Say what? Capitalism is what it is!

In Reply to: Capitalism should be about making a decent - living, not the gluttony of the MTSOs.
My post was to try to enlighten some of the posters here - who are screaming about the very system they support!
Your post make my point - without meaning to sound hostile - you just didn't seem to get it: CAPITALISM creates greed and corruption because it leaves ETHICS up to the very entities who do not have so have any!!
In fact a corporation's MANDATE is to make as much money as it can - for the shareholders - ethics is NOT part of that equation. Many corporations are ethical, but they don't HAVE to be.
I think you need to educate yourself here - it's not what capitalism should be it is what it is. If you don't like that work to change the system.

One word: CAPITALISM
People tend to think if you criticize capitalism that somehow you are automatically a communist or a socialist - (and they usually have no clue what either is...)
But heres the skinny: As long as we EMBRACE capitalism we are asking for a system that encourages greed and corruption and has no conscience.
When CONGRESS gave the CORPORATIONS similar rights and powers as the INDIVIDUAL BACK IN THE LATE 1800s, the stage was set for what is basically corporate rule IMHO. If you want things to change, pay more attention to the LEGISLATION that continues to give corporations more rights - or protections - than YOU.
Greed is good? That is EXACTLY what capitalism
is all about. Make no mistake I am NOT defending certain MTSO's - I am simply pointing out to you that THIS (greed and corruption) is EXACTLY what you get with a capitalistic society.
This DOES NOT mean we have to give up freedoms, only that we have to demand Congress level the playing field - After all THEY gave the corporations the power and the rights they have... starting in the late 1800s
WHY ARE SO MANY WILLING TO just scream bloody murder at a system THEY support?
If you want do change things, roll up your sleeves and get to work, otherwise, give this company willing to PAY you for work a try - before you wish you had.
Capitalism should be about making a decent
