wannabe
for your information - that is just a name a chose to use. I am a very experienced MT with over 20+ years experienced in acute care and clinic work but most have been for hospitals and clinics not nationals and just wanted to know if there were ANY NATIONALS COMPANIES that are any good?
sm-Radiology wannabe
Years ago, I did radiology in-house. I took some time off from transcription and when I returned, I worked from home. The companies I've chosen to work for do not do radiology work. I know that the field has expanded a great deal from what it used to be but I'd like to break back into it--I miss it so much. Is it possible to do that? I'm a hard worker, rarely complain and love the attention to detail my profession requires. What do you think? Can I make a come back in radiology? If so, any suggestions where I should start? Thanks in advance for your help and my thoughts and prayers to Heartlanders:)
Well, you asked about companies and said you were wannabe.

I assumed ...
they were from another planet. Seemed to be a whole different way of thinking than what we find here on earth in good company management.
Assumed you were American..
which makes it more sad that you expect such poor quality of your very private personal medical records and others as well, not to mention the lack of privacy in another country. Go figure!!! No patriotism whatsoever. Shame on you.
I assumed they would remain the same until 1/1/10
And then who knows whether those who chose to stick it out will have a pay cut...or if they'll even have a job at all.
Not sure legally because we're under contract until 01/01/2010 if they can tamper with or wages until then. You can bet once that magical day approaches, IMO, the cuts will occur. DEEP cuts.
Assumed she meant to-do list... sm
...as the MTs (who actually do the MT work!) are usually at the bottom of The Suits' to-do list as far as acknowledging and/or rewarding and/or appreciating. :-)
Just started new job. I didn't ask, just assumed
(yeah I know what happens when you assume), that I would be doing all Ops. I've done 99.99% Ops for the last 10+ years. Anyway, new company says I have to do everything. There are at least 10 different work types when you count EEGs, echos, caths, etc. I don't know how many dictators, but the list is 28 pages single-spaced so lots of them. How in the world can you be productive like that? The company says I make myself more valuable by being able to do it all. I can do it all, but I prefer Ops and if I can do them well, even ESLs, and do lots of minutes why wouldn't I be just as valuable.
I thought I made a good move but am seriously rethinking it.
I guess I assumed I was not getting anything because it's Christmas Eve..
and the mail has came. I'm sorry but I do feel it is extremely disorganized to miss people on a holiday. My opinion is this... send everyone something or no one anything. It's not like I'm an IC. I am employee, I'm on the payroll and they never miss me when they are screaming for extra help on an account. I've always gone out of my way. I'm just going to assume it was an accident and ignore it. I have a job and I'm grateful for that.
My apologies. I just assumed, which is horrible. sm
Do not base communication on your lead. If you are not happy, call Becky at the office. There have been changes and they are listening to suggestions, which is good. My lead is NOT the best but I have an easy account. I always call the office or email BB if I need something. The response is immediate. I bet you are on an account with my lead (HIM). Email if you want as I love to network with other strokers.
If I assumed anything I would assume your job IS on the line. n/m
I assumed that it wasn't actually them posting those.Just someone who wanted to make them look ba
I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt that a company would do something that would make them look that unprofessional.
I had assumed eScription was simply editing, not correct? (nm)
I assumed it meant you didn't need years of experience..what does entry level mean to you?
