handle that but once on the site I find out you cannot use a foot pedal but have to use function keys for the dictation (but of course the function keys didn't work for me) so I had to manually stop the dictation plus you could not slow the dictation down. After doing 1 report and an hour was up, I decided it just wasn't worth it. Did anyone else experience these problems. If not, how did you get through the test? Thanks for you help.
Anybody apply/test for Transcription ETC? nm
.
A company would not go through the expense and time of hiring you only to not
contact you. This smells fishy. It is not the first time you have said this but it does not sound right.
Any companies hiring part-time?
I need flexibility. Willing to do a certain number of lines every pay period. I started with MedScribe of NJ and already they run out of work and seem to be dodging my emails about a secondary account. Afraid I made a bad choice.....
TransTech - they are hiring now, good time
....
Time to jump in here. Some MTs test well, interview well, only put references on there
that are perfect and basically SUCK when it comes right down to it.
The Transcription House does, but don't know if she's hiring right now.
I have taken the transcription test also yesterday and have not heard from them yet?
Do you have any update with your application? I wonder how the company is?
Anybody hiring for part-time ER within a window instead of set hours? TIA. NM

Yes, they are now hiring part-time MT's but only where absolutely needed. sm
They tried going to FT only but decided that was eliminating some good/great MT's.
I was told that the reason they were trying to only have FT MT's was that if someone worked FT for a different company and PT for them, they were burned often when the other company needed OT or schedule changes and that the KS lead MT's were left without coverage.
I started FT and went PT for family reasons and do not work for another company. I hope to go FT again in the future, but they worked with me to find a schedule that worked with my situation.
Is Spheris just hiring for flex time positons?
NM
Even so, it is very unprofessional and rude to not reply back when someone took the time to test!!
But this wasn't your transcription test. She just asked you questions,

Who is hiring part-time for ER, ortho, clinic dictation? sm
I have over 14 years experience. I love doing orthopedics, ER notes, and clinic dictation. Does anyone know of a company who is currently hiring for PT work right now? I am looking for a company that you don't have to spend weeks and weeks filling out paperwork, calling back and forth, waiting, waiting and waiting to begin work. I am very dependable, hard-working. Looking for someone that can respect that in this day and time. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Caught that. Thx! Something about competition clauses at the time kept them from hiring in NY state.

mine called during a time I had NOT given; then emailed with No Answer, So Go On-Line And Test;
nm
I applied at Webmedx, took test, passed, and they said no to my part-time schedule.
Maybe call and ask before you waste your time like I did.
I have 14 years of experience and I bombed the transcription test. Where oh where did I go wrong..
Oh well, I was offered a QA position at our local hospital so it worked out.
Hope Transtech is NOT still hiring, because we are all fighting for work right now OVERHIRE big time
Be careful right now, because TT has much overhired, promising something big coming up, but nothing seen by the MT's yet, just LOW WORK load.
I would not work for OSI because their online transcription test was so cumbersome w/o foot pedal
It took me 15 minutes to transcribe 30 seconds of dictation because so much time was wasted rewinding and fast forwarding with the mouse. I did not want to work for a company that could not even figure out to make the online test reasonable.
I work on the radiology account they are hiring for at Southern Transcription Services
and always have work. I have only run out a work a handful of times. It is a very busy account. It is a very good company to work for.
Usually a spelling test, a punctuation test, and maybe 3-6 test files to do. Sometimes done using

Anyone know anything about On-Time Transcription?
They contacted me today from an old resume on a job board. They gave no information as to line rate, platform, equipment, etc. I did a Google search and their website is not very professional and provides no information at all. I've done an MT Stars search and after going through several pages don't find anything, though I'm sure I've seen at least a post of someone asking about them in the last few months.
I'm not really looking for a position, though I'm always open if a better situation came along. I received their e-mail too late to contact them back today to ask them these questions myself.
Transcription time
Hi Guys! I know this question has been asked before but I can't seem to find the info. Can someone again please tell me approximately how long it takes to transcribe an hours worth of dictation assuming the dictation is H&Ps, consults, etc.. for family medicine, OB/GYN & ortho. Thanks for any info you can provide. I am slowly getting back into the business but don't want to take on too much.
Transcription Time
Thanks guys! That helps tremendously. Lucky for me, no ESLs.
On-Time Transcription
Anyone working there or have worked there? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Any and all info is greatly appreciated!!!!!
transcription time
I agree - depending upon the Transcriptionist speed I find that an average audio file with good dictation audio quality can take somewhere between 2-1/4 and 3 times the size of the audio file to transcribe - thus often a 45-minute audio file can take between 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2-1/4 hours to transcribe. Of course, though, more difficult specialties, ESL dictators and bad audio recordings can account for longer production times...
Anyone know anything about On-Time Transcription?
I think they use Emdat platform but not sure. Wondered if anyone knew much about them, i.e., nice to work for, plenty of work, decent accounts?
Can anyone tell me anything about On-Time Transcription?
I've searched the archives and cannot find a thing. I know they use Emdat/Inscribe. Anyone know about pay rates, management, etc.?
Thanks!
