Here is what I sent to them:
I just want to say that I am completely appalled that an “American” organization would support outsourcing to countries just because the work can be done cheaply. This is something that the bigger corporations have done for many years to inflate their profits and bringing destruction to the American economy. I don’t know how an organization expects quality documentation for the US health system when it is being outsourced to a foreign entity where laws and many ethics are so different from those here in the US. It is obvious that you do not represent American MTs.
I personally do not choose physicians that use offshore services for billing, transcription or anything else. I certainly will not belong to an organization that supports taking American jobs away to turn a buck.
I expect my membership to be cancelled immediately.
