All I can say is good luck to anyone trying to apply there.  This same person was posting ad weeks and weeks ago and kept saying her e-mail was down, her servers went back, everything crashed.  The work was ASAP needed immediately, but she didn't have anything up and going, kept e-mailing, repeating all the problems over and over.  Gave new e-mail address and when I tried contacting that one, wouldn't get a reply for days, and then she would repeat the same stuff over and over.  Even today, she has given another e-mail address, stating upgrade services problems.  That same stuff was going on way back early April.    The work was supposed to be immediate hire but I found out there was nothing ready at all, just blowing smoke for days.

The test she had was 11 pages or more long.  Ridiculous for someone with over 20 years experience.  Give me a test file and then decide. Finally got a contract sent over but it was stuff thrown in there I have never seen in a contract,,,,,,so IC beware!!!  Saw that and said, forget it.  This was early April mind you.  

Anyone that unorganized, who takes days to get back with you, makes me wonder about getting your paycheck. 

Where do I start about this company.  I tested and was hired, did a little work for her and Dianna was so unreliable - she will have a million excuses why there is no work all of a sudden.  I think what happens is she gets behind and then gets caught up, leaves the new hire in a lurch, saying that she has had to redo the templates over and over and over and over.  Read her post, she says she had 26 surgeries - people, come on.  I'm telling you, you are in for it if you work for this lady.  Sorry to be so negative, but I saw her post and I had to act to save you the frustration and hassle.  Your hint will be just by talking to her on the phone - I should have followed by instincts and not accepted the position.

I have searched on this site for information on page rates.  Not very current info.  If anyone could offer their experience with page rates, especially for surgery center work, as a subcontractor.

They are paying per page for surgery center work.  I have searched on this site for information on page rates.  Not very current info.  If anyone could offer their experience with page rates, especially for surgery center work, as a subcontractor. 

Disorganization is my number 1 pet peeve and reason for NOT going any further with a company. I used my time to apply and test and fax paperwork back so you'd think they could have done their part and at least followed up. I could even assume that maybe they didn't get my paperwork, that does happen with fax machines, but you would have thought someone would have emailed, called, something to ask where it was. I would not accept a position with a company like that. My thoughts are this....if they are so unorganized that they cannot receive the paperwork and get you going, then am I sure that I will get my checks on time and that they will not get ignored or put aside. So, for me, I'd give them a thumbs down.

the e-mail address of someone I can contact at Spheris to get my deposit back for equipment that I returned in July?  I moved out of state and they do not have my contact information.  I want to give them my addy so they can mail me my check.

Sure, feel free.  I really know what you are going through working with MQ.  It took me months to get up the nerve to finally untie my apron strings.

I would also like website and information on this company.  Is the dictation good quality?   How much do they pay?  IC or employee?

e-mail (free) blanketing anyone who gets on an MT mailing list looking for unskilled (low pay) workers to churn out poor quality work for big profits.  Sounds right out of a get rich book to me. Standard operating procedure for most companies in transcription biz.
