Medscribe SWEAT SHOP
Hey thank you so much. I have been looking for someone to validate my thoughts. They treat me like dirt. The pay is crapola. They have all these little rah rah emails and they also email everyone with an angry and cross manner when one person does something in error. I am making zilch in this dump.
For 7.5 cents a line they want you to do impossible dictators like Laredo Medical Center where you can understand nothing and if you leave a blank they get mad because there is too much in editing. They call me when I don't make the line counts and berate me UGH.
MEDSCRIBE jacksonville, turn your house into a sweat shop
They are brow beaters.
pay stinks
If you'll read through past posts you'll find lots of
recent info. Why do you need menitoring if you already work as an MT. Unless you do clinic work most companies will require you to work at least one weekend day, at least initially.
If you'll read the archives you'll find out everything
you want to know, none of it good.
Please go find your new job and leave it be
I figured there would be a post on here after the forum. But let's not make it out to be more than it was. There was 1 post. That is because people's names are shown on the company forum. And on MT Stars, who knows how many posts are from the same few people. If Transcend was so bad, you would think that it would not be prospering as it is. I work there, I love it. I have had NO problems, NADA. I am not the only one either. I am sick of hearing the bashing. I am sure that there are problems there, as anywhere, but they are a good place to work and compared to some companies, a great place to work. If you want the "perfect" job, I guess you will never be happy. Sometimes you just need to be realistic and a little less spoiled.
Do the 30 minutes and leave the rest, then she'll get the picture.

I'm sorry about your experience - you'll always find at least one QA
person like that. If you are only hearing negative, you may also want to consider this: QA usually also have a very high quota of reports to meet per day and don't have time to give extensive feedback a lot of the times so you will only hear if you are doing something wrong - does that help at all? Consider no news on the others good news.
We'll find out more tomorrow (4/25)
We have a conference call about this Ceridian screw-up, and I'll ask specifically about the Equifax thing, but have a feeling it's legit - unfortunately like all the rest of this.
Go to work for them and you'll find out
LOLOLOLOL
If you look in the archives you'll find several
posts regarding problems with getting paid. They don't pay that well to start with. I have 20 years of experience and they offered me 8 cpl. I don't know anything else about them, but the payment issue would be enough for me to stay away.
I guess you'll find out when you go to work there....sm
Just be sure to not resign from Transcend until you see if this other company is truly all they told you they would be.
I don't think you'll find any work here..unless you have a C-phone...
Not much work here to keep me busy or even make my line requirements.
but I'll bet the CEOs find it funny. After they
They leave you alone. Pay is always on time. sm
I think you will be fine with clinic notes. I think the only accounts they pay spaces for are with Emdat accounts. Do not do any acute care work without being paid for spaces.
TIME TO LEAVE
I agree. After 22 years it is now time to get out. Where are my hip-boots when I need them.
Time to leave
I have started putting in my resume. There have got to be better companies out there.
At first things were not to bad but things have been going rapidly down hill.
I have always gotten good reviews but lately I find it difficult to work due to never getting a raise.
I do like my supervisor but I have noticed a change lately.
I have been on a special team for the last 2 years doing this one provider who expects 100% all the time. Now, i received an E-mail stating that I am being taken off of the special team because I made a couple of errors. Well, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. So, I am now looking at other companies. Another thing that bothers me is I was never paid extra for being on this team. So, I guess it is okay for them to ask 100% but it is not okay if I make a mistake. Well, at this point I do not care.
So, I would not recommend this company.
Then next time leave it for someone who
appreciates it. Lots of MTs would be very happy to have the extra money you're complaining about.
The pay is very low and they also offshore. If I can find the link, I'll post it.

that pays hourly and allows you to work at home, that just isn't the way the business works. I'm not saying that those type of positions don't exist, just that they are extremely rare. Now if you worked on-site that is a different story.
Solution: Find another job, part time or full time.
Post your resume, hope for the best.
Heavens, no. They are free to leave at any time.

Did you ever consider staying with them part time? I dont know if I should leave altogether or not.
And other days I just want to throw in the towel totally. Ugggg.. this MT business!
Is Keystrokes a big company or small? I am thinking of applying. Time to leave the Q. nm
The sad thing is that I do not even think they would notice if I left. I am a high producer but not very vocal and they seem to have forgotten about me :(
Oh, you'll get full time
but it will be full-time ESL. You won't get the full-time high line volume accounts unless you are a good ole girl. And the turnover there is frightening (because of the ESLs).
They'll definitely do it some time. You know they won't continue...sm
to pay us such a good rate when all the other companies are paying 3-5 cpl. If they all set their rates so low, there is nothing we can do about it if we want to continue to work. Their Town Hall meetings are always a pep talk followed by something that cuts your pay in the couple of years I've been there.

What a Springer mentality!
to anyone here and need anger management.
I SO resent the VR mentality
They don't RESENT paying technologists a decent wage for THEIR skilled labor, but somehow there is a mindset against paying a SKILLED Transcriptionist what THEY are worth.
NOTE TO HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS: We are NOT typists!!
Think of us more as TRANSLATORS and you'll see our fees/wages are BARGAINS.
Remember: These are not just medical documents, they are legal documents as well. If you want to chance those documents to people who work at bargain basement prices, you are taking a litigious gamble...
Corporate mentality
I am sure at least some of you saw on the news about the hospital shootings in Calif. yesterday. I was just talking to my neighbor today, who is a Occupational Therapist there. She was saying how bad the atmosphere in the entire hospital has been for the past 8 months. Somewhere along the line I think the compassion and caring has gone out of corporate healthcare. It is only about the almightly dollar now. This particular facility has been very secretative about lay-offs in the past months. People get called in and told you have 15 minutes to be out of the building. What ever happened to two weeks notice, they want their employees to give them two weeks notice before they quit but when they want to get rid of someone they just smack them in the face with it. The rumors were flying that there were going to be more layoffs and the shooter, whom everyone says was a really great guy, was apparently stressed out over the fact that he would be let go. It is a sad situation all over but if the corporations would care more about their employees and less about saving a buck morale in this country would be alot better than it is right now. My neighbor said they brought in a new CEO and that is when things got really bad. The real tragedy is that the manager of the department he worked in had just come up with a plan by changing schedules, and cutting costs in some other areas he was not going to have to lay anyone off. Everyone is saying if only the guy had talked to his boss. 8 kids are now without fathers. The hospital spokesperson steadfastly denied any future layoffs but the rumor is they are going to happen in June, it will be interesting to see how they do that after they got on nationwide TV and said no more layoffs are planned. A really tragic story, the guys who were all wonderful fathers gone for nothing.
not only the corporate mentality of sm
the way they treat employees but also the way the medical profession treats patients.
I have a chronic illness that puts me in the hospital every so often and I am telling you the care (or lack of) is ridiculous. Hubby works for this particular hospital for the last almost 20 years and he says he fears the day when some idiot comes in and starts mayhem. We did have an incident three years ago where some guy whose son had died went to the office where the doctor was at and shot and killed him. Worked out that he wasn't so ticked at the doc but he was ticked at the care his son got in the hospital and took it out on the doc. I am to the point I think the whole medical profession is something to stay away from.
Typical mentality: TAKE, TAKE, TAKE ..nm
You'll see this poster every time something is said or asked about Keystrokes. sm
He/she has a bitter attitude about them but never provides specifics. I think everyone just ignores this person. I know I did, and I am glad as I love my job at Keystrokes. It did take a few weeks to get started but they were waiting on my ID from the hospital. It was worth the wait. I have been there 4 months now.
Give it time, they'll get to you. The grand plan is
my shoulder, it's a block(head). The games they play, the excuses/reasons are old, worn out, and it's aggravating to sit there staring at that NJA cyclops when others are getting the work. Dog-eat-dog is not conducive to a good work environment. We didn't create the situation but we bear the brunt.
If you spend a little time reading the archives you'll see
lots of posts about how many are unhappy at Focus and are looking or left.
I'll help! I left MQ at the time of this original post
I found a great job with a great US company, and have my self respect back. Enjoy my work again. Go USA!! Go MTs!!
Don't sweat it. sm
It would appear that Medware is just the company of choice for bashing lately. Everyone is tired of bashing SoftScript and MQ now and they have turned their attentions elsewhere. It will cycle on through and Medware will be nonetheless the worse off for it.
Don't sweat it.
I answered no when asked if nuchal meant the back of the neck because I heard back of the throat for some reason and was hired anyway. They know people tend to freeze up on the oral tests.
Don't sweat it.....
we all have those days.......actually I'm having one today!!
I don't agree with this at all and this is the mentality that is hurting
Our paycheck is earned by us for our work, our skill, and our experience. A "thank you" is a little extra shown by your employer in appreciation for the little (or sometimes a lot) extra that you do for them. The thank you doesn't have to be monetary, just simply words of appreciation. I get really tired of hearing people say that our paycheck should be enough for all that we do. Sure, it's enough... if all we do is what we've been hired to do. But, if we go above and beyond, what's wrong with the company going above and beyond by saying "thank you".
time to find a new job, you are being scarewed
What company is docking your pay for some unknown reason? I don't think this abides by the Bureau of Labor and Industries Wage and Hour Division
