I just don't think we are on the same page. I am not so upset that someone gets to retire at half pay at age 55, I just think it is a damn good deal and I would not complain. How many people retire at age 55? Not many!!! Good for them. I am so happy for them. What I don't understand is striking for more. It's called GREED and you are the one who is off base and bitter. I can't help it that your boyfriend makes $18K. I just hope he is very young and someday gets a better job.

They say to please flex your time when work is low. Then they send out emails when things pick up and tell us we MUST be on NOW if we are short lines/hours. Yes, my life revolves around you TT! I love sitting at my computer 12 hours a day every day to accommodate YOU! arrggghhh.
Maybe you could swap hard drives.
Didn't have time to read details of all these related posts so hope I'm not too far off your issue. You don't have to buy a new pc. If you can get a copy of XP just get a different hard drive installed in your new pc, take out the hard drive that has Vista on it and keep it as a backup and keep it set up when the rest of the universe catches up with Vista. You can install a clean hard drive and install XP with all the things that go with it. If you can't do it on your own most local pc stores can do it at a really low hourly rate and get it going for you. Just a thought. Good luck.

That is what drives me crazy about my current..sm
position. I was told when I was interviewed that each month everyone jumped on a conference call to talk about things going on with the work and with the company. Not only do they not do that, I don't know a single person I work with. The only contact I have had at all for almost 4 years is with customer service, my supervisor, or their trainer.
The management says most people like it that way, but it is starting to drive me bonkers. I don't need my hand held, but it would be nice to have some social contact with people who understand your profession, your account, or even just the company you work in.
I am finally over the 5-year mark for experience and am looking for something that is a better fit for me, but I am really disadvantaged in that I have no contacts through work. I think I need someone to adopt me.
