I work as a hospital employee at home, a large teaching hospital, and my work has decreased also (and I am certain no offshoring or outsourcing elsewhere). Part of it is a slow-down in general with a slightly decreased number of reports, but the bigger factor is that all of the MTs on the account seem to be doing more, working harder to make more money, whatever the situation (husband lost job, economy in general, etc). There is less calling off sick, vacations, etc, so little overtime, when just a year ago we were drowning in work because of shortage of MTs due to them quitting or vacations. We used to have somewhat of a turnover in MTs (the account is quite difficult), and no one has quit for over a year.
Of course this is easy for me to see because I work with a specific group of MTs. It would be much harder to see what everyone else is doing with a large service where people are jumping between accounts.
