Not sure why people are knocking Sten-Tel. I am QA there, and they have been nothing but great to me. I make a fair hourly rate, and they have been more than understanding of my scheduling needs aas I have undergone radiation treatments and needed time off for surgery and such. I have no complaints....

Does anyone have recent information on StelTel as far as QA positions go? Do they pay on time? Do they have plenty of work or do they run short often? Is the platform easy to learn? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone provide information regarding working for StenTel in QA. Do they have steady work? Are they employee status or do they just hire IC. What platform do they use? Do they pay on time and is is direct deposit? I would be very happy to receive any information regarding this company and to know what your experience has been.

I do know they are like a chain, like the way a McDonalds work. They are all over the country and owned by different people.

STEN-TEL was the platform. I had no problems with communication, maybe too much micromanaging, IMming, and phone calls, if anything!

I don't know about Stentel, but a good rule of thumb seems to be SM
that if you are an extremely fast MT, you will likely not make as many lph doing VR. However, if you are pretty average speed at transcribing, you may be able to increase your lph significantly with the VR once the system has been trained pretty well. Just something to think about....
